Fr. David Jones, a Welsh-born, was brought up in the Baptist tradition. His extraordinary spiritual journey led him to become a Carthusian monk in France, where he devoted ten years to a vow of silence. After spending most of his life in the monastery, he relocated to the village of Duleek, Ireland, where he now lives as a hermit. Through his remarkable vocation journey, Fr. I got to know Father David at the Saint Antimo Abbey in Montalcino, Tuscany. A highly spiritual figure coming directly from the Middle Age. I remember his hands on my head as a blessing after confession.... We saw him again in Ireland but his very special place seemed to be more in a 1000 A D. Abbey like Saint Antimo.
