I was hoping you would offer more info on why the Bronco was so bad. I had an Ecoboost Escape that I drove to 200k miles and it never failed. You didn’t make a case against that. If it handled badly, it could be a one-off. I guess you needed a good headline
your assesment of the bronco disagrees with all those other testors o n you tube the jeep is the one that is all over the road not smooth at all .i have repaired many a jeep professionally and also own a new bronco it is also very capable off road.
@@derekkeeler8946 the Jeep is an ancient platform the Bronco is a brand new ground up vehicle and they are very squirrely with big tires. And let's set aside the fact that I work at a Ford dealership on that junk all day long
Watch the crash test with the new bronco..it folds up like an aluminum can…Jeep fairs much better in the same test…the handling issues are I’m sure related to lift and tire choice
You definitely got a unicorn. If you look at the ratings of that car and the frequency of repair and the class action lawsuits for the ecoboost engine you will see
I purchased a 2023 2 door bronco (black diamond ). Special ordered with the manual transmission and bare bones on interior options. I like it a lot more than i ever thought I would.
The 2.7 is a very good engine. Its one of the only Ecoboost engines that was designed from the ground up to be turbocharged. Its block is made with the same materials and architecture as the power stroke engines with forged i beam connecting rods. There are an extremely low amount of reported problems with this engine in the F150s.
Except for the belt driven oil pump. Same for the 5.0 V8. The fact that Ford would put a belt in oil driving an oil pump is enough for me to pass on it.
Congratulations on 400k! The first video I think I ever watched was the video where you gave that van to your uncle and boy have you came a long way. It sucks that a bunch of the cars are probably totaled before we even got to see them but I suppose it could be a good thing as it frees up some room and money. Also I really like the Charger.
I think I've been watching him since he had the Black Cruze and C6, waaaay before the blue classic car incident with WeirdBeard. He had like 150k back then
The reason the engine bay looks like a rat's nest is because they moved all the wiring up high to aid in water fording depth. Although it looks nasty, it really helps to have all those sensor connectors high, dry, and easy to reach.
I have owned a four door Bronco for a year now. Love it. Never noticed wind giving me any problems? Not fast enough? What, it’s made for off-road. If anyone is interested in a Bronco look at all the content available.
I love watching these videos it helps to know what to look for while shopping for used cars. I wonder how many people go shopping and follow these same steps after watching the videos. Important window works, less important window works haha
That's really sad to hear about your cars Randy. The Escalade is really high mileage but it looks not bad. The Bronco is cool but the Charger is definitely the one I would go with here. Keep up the great videos!👍
I have a 2022 Bronco Wildtrak and love it. They are not junk, if you are saying Broncos are junk then Jeeps are Junk also and any other vehicle. The do have issues like most new vehicles.
I had a 2018 Ford Fusion Sport with the 2.7 eco boost. The day before the warranty expired, I found a broken vacuum line. If I had to pay for it out of pocket it would have been easily 1000 bucks for the part and labor. I saw the writing on the wall with the complexities of that engine, got it fixed and sold it at the height of the used car boom for 3 grand less than I paid for it.
@@MrSilence99 the line was attached to some large plastic air tubing. The whole thing had to be replaced. It added up to around a grand according to them if it was out of warranty. The dealership had to order the part twice because each time it arrived, it was broken in the same spot.
@@ksaboda oh I think I know what you are referring to. That snapped off on my friends Taurus too. But we just changed it ourselves and it cost like $80.
Hey Randy, Kudos! kudos! Kudos! I see you just hit 400,000 subscribers! Congratulations Randy! You’re absolutely hands-down, the best automotive channel on RU-vid. I don’t understand why you don’t have more than 5 million subscribers!
I deliver cars for extra retirement income. I took a new Bronco WildTrak Edition,($65,000.00) from Northeast Ohio to Northern New Jersey last week. Brought back a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition. Stepping out of the Bronco and directly into the Jeep, the difference was night and day. In my opinion, you can't judge a Bronco or a Wrangler if they're two doors. Those vehicles as two doors go down the road bouncing like baby buggies with that short suspension.
The charger seemed like the best bet rhere. Looked like a solid car you could have fun in, get in trouble in,, and still make a decent profit on the other side.
Ford Bronco- Rough ride and bad handling is probably contributed to the big tires and the independent suspension. They don’t keep alignment well with the front suspension
Congratulations on 400k! I would maybe get the charger, but the escalade seemed nice until the clunking happend.. (I'm so sorry about the hail storm 😢)
Randy, Sorry to hear about your cars. And if I had to choose between the Escalade and the Charger I would pick the Charger. I feel the Charger would probably get better gas mileage than the Escalade.
You finally hit 400K! Congratulations! I know the horses are out of the corral in regard to the hail damage but, how about putting Harbor Freight packing blankets on each car, hood, trunk and roof, and cover them with tarps? Much cheaper than even one car getting damaged. 7:12, 21:00 How about looking at that shuttle bus and talk about making it into a camper? I did! Used it for the beach and skiing. It's been there forever so it should go cheap. Mobil office? Put a tow hitch on it and haul a car to a show and camp in it? Just the right size! One my 2002 Sierra I had that clunk in the rear end and my mechanic said that was typical and not an issue. It never was for me right up to 407K when I sold it. Yes, someone actually bought it! It was a great truck. I towed cars with it and it never faltered. What about DOD in that truck? The Charger. You might want to leave the windows down so it can air out and just tell them. Clean engine compartment. Looks like it may be just rear wheel drive. The Cadillac. Didn't they have DOD and Flex fuel on all the trucks after 2007? That would make for a nice Signature, AAR, company car. Top, top, top of the line! Wheel baring up front?
