The forgotten slaves-1400 years of Muslim enslavment 3 

I love how there are so many people that are in denial and don't want to admit Arab, Turkish and Persian enslavement of Black-Africans and their descendants happened for 1,400 years in Arab lands, Turkey, Persia, and the Indian subcontinent and is still happening in Mauritania, Sudan, the Sinai, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar and Iraq. To those that denied this happened and still is happening in atleast the Arab countries I named: Please look up Afro-Arabs, Afro-Turks, Afro-Iranians, and the Siddis of Pakistan and India. There tons of racism against Afro-Arabs by Olive-skinned Arabs in Yemen, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Morocco, the Palestinian territories (East Jerusalem/West Bank/Gaza), Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Israel.

In the seventeenth century, North African slavers - the 'Barbary Corsairs' - enslaved large numbers of white Europeans, sometimes carrying off entire villages from Ireland and West of England - Africans enslaving Europeans! (See the book, White Gold, by Giles Milton.) None of which lessens the atrocity of the African slave trade, with something like 7 or 8 million black Africans transported to America. But it is crucial for those of African descent to understand that slavery is not something that only Africans have suffered. It has been a universal evil. Only in the 18th and 19th centuries did the British, primarily, begin to oppose the slave trade. During the American War of Independence, many black Americans fought FOR the British, AGAINST American Independence, on this account. Eventually slavery was diminished and finally stopped altogether. Or was it? If slavery continues to exist anywhere in the world, alas, it continues in Africa. In Mauretania, black servants of Arab masters are treated virtually as slaves, and reports of the same emerge frequently from the Sudan, whose long civil war is essentially a war of a Muslim Arab elite against a black Christian populace.

Europeans did a massive slavery and deported millions african in america. the muslim societies had another mentality and treatment for slaves who could very more easily freed themselves, they integrated the muslim societies VERY LONG time before westerners, there are true black arabs since centuries... Some Arabs regime still practise today the slavery, like the regime of saudi arabia, the most supported arab "state" by usa...
