As Jim’s final project, MuppetVision should be a permanent fixture. It was made with Disney World in mind, so I’m glad it’s still there and will make sure to go every time I’m there, without fail.
@@FM7Studios I think the next video you should do is the Easter eggs/tribute for E.T. Adventure at Universal Studios Hollywood which is now Revenge of the Mummy or Easter eggs to old attractions at Universal Studios Hollywood
What was also so disappointing about Philharmagic replacing muppets, was that they gave it a completely new entrance facing the Hollywoodland entrance, so the theater gets so much more packed now. Every time my family took people to muppet vision they’d say “I didn’t even know this was over here!”, which just shows you they really needed that entrance sign. With the resurgence of the muppets fandom online lately I wish they’d just put it back. I just think they didn’t give it a fair chance competing with frozen, when in 2014 there was literally A NEW muppet movie. They could’ve done more
I've been a WDW person all my life and I just went to Disneyland. It was so strange walking into philharmagic and instantly recognizing the Muppet*Vision theater
@@FM7Studios But I have to admit I really am sad that the only Muppet*Vision 3D left is the one at Disney's Hollywood Studios (Originally Disney's/MGM Studios).
@@FM7Studios I hope one day some of the Props from DCA's Muppet Vision 3-D will appear at another Disneyland Auction/exhibit which they haven't done yet
Henson's family made out like bandits when disney bought the muppets from them. And now theyre just stored away as if they never existed. Any muppets merch in the parks barely sells at all abd gets discounted or shipped off to ny local disney outlet
Every visy I would made at DCA the muppet vision 3D show would always be the first and last ride of the day me and my family love it i hope one day DIsney would bring it back. It would be cool if Disney did a muppet nite event at DCA maybe bring the muppet 3D for the event.
Xccemoran your right Disneyland has no Muppets attraction and Even though Muppet Vision 3-D is gone I think they should retheme the Paradise Gardens area with The Muppets The Little Mermaid attraction will stay because that is a great ride and I love it but the other attractions near it would close the Golden Zeppelins will be rethemed to Pigs in Space from The Muppet Show, Jumpin Jellyfish will be Themed to Hot airballoons themed to Kermit the Frog taken from The Great Muppet Caper, Goofy's Sky School will be Rethemed to The Great Gonzo's StuntMadness and instead of a Airplanes guests will ride on the Plunger car from the Muppet Movie and the attraction takes place in The Great Gonzo's StuntShow Madness and for his 3rd act he invited you the guests on his Plunger Car the beginning of the ride you see Gonzo in his cannon being launched in the sky and then your car jumps though a Fire hoop (Which is not a fire Hoop it's just a hoop painted orange but it glows in the Dark at Night), a circular Saw, and at the end you see Gonzo on his Motorcycle in a slingshow and at the end he crashing himself and the motorcycle on the Stunt show Building and you see his cutout and his Motorcycle on the Building which is a tribute Muppet Vision 3-D and then at the end you unload from the vehicle and exit safety. The pizza place near by will be rethemed to PizzaRizzo from Disney World, and lastly The Silly Symphony Swings will be rethemed to the Electric Mayhem and will be titled The Eletric Mayhem: RockSwings
Also the big Giant curtains and pillars were added with frozen, to hide tje miss piggy statues above and possibly the mupprt vision sculpture at the top of the theater. The preshow room still shows the raptures above where all muppet props used to be
Thank goodness MuppetVision 3D is still running at Disney's Hollywood Studios and that it just got a minor refurb. Before you enter the building on Grand Avenue, ask the castmember if you can peek into the ticket booth to your right, where you'll spot a risqué pinup poster of Miss Piggy.
I’m surprised Disney hasn’t sold off the Muppets back to the Jim Henson Company since they aren’t doing anything that much with them these days, like how WB is treating the Looney Tunes these days.
So true I agree with u, I feel like Disney should do something with the muppet, cause I know there a big group of muppet fan I remember when DL did there first Christmas party in 2021 n they had the muppet Christmas show I would see lots of muppet fans n they would stay for every showing of the muppet Christmas show. I do hope Disney could do an muppet nite that would be awesome.
Why is Disney seemingly trying to erase the Muppet connections? Muppet Vision 3D was one of the coolest things and never felt dated or irrelevant. Frozen will pass. Mickey's Philharmonic is definitely more of a Disneyworld vibe. Bring back Muppet Vision already!
This is fantastic. I think I only went on Muppet Vision once or twice. DCA isn't somewhere I usually go at Disneyland, but we'll be going soon, so this'll be fun to point out
They should make the mostly abandoned Hollywood backlot area of dca into a muppet mini land. I don’t know why Disney is just leaving that area to rot empty
I watch Muppetvision 3D at Studios every time I go as many times as I can. I was a huge Muppets fan growing up and remain a huge Muppets fan. I would be very sad if they ever remove the show from Studios.