In your last video you mentioned Carvana and the Red Tesla. You never released the video showing all the issues you and Santa's Workshop found with that particular Tesla. Whats up with that?? Don't leave us hanging like JR would...
They look alright…I’ve already seriously inquired about the the new Toyota Land Cruiser for 2024…I prefer something reliable. I’m getting a 4 door though. I already have the 2021 TRD PRO 4Runner I use for work so the Land Cruiser will be my baby.
The Charger will be an easy sell after you are finished driving it and as we know know it needs nothing The Escalade needs work also that clunking noise and it might take a while to sell it depending on what you can get it for also I am on the fence with the Chevy it has that noise and the trans fluid looks like oil like you said.
I own a 4dr Sasquatch Bronco Badlands, I sold my JK Unlimited. I love it and I completely disagree with you, except with the start/stop and the engine. - Just Sayin...
i drove one for over 40 hours and heres what i didnt like, the window switches ,the ac controls was super dark to see, and the power , and the fuel range was horrible i think i got no more than 300ish miles to a tank, but it did have some cool features when i remember ill post it ha!
Great seeing you hit 400K subscribers Randy! I think the best of the bunch today was the Charger, I'd consider getting it to Maaco for a nice fresh bright red paint. I have thought about you living in an area prone to hail, how much would it cost to put up another garage, this one for parking the best of your cars? I know it would be a chunk, but it would only increase the value of your property while decreasing that high insurance cost you carry. Ever thought about that? I'm sure you have. It's just so sickening to hear that you lost so many good cars.
Yep, a small displacement, twin-turbo, dual injected,v-6 with VVT is not going to look like your Dad’s V-8. What’s nice about it is that from a technical perspective, Ford already did every performance Mod you could make. The problem is people don’t know how to take care of them, and can’t find people qualified to do it for them. But hey, go ahead and do the next guy some favors by flooring it for the views.
I would like the dodge rt for the fun of the drive, but for practical reasons I would go for the silverado I like a good looking truck but I also like fast and loud too, thank's for another great video and there great to watch.
This is the first video of yours that I've watched. The fact that within the first 7 minutes you said that the Jeep Wrangler drives better than the Bronco tells me I don't need to watch any more of your videos. The Bronco is a very good daily driver that is SO FAR superior to Jeep in that aspect that your comment makes no sense. Bronco SURELY has it's issues, but drivability is not one of them.
The way the white pickup started it sounds like a bad battery. On my company trucks when the battery is weak they will trip check engine codes when you try to start it. Good looking truck though!
I've never seen worse engine packaging. The vehicle had so many gadgets that make it very capable but in the long term there are so many things that can go bad. Just price out one of those screens. On some vehicles they're shockingly expensive to replace.
the only Bronco thats even close to be worth buying in the 4 door NA-V6, that clunk from the front end of the Escalade is most likely an engine mount, front diff bush or front drive shaft coupler. PS; congrats on the 400k 😎🥳
@@MrDmac423 yea i realized that just after i posted i just i couldnt be stuffed to go back and edit it, but the Bronco should have the option of a 4ltr six heck even the 3.5 NA should be an option!
I completely flush the brake fluid every four years in my cars. Flush the coolant every 60,000 miles and same for the transmission fluid if not sooner.
that under hood experience.. same as on a range rover classic ( those 69-96) esp in the 80s. they were known for this under the hood experience. google it. nice to see ford is trying to outdo them. no that is not a good thing
The first one they made back in the day were rust buckets and had real problems. Too soon to tell, but I would bet these will turn out to be junk also.
Randy I think that you should get the Chevy truck I think that would be very good for you because it has a winch on it and you can get your self out of trouble and it looks very nice to you can forget the Escalade it is not worth it for sure and the Doge is a nice car and it will be very good content for your videos Charlie kretschmar Phoenix Arizona
Bronco is not built for speed. It's for 4x4 mountain climbing. A highly capable off-roader that makes minimal sacrifices to on-road drivability. Downsides include fuel economy, wind noise, braking distances and some cheap-looking interior materials. Otherwise the Bronco is enjoyable to drive and easy to live with.
Anyone that can afford one of these has a descent job and drives on the road to and from work every day, not off roading like a dumb 20yr old. So who cares how good it is off road if it's junk on the road. Would be a stupid purchase.
The people that praise the Bronco or the people that have tried to justify the $50,000 plus price tag that they paid and sometimes 10K over sticker, but most people that come to our service Drive have regret for their choice because it's just not a good daily driver
@@ChaoticDave69 I see it on a daily basis and the multiple recalls in the dissatisfaction and you want to tell me I'm wrong? Are u a god believer or trump supporter? Because there's a thing called reality and there's an alternate reality which evidently you live in or must have been sucker enough to buy one
To call the bronco junk bc of that is too much. You could of said it's scary driving not junk. Congrats on 400k. Wow this channel is growing fast next year I bet you will get 1 million subscribers. I'm soon sorry about the cars. 70k worth of cars gone I'm so sorry Randy
