You can open a Ranger with a similar technique... Locked my keys and the truck's keys in the shop go-for truck, truck was bare bones with the manual post style door locks and we opened it with the antenna.
You locked the doors with the keypad, why not unlock'em with the keypad? (If you don't know the factory code, in 2011 SD it should be on a sticker on the fuse box in the passenger kick panel)
That definitely made me sick to see that nice truck get the box torn apart like that from a tire. A friend of mine had the whole side of the box on his Chevy 1 ton 4x4 torn off from while towing his 5th wheel on the freeway. Those big tires can really do some damage when they come apart.
That's what happens when you spin oversized A/T mud tires way, way faster than they were ever meant to. I felt bad for the truck, not so much for the idiot who ruined it. That's a LOT of weight in the tread when it blows apart, he's lucky no one got hurt coz I've seen those tear frames apart
I follow Junkyard Digs, Dylan, Vicegrip, and more. Seems like you and Pacific Northwest Hillbilly are two of the few that actually want to finish projects. Thank you.
Thank you. We try. Also try to show that it isn't easy, and it takes a long time and effort. But, we pass the discounts we get on to builder members to help as much as we can to get guys motivated.
I think one of the best shots I've ever seen you do was 37:41 when all the pieces are coming out and then the engine comes out the door haha. Rich and Aaron you guys are on point👍
Ho6ly shit missed that the first go around. Now I'm pissing myself laughing. Thanks guys for all you do. Aaron and Rich I've been a long time fan from Vancouver Island and will continue to be for many years to come hopefully!!!
Good luck to buddy finding another decent box for it. This is why some guys choices for burn-out vehicles don't make sense. That's definitely a life-reevaluating moment
I'm at 23:39 in the green shirt. It was great meeting you! Thanks for the photo and for signing my cup. Always get people to laugh when I ask them to sign it. Keep up the great work and awesome videos!
Oh that Ford was a nice Truck before exploding 35 wrote it off lol Jeez that popped.. luv the whole feel of this vid start to finish!! All the best and thank you
I am LOVING all this Obs ford stuff man! It's great seeing you get into them neck deep. Gives me the confidence to tackle bigger jobs on mine! Keeper rollin' Rich! :D
I have to give DeBoss props...Your List of music that you have on your Tubez channel is top shelf...I follow Ford Era...that was the most epic burnout EVER
Pro tip, when you break, do it on an off ramp. It is considered the highway still and deemed high risk so high priority. Took less than an hour to get a tow at midnight
i have no idea how many years ive been around you guys anymore, i can only remember it was with a 4BT tahoe and everything to look out for when buying a 5.9 12v.... dang it has been a fun ride! im in to never get off now!
Man, Aaron has a bright future. He is possibly the finest videographer and editor to be found on this platform. These videos have such amazing quality in every aspect it's a pleasure to watch regardless of the content. That being said, the content is pretty awesome as well. Always a podium finish. Thanks!
Well if he knew the code you can just unlock it anyway. Cool thing you can leave it running and lock the truck and get back in with the door code. When you input the code and repeat the last number it unlocks all 4 doors instead of just the driver door too.
Back when I was a cop we were driving the 95 Chevy Caprices, and locked the keys in a few times. Used the exact same trick with the antenna to hit the unlock button, worked like a charm! Much better than having to call the Staff Sgt to bring the spare keys!😂
Recently got a 1990 with the 351w with only 88 k with intact interior. I already put 4k driving back home and hunting for parts, everywhere you go people want to talk about your car. I recently got the tranny and the whole dana 44 front to replace the bad parts on mine. Owner of the shop wanted to buy it from me, because his son wants one. At the end he just told me keep it stock, fix the mechanics but don't do anything to it other than a paint job. This video only make sense after that, the feeling you get when you share the love for a machine is unlike others.
17:45 that’s how I used to get in my e-150 when I locked the keys in, ford provides everything you need. After too many times I stripped out the antenna mount and you could no longer unscrew the antenna. Had to be extra careful after that.
I'm going with detonation damage, very possibly started from fuel starvation/clogged filters and it just took that long to spiral down. 🤔 not much keeping people from getting in most every vehicle on the market, then to top it off, many are still easily stolen, with minimal interior damage (or none).
Lots of great footage, install the seats by a dumpster, break the seats in on the road, get an hour from home and lunch the juice box powerplant!! great videos every time!!
Ive polished honed and slapped 302s together in basements and garages. Some are still on the road years later. Hell i used emery cloth and a drill to do a valve job once. Great comp after rebuild. They r ez to fix and rebuild.
It's not always the sending unit for Fords, they also have a small circuit board in the back of the instrument panel that is an anti-slosh feature. Couple of $2 chips that will cost you $150 on from eBay pirates or $5 at the local junkyard.
I can relate to so many things in this video. I locked myself out of my old rig, a International ProStar, and used the antenna to unlock it. My old 88 F150 had the same dif issues. Another great video.
You can be in a Prostar in less than 30 seconds with nothing more than a pocket screwdriver. When I worked for an International leasing shop, I made road calls all the time for guys locking themselves out.
I’ve done the antenna trick too many times to count. My favorite was a 95 f150 the speedo didn’t work but it was a manual with a tach so I knew how fast I was going. But the antenna had a nice curve to it from unlocking the truck that just happened to be laid back when tight. When people asked how I knew my speed I’d tell them I judge it by the bend in the antenna. They’d look at it see it almost touching the cab, look back at me and I’d say we’re screamin!
Love your content been following you a while now If you get bored of juicebox, box her up in a container and send to England I’ll give her a good home I wish 😂 keep up the content
Stick a mildly built 300 six in there. With an Offy intake you can run the same injection setup. It won't make the power of a Coyote swap, but it will have the character of a Cummins and you will love it.
