“Have you tried ONLY crouching?” Spiff: Well, you can’t jump, so can’t get out of Freddy’s room..” *he then proceeded to make an entire run dedicated to playing it without jumping*
I can't wait for Spiff to end up creating thousands of obscure speedrun categories just because the game is so broken. I want a speedrun for summoning 50 giga monties and dying to them
I mean, that still kind of rings true. If anything, it's funny how the thing that resets your Speedrun is a necessary mechanic to complete the Speedrun.
7:45 My dad walked on a broken foot for like a week Jumped off the diving board, the diving board bounced back up Went to an emergency care facility, they said “nah it’s fine,” he walked on it for a few days to a week, went “this really hurts,” went to a hospital and they went “this is severely and obviously broken, how are you walking?” So uhh He was given the option of having nails put in his broken foot to get it back to size (because they had waited too long to put a cast on, and he had, y’know, walked on it) or he would just have to wear one shoe size larger than the other So he went with the two shoe sizes Can’t remember if he’s a 12/13 US or 13/14 US, I think it might depend on the brand We probably should have filed a malpractice suit, but it’s too late now Anyway, my point was you probably could walk with a broken/fractured big toe, you just really, really shouldn’t Take care everyone!
That reminds me of my mom. When I was a kid, she would volunteer to run the church thrift store, and in summertime that meant my sister and I had to go with her to "help out". The thrift store used to be a strip club, so it had awful lighting and most of the places were pretty dark, and one day she was walking up one of the darker areas and smashed her pinky toe on a bedframe hiding in the shadow (it was hot so she was wearing flip flops, shorts and a tshirt). She just ignored it, thinking she had stubbed her toe badly but when it didn't stop hurting for a few days, she went to the doctor and found out she not only broke her pinky toe, but she broke it so hard that there weren't any bone shards big enough to register on the x-ray. To the day she died, she literally had a boneless pinky toe.
@@Dargonhuman I mean, unless there was no blood, I suppose it’s possible there were no bones left whatsoever, fragments or anything, as they could have been ejected Also sorry, that last sentence just hit- I have no idea how recent it was, but regardless, my condolences
At the part where they were talking about broken bones I looked at the chat for one second and saw someone say "I've broken 4 bones, two of them weren't mine"
Its pretty weird that Sun kicks you out of the daycare for breaking the rules. Imagine a parent drops their kid off and then the animatronic watching over the place just yeets them out of it.
At 3:45, Spiff gets stuck in a strange, unknown room, one jokingly called the Security Breach Backrooms. This room is actually a hallway which connects the Monty Golf Security Office to both the Daycare and the East Atrium through other similarly cut tunnels and sections. The out of order door lead to a section called the East Utility, which would've lead from that hallway to the level ten door between the Monty Golf entrance and Kids Cove. Behind the wall across from that door (where the room indents to the side), there's a stairwell which would've lead up to the daycare, entering between the two bathrooms directly across from the main play area's door. Thought I'd share a small portion of my absurdly complicated forbidden knowledge of Security Breach's cut areas.
Again we have to ask... *Why did Steel Wool cut these out?!* They'd have been much better for quicker travel around the pizzaplex... Plus it could have been great fodder for classic horror tropes, such as "oh the monster is behind me and I have to run into a room and hide with limited time" or something like that. It would have worked so well...
Adding this as an addendum to the previous comment. If they had kept these quick access zones in, it would have worked WONDERS for the horror that SB clearly lacks, if you're not scared of a roach crawling on your arm at 3:30 AM while scrolling through your discord... which I am. Anyways, I think it would have worked lovely to have the animatronics roam around the entire map freely. As in, they could go wherever they wanted (to save on resources and pathfinding calculation, they would just teleport to their intended destination if far away from the player and out of sight, so the game wouldn't have to render Chica walking through the kitchen from point A to point B, for example.) Of course, they would teleport like how they did in old games (RNG decides if they want to go to an area, and RNG decides if they get to go to that area at that moment.) The way this goes with the Level 10 door and the "fast travel" tunnels that they cut out of the game could have worked as connectors between the different areas, for ease of access of Gregory, Freddy, and especially the animatronics. I think it would be a terrifying scenario for you to get caught by a staff bot in the atrium and have to run and find a hiding place, while Chica runs in from the kitchen, Monty from the golf course, and Roxy from the raceway, assuming they're all in those areas (using the same teleport idea, obviously they wouldn't run, they'd teleport at a much higher frequency in the direction of where you were caught.) If you called Freddy to escape, it would be equally terrifying since he wouldn't teleport near your location either. Instead, he'd have to RUN to your location from where you are, and HE would be subject to not being able to move occasionally much like the others based on RNG, say he gets stopped by Mapbot or has to take a detour. Did I write a whole essay on a speculation based on a few cut features from this game, on a spigg video even? Yes, yes I did. Do I regret it? A little, since I probably won't sleep. But it was worth it.
