Wowww I came here to see if it was noticed. I love the Kendrick brothers movie but perhaps they missed the mark with this one. While there are absent fathers, there are also a lot of black fathers that are present for their kids.I disliked the depiction of the absent father and single mother. When they had an all black cast lead last time the black couple had a bad marriage and now black leads and the black mom is a single parent. Please depict black folks in positive light rather than stereotypical ones

Haven't watched the entire movie, truth is women are being empowered(bravo to that) but some have misused the empowerment by disrespecting their husbands.. or putting less effort to make things work..(not all)..with the atitude " if u dnt want leave , ican take care of my kids..that me wandering away alitle ..these movies alesson and am grateful to those who write, fund and produce them...let the issues of absent fathers be addressed..am sure they have reasons as to why they be absent..how can they be helped? The devil is fighting marriages he therefore starts with the head of it.both sides shd be considered and a solution be offered

Their movie "Courageous" has strong fathers of different races.

As someone commented before, the movie courageous shows a strong black father. In War Room, the friend of the husband was a black man of integrity. If we are going to keep it all the way real, the percentage of single mothers in our community is heartbreaking & the results - as a whole - are not good. It is an ugly reality that this story can minister to because too many single moms in the blk community, too often, is allowing hip hop, ball players, social media, peers, etc to raise/ influence their children. The stats speak for themselves. We need to be intentional about praying for our kids. Intentional about taking them to church to sit under/ mentor by strong Godly men. Intentional in saying, meaning & demonstrating "as for me & my house we WILL serve the Lord". Intentional at connecting them with Holy Spirit filled men that will guide them. Thank God we have a movie that hits on the fact that God can & will hear the cry of the single mom. God will move heaven & earth to see about the cries of children & STILL moves on their behalf for this glory! There is hope!

You haven't seen the movie, so how can you make speculations from the preview. In War Room, this woman was fighting for her marriage. She was instructed how to stand on the word of God and prayer to reclaim her family. There are single mothers who need to be encouraged spiritually. You speak against the Kendrick Brothers, but what about the people of our color that don't depicted positive images of black males or females. The end of these movies lead Jesus, his deliverance, his salvation - this is what is important!