Haha so funny Ford found on road dead biggest pieces of shit although all cars can leave you on the side of the road I have been left on the side of the road more times in a Ford than any other single vehicle I've ever driven for the last 15 years
I really enjoyed the video ..Unlucky guy who had his tire Pop ending on the rim...poor Juice Box died ..Be more than happy to see you put in the Coyote and get it up and running again 😃
"When you drive a Ford, nothing ever goes according to plan." Nice Ford slam in the intro section! It's always a good idea to troll the Ford fans early to give them plenty of time to flame you in the comments. That 302 sounded like a diesel after you blew it. Tow truck driver says "typical Ford" in such a matter of fact way. Priceless.
That cracked block remined me of a truck we had on the farm for a few years growing up. Dad bought a mostly worn out 74 Chevy half ton 4WD for a farm truck. We beat the tar out of it for a while, but when it came harvest time, we couldn't figure why it seemed so down on power when we hauled loaded grain wagons to the local grain elevator. I mean we're talking having to use lo range and put the trans in 1st gear to pull the hills near our farm. Dad finally took it to a local mechanic, turns out it had a cracked block the whole time. just luck i guess that it wasn't cracked in the cooling jacket. Put in a salvage yard 350 and drove it several more years. Finally sold it for scrap price to a local young kid that completely rebuilt the truck. Probably still on the road today.
I had a 95 F150 5spd 4x4 extended cab with a 302. It was a real beast in 4low off road. But I had a camper shell on the back that would stick up taller than the cab, and I would also pull trailers; So by the end of it's life, it was so gutless that I couldn't pull a trailer over 60mph on the highway. It did make it to 320k miles before it spun a bearing, never having any issues-- and even with the rod knocking, it still drove me home. So I've really grown to love the little 302's. But after that I bought a 2002 F350 7.3L 6spd 4x4, and I'm never going back. lol.. Diesel is the only way to go for a real work truck. I have 340k miles on my 7.3L and it's still a great truck and going strong.
Too bad about the old 302. I made that same mistake about 25 years ago on one of my first rebuilds. I got out of the throttle when it blew so I was able to limp home about 500 km. It used 4 liters of oil in the last 100 km. When I got home my neighbor was frantically ringing the doorbell. I went back outside and everything forward of the windshield was ablaze!
@@DEBOSSGARAGE not saying you did , is just the fact TMI gets soooo much free advertising from clients like you and I and yet they can get behind the 8 ball , my buddy purchase and entire kit for his 67 mustang and they yet to send him the remaining foam pieces for the front seats …
Holy crap, Ive never seen a tire blowout take off the the whole side of a truck. That has me paranoid about burnouts now. Well done by that guy keeping his spirits up and having a good attitude after that happened.
The best epic tire shred explosion I've ever seen, it buckled the cab corner, the flying bed floor pan flew up, kinked the roof and almost took out the sliding back window. The top lip on the box was even turned inside out. This video derseves two big bags of chips, a movie sized chocolate bar and a 2 liter of coke. Rich, now's a good time as any bro to consider a full frame off and do a full moderate restoration and detail of the juice box, it might need a lick of paint but the body is mint. Give it the same clean factory look as the F350, I'd really look forward to and enjoy a video series over the winter on that, I hope you give it some thought
I can help Scott with the sunroof, I have been installing and serving sunroofs for 20 years. It's probably a webasto roof and I get parts directly from webasto and other oem manufacturers.
🤭😵🤔 FORD ( FIX OR REPAIR DAILY ) The old gal gave you a LOT more than a GM would have for the LONG HAUL in past experience. AWESOME VIDEO, the poor guy with the BLOW-OUT "been there - done that, only NOT quite the demolition BUT crying BAD!! KEEP the videos coming. BE SAFE, KEEP WARM, GOD BLESS 💪👍 😍😍😍😍😍
I’ve been working on Fords all day, lol! Tuned a down draft carburetor on a ‘49 F-1 with a 226 Flathead six. Then I replaced a power window on a ‘48 F-1, because it cracked. It was installed incorrectly by the previous owner. Also the fact that it is power means the switches were right where I needed to put my bracket. Great…
great video. the bronco will be real great with a coyote in it. as for the mustang that bodystyle is my favorite by far. will be a real great build once done
What a great episode…. Little bit of everything…. To prove I watched it in great detail I’ll Point out the edit error when you pull drain plug from motor and talk about the 2 threads in triton spark plugs, it says it twice 😮
i thought that keypad was in case you locked the keys in, anyways glad to see that guy was ok, great example of why tire safety is not something to screw around with
Neat stuff. Enjoyed watching. Looking forward to seeing the Coyote install. That guy from Ford Era must have had the tires aired up pretty good for the tire to blow that truck up like that 😳 goodness that was horrible.
What a hoot! 👍 so much fun, thanks for sharing 👍 Are you sure the coyote engine is a done deal? Do you have some wiggle room in your mind? The V.W. Touareg V-6 diesel is super quiet ( l know that was one of your concerns) Three hundred plus H.P. and gobs of torque, like 450?. Just because you had so much fun with the CAT transplant. Crazy, l know. But a quiet diesel? Hmmm... 😉 Thanks again. ♥️ your builds. 👍✌🏻🤘🌤 🇨🇦.
Rich I agree with you about the trition spark plugs and yet .....I'm still driving a SOHC 5.4 e150 with 325000km and pulling a 9000 pound RV , they say if they are torqued correctly........should I be worried ??? 😄 lol keep on getting dirty
