The RB room will be a strength of the team. It's one of the areas I'm not concerned about. After MJ and Webb, the freshman Baugh is a stud, and it wouldn't surprise me if he is top two in reps by mid-season. We have another freshman and a juco transfer that look good as well. Everything depends on the OL.
Yes, I was listening to the podcast but once they said how horrible our running back room was, I stopped listening…because if they’ve got that so wrong, they probably have everything else wrong too!
Weak RB is truly laughable considering the depth and talent there. Cam Carroll was solid at Tulane. The room will be fine. Mannie Nunnery is not on the team; he transferred. Folks also gotta keep in mind Billy strategy last year was play a ton of his true freshman and sophomores. Team now has a lot of experience.
We have a great OL I feel like. I'm looking at the young guys for nxt year too. These young guys who will be sophomore and RS freshman that's not starting this year, will step up and make it an awesome battle for starting time. Especially after another year of this new SC and nutrition, our OL have the potential to be great for the next 3 or 4 years at least.
Are you serious? Was it a great, good, ok, or bad OL last year? UF was 77th in rushing offense in 2023? That was with Etienne. How does that improve in 2024? UF was 114th in sacks allowed in 2023. Even if UF cuts the sacks in half, they would still not be in the top 30 in sacks allowed. You are delusional if you think UF will have a GREAT OL. They will not make that kind of jump. You could say they will be improved from 2023, but that won't be hard to do as only 16 teams were worse.

I just don’t see it. OLine is shaky, San Diego St competition isn’t comparable to what’s on UF schedule. Barber was shaky at best. At some point Mertz gotta throw past 15yrds more than twice a game. 5 wins is realistic

I thought the commentary was popsicles and rainbows but the comments are worse. Florida will not be good. Graham didn't have a great year. On paper he looked fine but I watched the games. 90 percent of his passes were wide receiver screens. Anyone would have those numbers in this offense. We should be preparing for a new coach.
I think we beat TN. I own them recently. Don't know what it is, when it comes to TN, we play our best ball. Mia as well, we play our best ball against them. When we do play them. Trask lead us to victory with our def getting 10 sacks.
I've listened to several UF podcasts. I know UF is in trouble vs Miami because every podcast is counting on the SWAMP ss some tremendous home field advantage. It is an advantage, but only a 3-7 point advantage. Miami played at TAMU in 2022 with 107,000+ crowd and went up and down the field, but didn't put the ball into the endzone. They played last year at Doak in their rivalry against FSU with a true freshman QB against Jordan Travis and only lost by 7. The same team you lost to at home by 9. I could see some false starts by the Miami OL, but I don't see the Florida players somehow transformed by the crowd into a dominant juggernaut.
UF beat FSU MINUS NAPIER'S BONEHEAD CALLS! UF is deeper than you might think. Billy made some great off-season moves as well. Miami won't do as much with the young QB.
@michaelhansford3799 The young QB was last year. Perhaps you haven't been paying attention. Miami has transfer QB Cam Ward. He's one of the best QBs in college football. Secondly, Napier isn't the only coach who made moves. All of Miami's 2024 transfers have multiple years of proven experience. Napier took some young players from the portal that won't help much in 2024. Cormani is a mess. He needs a year of development. Cam Ward toasted Cormani at Colorado 8/8 for 172 yards.

STOP selling false hope to Florida fans. It's a 4 win season. The WR room had 1 guy in Wilson that had any production. Now they have 2. Still not enough depth. Same for the offensive line. There's just too many holes in this team to fill. The over/under is whether Napier is fired before or after the UGA game.
Please STOP with the kudos to the UF athletic department for the difficult schedule. UF plays FSU every year because it is legislated by state law. If they don't play, no state funding for either school. Florida did schedule a home and home with Miami. Had they known the SEC was going to treat them like a red headed step child, they would not have scheduled Miami. The SEC scheduling is the reason the UF schedule is the most difficult. That has nothing to do with the UF athletic department. The SEC could have given UF a cup cake schedule like they did UGA last year, but they decided to stick it to UF in 2024 and in 2025 with the same conference schedule. In 2023 this team was worst than well over half of all D-1 football teams in several offensive and defensive categories. OFFENSE 77th in rushing. 114th in sacks allowed. 85th in 3rd down conversion %. DEFENSE: 79th in rushing defense. 70th in passing yards allowed. 92nd in defensive sacks. 75th in scoring defense. 77th in total defense. There are too many areas where UF needs drastic improvement. This is a 4-5 win team at best. Y'all selling hope for clicks!!!
UF always has one of the hardest schedule in the country. Even during the championship runs under Meyer those schedules were brutal. It's always been that way. I don't get the big deal of the schedule. This is nothing new for us. Go Gators.
@@curtiscrumity7848 I agree 💯. Mertz absolutely played above what everyone expected and I expect he will ball out even more this year with improvements to the offensive line and being in the same system for a second year.
They are only predicted 4.5 wins this year, if they win 7-8 games or more some how I’d say that’s worthy of stunning people. Especially considering their schedule this year.
