I have a signed program from one of their shows during the miners’ strike. Signed by Eric The Flame . One of the signatures was from one picket to another. It belongs to my uncle (I was Very young at the time) but he was a union official during the strike. He was in many news reports and is included in the 1980’s Rock and Roll Years.
Saw them live three times. Portsmouth, Fareham and Soton. Couldn't believe how they recreated the sound live!!!!! Have a 12 inch single of Only You in Spanish!😎
Wow just wonderful... I went to see them live when I was just only 15, at a club in Manchester... my dad took me, my GF at the time and my brother Mark... it was just the best thing ever... I've still got the album I bought there and then, with the inner white sleeve signed by all of them... Memories are made of this !
I saw them live at the Hammersmith Palais in 1984. David Brett just stunned me -- singing high notes on most songs and taking the bass line on "Remember This."
Been a fan since I was about six, but in promo pics where they all in a row they make me think of some alternative dimension where they were each a different Dr Who Which would have been cool
Live at the Albany Empire is one of my favourite albums but mine's a tape and I haven't had the means to play it for years. Great stuff! Thanks for uploading this.
My pleasure! I became a fan as my sister was pretty much one of their biggest fans back in the day. She recorded so, so much stuff off the TV of them back then, none of which i can since find uploaded on RU-vid....like them on Pebble Mill (BBC daytime tv show in the 80's) I have since asked her if she still has all of these recordings and unfortunately she can't find them. She had so much recorded stuff of them. Gutted it's all lost
I saw them at the beginning. 50p Jackson Club Hull. "supported " by Iain " sludge" Lees..fabulous. So drunk but they were so good. Had this on vinyl but never seen it till now. Fantastic thanks.
