Something about being able to just buy a level 200 requirement battle pass skin just doesn't set well with me. Im ok with them being in the shop but i think anyone who gets the base skins from shop should also have to grind to 200 just like we have to. Not very respectful to just say its ok you can buy the 200 level skin even though others had to grind for it. Ya thats not cool.
I agree and before anyone says "well I payed for it so it's equivalent to your grinding" I still think that super styles should be locked or like you said, have them grind to a certain level. Even though we get all the rewards for 8 dollars we do still need to put the time in. I'm fine with skins being rereleased from battlepass but don't include super styles.
@Kurayami612 well I mean we have the optoin to buy levels with v bucks so they could do that to, after buying the skin ofocurse. An if they don't, then ya they can level up so many times like we do, have to. At there own leisure ofcourse. No time frame to level up so many times but regardless the level ups should be required either way. Either through actually doing it, or by buying the the levels with v bucks. That's only fair.
The battle pass is 950 and the if someone was to buy every skin in that battle pass after it was released, it would be 10k v-bucks plus, so I think it's fine at 2000 v-bucks, also 200 tier's in BP is mostly a skin variant, so that skin variant is going to be the only thing they buy until these see the other colors come out separately, they said they'll be adding skin variants in the shop which implies that there not going to hand all colors of that skin once you buy it once

Ok, well, if a skin does come out with varinets that includes let's say a 200 level skin for example then that should be grindable like I explained. If they decide to put some up that are just the variant fo a price then ok you basically paid for the level ups by buying the skin anyway. So both work. Casue that would be the closer to what we would do to pay to level up anyway. Close enough anyhow.. But straight up just paying for all variants with no grind able skins available is a little dirty. Let's hope theirs a mix of the 2. Some grindable, some you just buy. Make it a little easier on their wallets. Thanks for the heads up btw. An will see how it all plays out when it starts dropping.. I'm not gonna put it past then to atleast have some grindable skin unlocks cause they like to have those in the shop sometimes anyway.
Ngl I think Fortnite should allow OG players to complete Old battle passes that they never got to Bc I know I cant be the only one that was so bad that I could not complete the challenges and Never completed chapter one battle passes
Think about that realistically, it would take a large team and time to do that. Not only for outfits but for everything to get exclusive Styles/variants. Old battle passes will not return as they advertised them to be exclusives.
Never understood why he was a battle pass skin. The Mandolorian was popular at the time so I can understand why they put him in there, but iconic characters like Vader and Ahsoka being exclusive sucks. Same goes for Doom Slayer and C2S4
No you guys did , that season was so horrible and boring , I forced myself to play it just for Vader, yk exclusivity, it's why I prefer it that way , does it suck sure but then you see the real fans vs the casuals who just, "like the character "
I honestly was playing from c1s4 to c2s2 and i quit due to real life issues and just couldn’t play games for lioe a year or two, then picked back up in C3S4, and had zero clue that there was already a marvel season in that time until like a month ago, i was waiting for Mystique to show up in the store for like a year cause i saw her running around and wanted to play her and never googled it just assumed it was a store item cause no way a collab would want their collabs be locked to limit their profits. Was extremely sad
This Bp announcement is so disappointing, people primarily have the complaint because they missed out on skins they'll never get and the other side wants rare bragging rights, this shoots both side and helps no one unless someone somehow has never heard of Fortnite at this point
I've played since 2017 and I've missed so many battlepasses because of life outside of gaming. There's a lot of items I still want and the exclusivity bums me out to the point where I'm not investing any more money or time playing this game, OGs and their damn rarity argument, I was there too; I was just too broke and busy. Now I just don't care.
2 things i dissagree with. 1. Not being able to buy old skins, some people want secret skins like the visitor and the singularity 2. Superlevel styles which people spend months working towards being added to this rotation is also unfair as theres really no point in grinding now
@@AgentRayGun My point is, its insanely unfair to those of us who do grind. Some seasons are difficult to level up, take this season where you get killed by a car every game. Why spend all those hours grinding when that same skin youre grinding for gets released in a year, its not only disrespectful, its a huge slap in the face

Was probably a mistake for them to add them to the BP to begin with but what's done is done.
For clarification, Epic has only said that future battle passes will no longer be exclusive. It is implied that old battle passes will remain exclusive and you will not be able to buy old cosmetics.

the last time we got any new dc collab was 2 years ago with black adam in 2022 and haven't done any dc reskins yet except for batman and harley and technically catwomen got one (not sure if they count as reskins since there all item shop skins ) while it can happen i doubt it will happen anytime soon if they do more dc stuff it will likely be a reskin superman and other justice league members like green latern before hell they haven't even brought back star fire since her relese appearance over 600 days ago (she released on September 2nd and stayed till the 11th but hasnt appeared since) so its going to be awhile if they ever do because either fortnite or dc really doesn't like giving us new dc skins
No, you spend 950 bucks for 8 skins, you get 1,500 bucks back. And you have them exclusively 18+ months before rerelease. And when they rerelease they will be 1600+ bucks for 1 skin bundle page you will not have to pay for them each like others.
this might be a hot take but i feel like dissagreeing with this is lowkey gatekeeping. like tons of kids who play fortnite now probably wanna play as iron man or thor but were too young during the season. like 100% out of their control but people still gatekeep
Could easily solve that by making new versions of characters we already have, like they did for Thor when love and thunder came out, give us a different iron man suit like the nano tech suit from Infinity war for example, that way people who played and Grinded when it came out keep their exclusivity and new players get a new and updated version everyone in theory wins

