Oh boy,, 4k in fuel is a generous estimate with those gas engines.. If you wanted to do this loop in a 30ish foot express style cruiser, switching to a Cruiser 370 with the Yanmar diesel engines would be almost half of the fuel cost and much faster. I've been a delivery capt for more that 20 years.. Searay is a good boat manufacture but the gassers are not made for the long haul especially for the pocket book.
@@smokendt thanks for the comments, you’re completely right a diesel would be a much better option however, I’m already so deep into this boat. I can’t afford to let her go…..hind-site is 20/20 my friend.
@@caseymcknight3978 Thanks for the question. I only use Navionics. They work well however you can’t trust them totally, Don’t ever go into a area that the route gives you, without using your own common sense to study the area that you’re in and assume that the water is shallower than you think. Multiple times Navion has put me in a very shallow area where it’s supposed to be deep.
