The Falcon's been heavily modified over the years, so she might've just assumed it's like any other freighter when it's actually tougher than most starfighters.

+Vladimir Alvarez My dad saw Star Wars in '77 when he was 8 years old. He also saw Empire and Jedi (In fact, he got to see Jedi a week early!) in the theaters as well. Star Wars is very sentimental to him. He introduced me to Star Wars when I was 2 years old, and I have been a Star Wars fan my whole life. Star Wars is something special my dad and I share, and we can both agree that Star Wars is our favorite movie/movie franchise. We saw TFA at 5:00 AM on opening day in IMAX 3D together too!

my favorite scene was Chewie getting Finn & Rey from StarKiller. That was just an iconic scene Chewie carrying Finn aboard the Falcon. It felt very original trilogy then..

The falcon is female because of L3-37, she became the falcon.

In the Han Solo novel trilogy, it was explained that both top and bottom turrets have a full 360 degree rotation capable of covering the forward, sides and aft top areas as well as forward, sides and aft bottom areas of the ship. However, the location of the turrets and the field of fire from the cannons caused an area of vulnerability that wrapped along the Falcon's mid section. This unprotected section was called "The money lane" by Solo. Also consider that since the Falcon was crewed by just only Han and Chewie.one of them had to be maneuvering the ship to keep the active turret on the adversaries during a dogfight while the other had to man that particular cannon. Should a malfunction arise they would have to go the other turret. As spectacular as Rey's maneuver was, I think it eye candy for the Millennium Falcon fans.

the Falcon didnt always have its shield up. There were many times it was taken down. So my point still stands it was a sturdy ass ship with a magnificent design
