Upland Knight, you are dead on about picking up your hulls. I hunted SK for many years. In the latter years, we kept following up after truck tracks that ran parallel to the caragana strips in the grain fields. Caragana is shelter/food/nesting cover for game birds, song birds, rabbits, etc. We found lots of truck tracks, empty 12 gauge hulls (often steel #3) and....cripples! Then, we actually got to witness it. There was a pick-up truck driving along the edge of the caragana with gunners SHOOTING out of the truck bed! I'd seen enough. Add to it that, I had permission to hunt this tract of land and didn't want the landowner thinking I would do something that disrespectful/egregious! The birds numbers have been severely compromised too. Can't figure out why? ;)

Unfortunately, only sk resident can hunt pheasant but there is a pheasant farm called Pheasant Point Adventures. You can pay and hunt Canadian pheasant there.