6:24 I just realized something. When Spiff used the camera on Sun, almost immediately the Animatronic Near ambience began playing, implying that there was a hostile animatronic nearby (in this case it was Sun himself). At the time of writing this comment I have not reached Floor Afton to see if using the camera on him causes the ambience to play. However, it would stand to reason that it would since it did the same for Sun. You know it's bad when you can immediately recognize the FNaF Security Breach animatronic danger ambience from just the first few seconds of the track. Because this game actually scared me quite a bit when I first played it. Edit: As of watching Floor Afton again, it did not play the music. Also, it appeared that Bald Sun, for a fraction of a second, had an actual model. What behavior could Bald Sun have, should we distract him with the towers and then quickly run into a play scape to escape him? Would he begin to chase us like the other animatronics?
@@kailanithekoimermaidThat most likely would have been the case. Him chasing us around, in broad daylight, probably acting the exact same as Moon (like being able to kill you while you hide in Freddy). Of course, that's just thoughts going through my brain. If I had enough courage to hack my PS5 (or buy SB again on steam to mod it and spawn in Sun outside of daycare to test) i would, since it may very well play into how the daycare attendant in general plays into the gameplay of Ruin, seeing as how he's.. been aftonized, if his red eyes are of any indication from the trailer.
I agree, the only issue is that he blew up too fast so there isn’t enough content to binge properly so I’ve watched sprintless like 4 and I’m still enjoying it
11:04 to be fair if they're not willing to put in the 2 min effort of searching you on twitch and finding the VOD themselves then they can't care that much about it.
The thing I adore about the FNAF SB speedrunning community is how many obscure runs people can make out of this buggy mess of a game They're all so much fun lmao Also ove your content man! Keep it up :>
My friends, sibling and I felt this run just last night. (Getting a load of jumpscares in a short amount of time.) I was streaming the game to them and my sibling and I were the ones doing the Daycare section. It felt like every two minutes they and I were goofing up and seemed to get Moon's jumpscare more then we'd like to. The ONLY reason I ended up beating that section was because Moon got stuck in the playground and was crawling in place.
tbh, just scope the place out while the lights are still on [sun won't follow inside] and then hit all of those piles when the lights are off and moon will get stuck eventually.
same thing but on the chairs, if you lead him to them he gets stuck quite easily. (he killed me right after the daycare thoug since i got up to get some orange juice)
MWAHAHAH i have the spazziest, weirdest friends on the planet, but damn can they play a game. moon didnt get stuck ONCE, though he did do some weird air walking physics-breaking glitches after we got our fourth generator- somehow my spazzy friends beat moon even though he was literally breaking the laws of physics. congrats, strange friends but then they died to chica immediately so i had to take over because i know what to so ;v;
I've got another glitch jumpscare to add to this list that I discovered a few minutes ago while messing with the debug menu... You have to cam block Moon and hope that he does it "twice"... His jumpscare usually plays out normally even after being cam blocked, but you can sometimes get a double jumpscare from him! He'll start the jumpscare at the last half of the animation then start it over again, with it ending halfway the second time around! And also with Moon, you can cam block him, retreat to the desks, wait a few seconds, then cam block him again! You'll know if you've successfully gotten his double jumpscare if the cam block decides not to work anymore!
Freddy: Gregory, what are you doing? Gregory: one second Freddy ugh... I gotta... No clip through this wall for a speedrunnnnnn- *Disappears into the Backrooms*
I love how Spiff's streams have sideplots. Like, the game is Plot A, and whatever weird shit he does on camera is Plot B. In this stream's sideplot, Spiff tries weird coffee water. I love his weird stories, too. They are a very fun addition to his streams.
Just randomly thought of this, but what if you beat the game backwards, I don't mean from ending to beginning, I literally mean backwards. For the whole game, you can't use the W or forward key, you can only walk backwards! You've played the game enough times, I'm sure you remember the patrol routes and timing by now! If you do choose to try, GL ;D Edit; like so Spiff can see, plz!
8:00 You tore your Achilles tendon TWICE? Jesus, I got tendonitis in my Achilles when I was younger, and it hurt like HELL. I can't imagine how much agony it is to actually tear it. Speaking of breaking toes, I once broke my foot doing a static lunge, then proceeded to run a third of a mile on said broken foot. Ah, high school cross country, good times.
Javy is coffee extract/concentrate, you have mix it with other stuff, like milk and sugar, and or whatever you like, and it taste pretty good if you're not into the coffee flavor but are into the caffeine the coffee has, but you can just pour a shit ton in and have a nice very good coffee taste.
17:35 "You've heard of 2-inch-punishers, get ready for whatever small shit Afton has." So the legends are true. The 1-millimeter-defeater. It has been found.
I mean, to be fair, you weren't really dumb for giving them the link to your Stream instead of the VOD. They should've specified "Link to the VOD, not your Twitch channel". Or even specified for you to literally make a VOD in which you review it, or something. Just giving you the coffee, and saying "Drink it on stream, and say what you think of it" is WAY too vague, and then requesting the link "to your stream" is also a wee bit more vague than it needs to be.
