What is truly scary to me is (taking this as something canon) the amount of cold blood a corporation like InGen could surpass not to lose money, even hiding accidents, covering the banishing of an inocent life who left behind families maybe and suffer a horrible death by being devour alive.

This is cool, kind of takes Jurassic Park back to the original horror themes of Michael Crichton who originally wrote it. In fact I distinctly remember that story of the infant being attacked from the book, something that didn't make it into the movie.

I know that we're probably going to have to wait a very long time to see a more horrorthemed Jurassic movie (the studios tend to want to make the main movies more family- and adventure-oriented to appeal to as broad an audience as possible, with the exception of Fallen Kingdom which did have darker themes and color schemes), but a concept like this, the found footage style recordings would make for an absolutely FANTASTIC batch of official short films, like Battle At Big Rock, or even a live-action tv-series! 🤩 The horror dino game "Oakwood" also lends itself PERFECTLY to a movie/tv adaptation!

It was also never Spielberg's intention to make the Jurassic Park movies into horror movies. He talked about it in an interview where he didn't want to show the dinosaurs as these "Big scary monsters" but as animals. He wanted to tickle that fascination with dinosaurs that almost everyone had when they were kids, but also appeal to adults as well.

A Jurassic Park horror movie is an untapped gold mine and something I would pay a DISGUSTING amount of money to see. It would truly be a breath of fresh air for the horror genre. I can only imagine what sort of magic you could make with a movie studio budget. Hopefully you’ll get your big break someday.

There’s so much to the Jurassic park/Jurassic world lore than just what we see in those 6 films and the found footage content are a beautiful way of piecing many of the original “Michael Crichton” novels along with taking in many ideas that some might be discarded or written deleted scenes.

Dang! This edit and narrative might actually give me nightmares. The video distortions, the sudden appearances of dinosaurs, the dilophosaurus one really freaked me out when we just say the eyes pop up. And that mysterious birdlike one with the red eyes. Ok thank you for clarifying at the end that a lot of these were from other channels. Because I've seen 2:03 many times and am subbed to them on twitter and youtube. I was worried this was stolen videos. In regards to the video itself, the idea of an analog horror JP/JW story is great! Could totally add more fear and unease to how twisted the Parks truly were. Imagine someone recording themselves finding evidence only to be caught and fed to a dino!!

I really enjoy analog horror and Jurassic Park certainly has its fair share of untapped potential when it comes to the concept. Only real gripe I had with it is that I wish it could focus a little more on the "found footage" side of analog horror instead of using FNAF jumpscares and flashing subliminal imagery. The videos I've seen thus far that really knock it out of the park (including the ones shown here) are always the ones that rely more strongly on the dinosaurs themselves as the source of the horror

For me, the real horror of the JP analog horror videos isn’t so much the dinosaurs, but InGen. Sure, they were woefully understaffed and unprepared in the movies but they’re straight up the Umbrella Corporation in these videos, with demanding evidence be destroyed, witnesses killed and threatening employees or leaving them to suffer horrific deaths at the dinosaurs

What I find interesting about the found footage where the person is recording the TRex, and than it shows that they had visited the theme park in 1993.. That theme park never openned to the public before the incident happened. Dr. Ian Malcom, Allen Grant and Ellie Sattler we invited to the Island *before* it's grand opening (Acording to the movies that is). SO if the found footage is more relative to the movies approach, then that means the person who recorded the T-Rex in their backyard and has the footage of the park from 1993 could only mean that maybe they were a worker at the Isla Nubar site, I would imagine that Ingen and the park allowed employees to experiance the park as it was intended before its grand opening as well, to also trouble shoot stuff like the Automated Tour Rides and what not.

Something that I found out is that in one of the first tapes shown. Specifically the TLW tape. Some of the footage is from other places. I've seen the feathered dinosaur animation and it looks like the footage for the river ride might be from Jurassic Park: Operations and the Dilophosaurus being from the Jurassic Park River Ride attraction that rarely exists.

The majority of the staff of the park were off island before the Nedry incident took place. The security cameras, as seen on Nedry’s workstation, recorded to hard drives, not tape. It is probable the majority of the recordings (if anything actually happened on them) were destroyed during the breaker reset.
