"The Fog"(1980) is a supernatural horror movie masterpiece! This atmospheric movie is one of the best horror movies of all time and the most scariest of them for sure!
My parents took me to the movie theatre to see this when I was 12. The next morning when I got up to go to school, it was foggy. I would usually take a short cut through the woods; not that morning.
I totally agree with you , I was disappointed with the remake. The 1980 movie scared the crap out of me when I saw it on Joe Bob Briggs Monstervision on TNT.
man oh man i am disappointed i am disappointed in myself for not watching this any sooner! this movie is freaking gold! don't let the trailer put you away by any chance! the most amazing thing about this movie was the soundtrack, and that added to the beautiful shots and scenery is just amazing! the nights on this actually feel menacing like you cant really walk at all without being stalked by someone or something. don't let anyone else tell you any diffrent! if you are a fan of horror and carpenter then jump on this movie as quick as possible
John Carpenter's The Fog is a cinematic masterpiece that expertly weaves a tapestry of dread and suspense. This atmospheric horror film, set in a quaint coastal town, is a chilling exploration of guilt, retribution, and the malevolent forces that can lurk just beyond the veil of sight. Carpenter's masterful direction creates a palpable sense of unease from the outset. The eerie fog, a tangible entity in itself, is a visual metaphor for the encroaching darkness that consumes the town. The film's slow-burn approach to terror is punctuated by jolting moments of violence, creating a perfect balance of tension and release. While the plot hinges on a supernatural premise, the film's true power lies in its exploration of human frailty and the consequences of past misdeeds. The characters are relatable and their vulnerabilities serve as a stark contrast to the inhuman evil that haunts them. The Fog is more than just a horror film; it's a haunting meditation on the darkness that resides within us all. It's a cinematic experience that lingers in the mind long after the credits roll, a testament to Carpenter's enduring talent as a master of suspense. In short, The Fog is a chilling masterpiece that will leave you looking over your shoulder

I just want to write that my name is Josh and i want to write that on Sunday March 12, 2023 Jamie Lee Curtis won the academy award for best supporting actress for her role in the film Everything Everywhere All at Once. clips of her winning the academy award are on youtube.
I remember making a horror movie in school and the special effects were about as good as this 😂. Id go as far as saying my acting was better especially when i became possessed by the ouija board, that should have netted me a oscar.
Someone should make a movie like this but have it be about the ghosts of the passengers and crew of the RMS Lusitania seeking revenge on Germany for their deaths during World War 1
The remake was ass. Always down for classic horror and Shout Factory is my absolute favorite label. I am severely addicted to your blu ray releases. I just can't stop buying
This has got to be one of the most frightening Horror movies ever made...the new version does not have the creepy atmosphere that the original has ...this really penetrates the dark recesses of the mind...not for the faint of heart...bwHAHAHA
100 years ago, between midnight and one, something unnatural came out of the fog..... 100 years ago, between midnight and one, something unnatural came out of the fog..... and again. 100 years ago, between midnight and one, something unnatural came out of the fog..... 100 years ago, between midnight and one, something unnatural came out of the fog..... if you didnt hear me say it, let me say it one more time. 100 years ago, between midnight and one, something unnatural came out of the fog.....
How about how the fog should have ended if someone did a funny send up of more of these horror movies like this one on RU-vid yes I would definitely watch it!👍😆😁
I like the Thing but I feel you on that. It is def overrated. Pacing of the movie is slow, makes it feel boring. But I love the effects in that movie. For 1982 it's pretty sick