It's literally not, though? The stream is when you're live, and a VOD is just the stream after it's concluded. It's pretty obvious that they're asking for the review, not the channel that the review is going to be on.
@@anonymousapproximation8549 Yeah, I know the difference. I'm just saying that "link to the stream" that they've been talking about would, naturally, lead to AstralSpiff's Twitch channel. If they want to see the review, then they can either take his link to his Twitch channel, and watch until he reviews it, or wait for him to review it, and send them the VOD, so they can see the review. That's what I meant.
@@anonymousapproximation8549 he couldn't send the VOD until he reviewed it, so they would've had to wait like 2 weeks from when they asked for the link.
@@anonymousapproximation8549 i think he thought everyone watching knew how twitch worked. Basically you don't have a VOD link (link directly to that livestream) until AFTER you stream, this means the 2 weeks it takes for his coffee to arrive (from when they asked for the livestream) the only link he can provide is a link to his channel.
So fun fact regarding the comment about the big toe doing more than the little toes, the pinky toe is actually just as important if not more so for your balance. It's the three middle toes you can afford to lose. Semi-related note, your pinky finger accounts for half your grip strength so it's just as important as your thumb.
16:18 quite suprised to hear that its a completely normal thing to obtain several wiis through bizarre means, i got one after my step-great aunt gave me their sons one when they went to college, and i got another after an old friend dropped theirs down the stairs somehow and they just gave it to me.
Yes, indeed, the entirety of this video was very good. Every moment of it, all of which I viewed with my eyes. I especially enjoyed the part where he played the videogame very fast.
I have a new name for bald Sun. Solar Eclipse. Or just Eclipse. I figured it would work since he has Moon's hostility, but he still has Sun's color palette/outfit.
7:40 If you asked me exactly four months ago today if I had ever broken a bone, I would've told you no. Unfortunately for me, 2 days later I broke a bone in my ankle.
seeing a dangerous wild animal as a kid and asking your family if you can pet it is a true canadian experience.. im from newfoundland and when i was a little kid, my grandma and i were on a walk along the trail in my moms backyard. when we were heading back home through the trail we saw a huge bull moose and she had to cling onto me to keep me away from it because i wanted to pet him so bad.
3:05 I've not only dranken from puddles, but there was a sewer gate on my street after it had rained and my brother locked me outside. So, me being the smart little seven year old I was, walked over, crouched down, and started drinking that dirty sewer rain water like there was no tomorrow. I'm still surprised I didn't die
Ah the almost broken toe thing reminded me of a guy whos toe got crushed when he was a kid and he was drinking so much milk that the doctor was amazed how fast it healed
came back to this months later and heard the "you want some coffee?", immediately went "OH MY GOD ITS THE COFFEE VIDEO." and laughed my ass off for a good couple of minutes lmfao
I didn't really think about it when the video came out, but looking into it now, the company that gave spiff the free coffee is now the best seller of all Coffee Concentrate products on Amazon. Spiff is truly a marketing king.
When I first watched this video 7 months ago, I laughed at the coffee extract video since I don't drink coffee. I now consistently get ads for that coffee. Thanks Spiff.
free coffee sponsor, many dead runs, jumping conserves stamina, bear ransacked their camping trip, first one to break a bone out of him and his friend owes the other $20, afton has a jumpscare (kinda...)
a super nostalgic game for me is Minecraft Pocket Edition Lite, specifically playing it on the ipod touch. and PE in general was pretty great, i built my first base right in a beach and my ceiling fell in when they added sand gravity
As someone who had a caffeine overdose from drinking coffee I didn't realize was Concentrate, watching him just take a swig of the liquid was horrifying
listening to the nostaliga part of the video around 17:30 really hit hard. I have two Wii's myself. One is the family one that I grew up with and the other is one that I "stole" from the electronics section at the landfill. Better to reuse than recycle.
After rewatching this video, the bear story Spiff tells about seeing a bear just casually walking through their camp area without a care makes me think the bear for sure understands that if it shows itself to humans, it gets a free ride home and doesn't have to put energy into the walk back lol
On the topic of games and wii stuff, my family (my very large family, I have 5 siblings) has only had a few consoles technically, I vaguely remember playing a Disney game on probably the first play station when I was like 5, then around 10y ago we got a Wii and we still have it. Most of the games we had and still have are from my uncle who’s a tech guy for something and he had this thing we plug into the Wii that had tons of random games on it and I’ve no idea how that works, but for over 10 years the only games my family has had and played until we got laptops and apple stuff was on that wii. Kirby games, Mario, smash bros, legend of Zelda twilight and the sky one, random Disney stuff, the wackiest old games like this British race car game that looks like the worst simulator graphics. So much weird stuff, we still have the wii and it works. Only other console was another uncle brought his Xbox to our house for maybe two weeks and that was how we discovered Minecraft and played it the first time until we got a computer from a school
11:55 yea coffee (as in coffee with water) has a ph of about 4 or 5 (I think) so I can imagine that pure coffee would have a much more acidic taste since it isn’t being diluted by a bunch of water
