I mean, wouldn't you come to the conclusion that you might never get to experience the finals again, that this is your one and only shot at getting your name on that Cup. Wouldn't you have said to the team doctor, "Just patch me up, tape me up, freeze my injury, I'm going out there at any cost"
I have seen the trend ongoing in the nhl for a few years. Could you guys have a conversation in your pod about how viable is building a team through draft or is it at all anymore? I guess Florida had like 4 of their drafted players total. How many Vegas had last year, zero? For me, it seems a bit overrated nowdays to purely "build through draft".

Now, just to educate you, Kulikov was drafted by the Panthers in the 2009 draft BEFORE both Ekblad and Barkov. He was traded in 2016, bouncing around a bit before Zito brought him back to help fill the early season injury deficiencies. Facts and context do matter.
