I've also met the good man and I can attest to the fact that behind his Footy Show persona, there is a generous, kind and well-spirited human being. The problem is that a lot of unenlightened people fail to see the humour, the irony and the showmanship behind his on-screen performances. Good interview.
In private, I can imagine Sam being very a very quiet, shy man who is resistant to social situations. I can tell that he only fraternises with a chosen few people he trusts.
Fuck yeah. Sam, if you ever read this comment, you are good. Good man. Him good. Smart. A rapier wit. Deep, warm and genuine. He is like a croissant - layered and buttery, and well presented in the shop front window.
I ran into Sam at the carshow in melbourne about 8 year ago I said hello Sam he was in disguise shorts polo top sunglasses and cap he was cool gave me a gdaymate I just wanted to see if he would say hello back seemed very switched on and down to earth I enjoyed watching his street talk on footy show but in real life he seemed cool as all the best sammy