Personally, when I was younger i used to care and want stuff to stay exlusive, but as a collector and someone that just likes to play for fun with friends once in a while, I say make old passes available for purchase so you can grind out old passes the same way you'd have to normally, kind of how Halo lets you pivk which pass and buy old passes and they never expire, they are just a long grind. I think people that would gatekeep an in-game skin rake themselves too seriously. And I say this as someone with a creator-logo from back when there was no BR and it was just Save The World. I've been there from the start. Just let people buy the stuff if they want it. Theres so much more in Fortnite now than there used to be. LEGO, Racing, Rockband sttpe mode, and all the creator made content.
Games like minecraft dungeons halo mcc and lego 2k drive all have bps like this so I'm 100% for this since I like to play casually I work a 9 to 5 job and can't play like I used to therfore I miss out on a ton of ingame items because of it

My personal solution is that to only bring back the collaboration skins because bringing them into battle passes was not a good idea as fans of different franchises may never play as their favorite character. However skins originally made by Fortnite shouldn't return because people who joined late don't care much about them.
OG people are so cringe. Just say you dont want other people to have the same skins as you. I for example couldn't play fortnite till chapter 3 season 1 , and i was so sad till now that i never got to get skins like Kor because i wasnt able to play in those seasons. Ogs who dont want people like me to have their skins are just selfish
I’m glad this only applies to FUTURE battle passes. They are Sticking to the old battle passes being exclusive which is great. But they can’t rerelease old battle pass skins legally anyway 😎
@@PhoenixGraye Old Battle Passes are not going to return individually(cosmetics) or all together (Entire Battle Pass). Only New Future Battle Passes will no longer be Exclusive.
They shot themselves in the foot making collab items exclusive in the battle pass, I do not think older battle passes that were advertised as never coming back should, but you all forget we weren’t the ones who asked for this I remember everyone would hate when a collab skin was battle pass, we wanted storyline skins in there not Indiana jones or spider Gwen, I would have been perfectly fine with them in the shop because then I don’t have to grind for them and I don’t get a bunch of filler I don’t care about. If I wanted a collab skin I should’ve been able to buy them without a full battle pass

I understand that having battle pass skins in the item shop would be tearable but getting them with their other exclusive edit styles that when I draw the line
I believe there cutting skins in half, meaning there special colors will be sold separately in the store, even tho I believe those colors should be where the exclusivity begins at least

new players having the option to buy and play as their favorite characters is not in any way bad and does not ruin the game especially if those new players are paying a higher price for the skin you got for $8

I think that this affecting only future battlepasses is only temporary. I think they’re just testing and seeing how the community will react. They know they’re missing out on a lot of money by not returning OG skins. As an OG myself, I just want other players to enjoy the cosmetics. I think every battlepass from CH1S2 - CH5S3, should return as well. No one cares about exclusive pixels anymore. It’s nearly chapter 6. Cosmetics shouldn’t be exclusive. At some point in time, OG passes will return. Knowing epic they wouldn’t turn down a cash grab like that.
For everyone saying that the people who got the battle passes should get an exclusive style Fortnite has already stated that when the skins come to the shop they won’t have the super styles plus some other styles meaning people who got the battle pass will have exclusive styles
Epic needs to explain why they teased us so much about FNAF like Freddy's voice actor in lego Fortnite, Glitchin emote and that rocket racing car that has Glamrock Freddy's color scheme and the survey where they mention the Mega Pizzaplex with a lightning bolt emoji for Festival
First of all its just a voice actor, and the emote while could be based on FNAF is not really "teasing" anything, next it's just a good color scheme and those serveys never say the item will for sure come to the shop and instead Let them know what the people want for colabs

This is dumb if you buy the battlepass, then you buy it. If you dont, then you dont. Instead, just buy the battlepass if you want the collab skin(s). Just release a reskin like they did with the spider man skins one MCU one comics but dont release Collab battlepass skins. And there should be styles but not like superstyle that are exclusive for people who bought the battle pass. Also, Epic should make something where if you bought a battlepass but didn't get to level 100, your current battlepass and the battlepass you didn't get to level 100 battlepass level ups will sync.
They created a system that allows you to buy items from the battlepass 😂and you don’t think that this isn’t just them testing the waters? I have all of the old collab battle pass skins, but I kinda wish they would also release only the collab skins from old battle passes, just because now you can’t get characters like darth Vader.

If you buy a battle pass, we should be able to OWN it forever until we complete it - it shouldn’t go away when the next season comes. Similar to Halo Infinite’s battle pass - you get to keep them forever until they are finished, because you bought them. (We can pick different battle pass’s that our XP goes to.)
I mean, I think it'd be cool if older passes eventually are available too in rotation, with people who originally bought it getting bonus styles or a new edit style like OG Skull Trooper or such
They should give battle pass owners who got whatever item from whatever battle pass a unique style. Because it will be no different then them re releasing Paradigm and giving OG owners a new variant.

I mean… I can except being able to buy the skins themselves to some degree. But being able to buy the quest styles and the super styles… no!? I love earning those exclusive things, but now, they will no longer be so exclusive? Just doesn’t seem fair, if a have to grind all season long, but then some kid can just buy it later on. I hope Fortnite allows players to get OG battles pass because I played the Crome season and was level 200 but was not able to get the battle pass which made me very sad so hopefully they bring back OG seasons.
I never cared about them allowing people to get like Dr Strange or stuff like that. But I don't think you should get Dusty with her Gold Prestige look. I think that's really messed up. (I know it's only for future passes but I'm just saying. Give battlepass users something exclusive if it's just super styles.)
