Welcome to the Fort Worth Stockyards! This was one of my first exposures to "cowboy culture" when I moved to Texas 10 years ago. I've been living in Poland for 7 years and coming back here has always been an exotic experience. The Fort Worth Stockyards has a lot of signifance to me as I associate it with my big move to Texas years ago. I wanted to show just a fraction of the whacky cowboy stuff you can find here. I needed to find some gifts, but just as important are the stampedes and various cowboy shows and rodeos. This is the sort of place that you take someone when they come to visit you in Texas. Fort Worth is the second biggest city in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex (DFW). Even though it is quite close to Dallas, the culture could be considered quite different.
