ALL, I just wanted to add that other makes such as Paccar, Volvo, CAT, etc., have these filters as well. Cummins recommends recommends replacement of the crankcase filter every 1500 hours or annually, but keep in mind that this is for a new engine. As your engine wears, and produces more "blow by" this filter will sludge up faster. This crankcase gas is recirculated through your intake and burnt in the engine, a nasty filter can case fuel economy decline and other issues, that is why I change mine frequently. Also, I believe I said the torque on the cover was 15 inch lbs, it is actually 45 inch lbs, so please check on you individual cover for those specs. Thanks for watching!

Hey Ryan. I have the same engine. I’ve switched to Crankcase Ventilation (aka maintenance free) Part number 3691476 Cummins gives Lifetime, but I’m replacing mine every 6 oil changes.

Just cut the filter media out and run the plastic plate. If your engine is in good condition, you're not going to have a lot of oily blowby. The filter is just more dumb shit ca had put on.

Dealer sale a bypass crankcase filter taht you dont have to change it any more, is just like that one but only plastic,

I wouldn’t do it. I change my crankcase filter every 4 to 5 oil changes at 12 k to 15 k intervals

How can i tell the difference between the screw on oil filter from the screw on fuel filter on the isx? Can you please do a video on those filters and how to locate the egr valve. Thanks.

Your oil filter is longer than the fuel filter and is located on the passenger side, the fuel filters are on the driver's side. I'm out on the road now, as soon as I'm at a quiet location, I plan to do a video on my truck and some familiarization. Thanks for the question!

If u can clean the filter up around it says FF which stands for fuel filter and LF stands for lube filter don’t get it mistaken power steering it also says FL but is at the top and line goes ti steering fluid reservoir.

What is that black wire that looked like It's new behind the big filter that's on the right side of the truck. I went and got an oil change and they broke that one all to hell I had to force it in to get it plugged. I noticed it when I went to get my def changed out. I am wondering if that is the reason why I got a CSR code in the truck

They make a bypass crank case filter for the ISX Cummins you can order from Amazon. Just ordered one.. it’s about 120 bucks. I’ll let you know how effective it is.

It's been a while since you asked, but if you haven't found it yet, the Fleetgard coolant filter is WF2127. Luberfiner just adds an L in front.

I don't really think it is a good idea to delete dpf, because you will have a hard time to find a shop to work on your truck. I have never tried it. You might have excessive oil blow by tube.

I change my coolant filter yearly, with a flush, crank case filter 2x yr, and another little talked about, the def filter yearly, as well as a yearly air dryer filter. Tranny filter?