@FM7Studios I have been watching your channel since for many years now. I remember when you used to post your “top 5 facts” about certain attractions and the time you were at California Adventure when mission breakout was being tested. Keep making videos! We love your stuff!
Hopefully when Disneyland has its expansion they can build a another 3D theater for Mickeys Philharmagic and bring back Muppets Vision 3D, I hope, I miss it so much
I can confirm that yes gonzos silhouette is still there. There was a period before filharmagic was installed that you can see the damage gonzo caused with the Harvey removed. One thing not mentioned in the video is that if you look up in the waiting area you can see the old cat walk (boards?) that held various props and tvs that were used for the pre show

Oh my god I can't wait for this video I miss this attraction so much thanks for making this video dude I hope you got all of the info I sended you for this video and I know this is a controversial opinion but I think closing down Muppet Vision 3-D was a big mistake because Disneyland has no Muppets attraction and Even though Muppet Vision 3-D is gone I think they should retheme the Paradise Gardens area with The Muppets The Little Mermaid attraction will stay because that is a great ride and I love it but the other attractions near it would close the Golden Zeppelins will be rethemed to Pigs in Space from The Muppet Show, Jumpin Jellyfish will be Themed to Hot airballoons themed to Kermit the Frog taken from The Great Muppet Caper, Goofy's Sky School will be Rethemed to The Great Gonzo's StuntMadness and instead of a Airplanes guests will ride on the Plunger car from the Muppet Movie and the attraction takes place in Gonzo The Great StuntShow and for his 3rd act he invited you the guests on his Plunger Car the beginning of the ride you see Gonzo in his cannon being launched in the sky and then your car jumps though a Fire hoop (Which is not a fire Hoop it's just a hoop painted orange but it glows in the Dark at Night), a circular Saw, and at the end you see Gonzo on his Motorcycle in a slingshow and at the end he crashing himself and the motorcycle on the Stunt show Building and you see his cutout and his Motorcycle on the Building which is a tribute Muppet Vision 3-D and then at the end you unload from the vehicle and exit safety. I have, and I hope Disney tries to make it available on DVD or Disney+ if they get rid of the attraction, because it would be a disgrace to Jim Henson if his last masterpiece was put in storage for who knows how long!
Great. Captain EO, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, It's Tough to be a Bug, and Muppet Vision are absent in the California parks. I understand not being able to bring back It's Tough to be a Bug, but they have two theaters not being put to use and I would imagine they would be operating for the summer at least as a place to rest somewhere cool.
I got to see Muppetvision 3D way back in 2012 and I loved it, it definitely felt a bit dated in parts by then but it was still a good time, I wasn't really a Muppet fan at the time but it definitely sparked interest and now it's one of my favorite IPs.
The only animatronics that are still inside the building are a few penguins below the stage. The rest of them were pulled out and shipped to Florida to use as spares in case anything happens to the current ones in use.
i always loved Muppet Vision 3D as a child, i may never see it in person again as Disney's Hollywood Studios just doesn't have much to offer anymore and i've been going to Universal full time as of lately. although knowing Disney's history with the Muppets, it wouldn't surprise me if Disney closes Muppet Vision at Hollywood Studios in the near future
In Disneyland Resort, we've got Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Marvel attractions, with Avatar on the way. Right now, the Muppets seem to be the only IP that was bought by Disney to not be in there right now. ☹️
Bring back Muppets 3D (or new updated version) to the _Magic Eye Theater._ That has been empty for years, what a waste of space. Last thing I remember seeing there was *'Honey, I Shrunk The Audience'* (not to mention the best show in there ever, Captain EO). BTW will we ever get something back in the _Magic Eye Theater,_ time will tell (we are still holding our breathe for the new Tomorrowland, hahahahaha)
Wait but I went to Dinsey less than a month ago and the Muppet 3D theater was open and it was exactly as it has always been, I don't understand, it even had the live performers
Controversial take here Muppet Vision 3D is also very, very dated by today’s standards. It’s a relic of a bygone era with older Disney and Jim Henson when he still had control over the muppets. Also the dated 3D gimmick of the 80’s. While the muppets are classic and I was always surprised at how many tourists ate up Muppet Vision 3D whenever I went(especially Japanese tourists loved it). However I wonder how much longer it’ll be around for, with it being sandwiched between Star Tours and Galaxy’s edge I had wondered if eventually Muppets would be gone in favor of expanding Star Wars. Considering the Muppets inconsistency over the last few decades struggling to be really relevant and Disney not doing too much with the brand, It’s kind of amazing Muppet Vision 3D has stood the test of time. Maybe it’ll be around forever, or maybe Disney will do something for Hollywood Studios in the future, who knows.
