Psycho Killer is the chicken and Psycho chicken is the egg x))) Or Psycho chicken is the chicken and Psycho Killer the egg !?? Hahaha We all should listen to Psycho Killer @Old Grey Whistle Test ^^
Talking Heads recorded Psycho Killer. This is a parody by The Fools of that song. The Fools were known for their parodies. My husband and I are seeing them this Saturday night at a performing arts center in Mass.; where the original members of the group grew up.
I did my own version during Covid 19 while being home for the last 16 weeks check it out :-) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0l_2HKwJwqk.html

I grew up in ipswich a few years younger than these guys and they were the coolest. It sucked graduating in 1985 when they deserved a record deal and didn't get one. I later learned they stuck with it and got one. They should be rich rock stars with a string of platinum albums.

We followed these guys everywhere they played in Boston and beyond in the early to mid 80s they along with The Stompers were one of the hottest bands going on and the double bill at the Channel on a Friday or Saturday night was the place to be just a great time every time ✌️
I'm a french guy and I remember this song since the begining of the 80's... I was 5 years old when this song was created and diffused... It was a great job...
OMG love it :) This was the song on an E-card I sent, so it only had part of the song. Hearing the whole thing and seeing the video is a blast. Brings back a lot of memories (good and bad!) of bands just like this ;)
At my Philippines house there was one eyed chicken that was bullied by the other chickens on our land. It'd come to my window several times a day to come hang out. I'd let it in and feed it, carry it around. She'd be outside my outhouse (yea, oldschool style house) and be waiting for me, and jump on my feet for a ride. I'll miss 'er. She succumbed to being eaten sadly.
I still have a copy of the "Clucked" version. :) We used to straighten out the indoor riding school (armed with rakes), to the tune of Psycho Chicken lol. Man, those were the days.
I saw these guys last summer with the Stompers, another band that was huge in Boston in the 80s. It was a great show. Amazing they are still playing together. Brings back fun memories of the 80s, if only I could remember...
Awesome band that played at Scotch & Sounds in Brockton Ma. Also famouse for "Life Sucks then You Die" . Had the T-shirt shirt. This band sold out everywhere.
Saw them twice in the mid to late 70's. Have to tune in every now and then. This song and .... life sucks then you die. Are enough to get me through just about anything.
The Fools have some fine, fine albums...especially 1 & 2. This psycho chicken track was a free yellow 45 rpm record packed inside the Sold Out record sleeve (album 1) if I'm not mistaken. Excellent band that you all should explore.
One of my all-time party favourites. I wouldn't be surprised, if this song could lift the mood on board the Titanic!!! Of course, I am aware of the historical impossibility, but I merely meant it as a metaphore of the positive vibee in the song. Great stuff!!!!!!!!
"From Ipswich Massachuetssetts...THE FOOLS!!!" Great band to see live. And they have lots of realy cool songs that arent all paradies. Mike the singer used to shop in a store I worked in years ago and was realy cool. Very funny nice guy.
I think the video is the cutest demented one I've ever seen!! I remember the song from Dr Demento's show when I was a teenager. I just didn't realize there was a matching clip. The lead singer is cute in a weird way-- LOL! Thanx for posting!
A dj/program director at a prog/alt station in the buffalo area barricaded himself in the studio and played this for 2 days to protest a format change!!! 107.7 the bear..thise were the good ole days
Today I went for a walk and happened by a yard with about a half dozen chickens. Seemed odd in a metropolitan area. However it did bring back the memory of this song and seeing the Fools when I was in college 40 years ago. Don't remember much except this tune and that it was a great show.
