AFTERBUZZ TV - The Fosters edition, is a weekly “after show” for fans of ABC Family’s The Fosters. In this show, hosts Jeffrey Masters, Stephanie Giorgi, Jillian Leff, and special guest Hayden Byerly (Jude Adams Fosters) discuss episode 7. From executive producer Jennifer Lopez (American Idol, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, The Back-Up Plan), The Fosters centers on two moms (Teri Polo and Sherri Saum) raising a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids. The series also stars Jake T. Austin, Hayden Byerly, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, Danny Nucci and Cierra Ramirez.

First off, I love this aftershow! You guys all have great chemistry and you always sound like you're having so much fun. Second, I have to say that I was BLOWN AWAY by Hayden here! I cannot believe that he is only 13. I didn't know about this aftershow when he was a guest before, so I didn't know what to expect. But his comments were so insightful and well thought out, it was wonderful to listen to him talk about the show and his character. it's quite amazing for someone of his age to be able to fully grasp some of the concepts and issues that this show tackles, and for him to voice his thoughts so eloquently as well makes it even more incredible. I've seen some child actors who are older than him who do perfectly fine acting-wise, but then in interviews, they aren't able to delve deeper into their character because they haven't thought about it beyond what's on the page. So major kudos to Hayden. He is definitely wise beyond his years. As for the actual episode, I'm glad Dani's gone. She gave off major creepy vibes from day 1. I'm still not quite clear on what she was really after, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore. Sophia definitely comes on a little strong, but I think she sees Callie as a way to shake up her "perfect" life . Kind of as a way to force things to change because she is obviously unhappy with some parts of her life (her school, possibly something else with her mom). Maybe that is why she is clinging onto Callie for dear life, like maybe she sees her as a sort of savior. Jude is still the best brother ever. I like that he was able to bond a little bit with Robert, even if it does hurt him to have to share Callie. Jesus needs to stop being a jerk. I'm almost to the point where I think he should be with no one until he really learns how to treat a girl right and not be so back-and-forth about everything.

The Fosters is such a good show! The real world problems they have on the show are ones we can relate to. It's soooo good. Jude and Lena are my favorite characters. I love The Fosters!!!!

Hayden said he had no idea what was going to happen for season 2b, and the suicide was in season 2b so maybe they were inspired by Steph

I definitely think there's something more towards Sophia but also something more with her mother! her mother is overprotective which is fine but she expects so much and that can be stressful on a teenager. Sophia is a freshman and is already doing sat prep. it puts some pressure on herself and plus Sophia is trying to impress Callie and maybe trying to be a perfect image for her or maybe she's just a little Jesus cause Sophia is a only child. Callie's always had Jude and she has 3 other siblings besides Jude. plus Callie just met Robert so maybe Sophia's jealous of that sort of attention. mrs Quinn is definetly hiding something.

Sadly, Sophia maybe a cutter. got the feeling from her first appearance. the long sleeves, the bordering on over bearing pressure for perfection from the mom. This weeks comment re: not being born may not be a bad thing - there are issues there. also on another story line there could still be a baby. from the first appearance of Dani and her adjusting Brandon's collar - to the secrets - to the sleeping together - last weeks dialogue with Mike/Lena re: starting a family with Dani, Stef telling Brandon you'll understand when you have children of your own. If pregnancy line plays true there could be a baby in the Foster family after all. Be it Mike's child or Brandon's child - Dani can not keep a baby in prison which is where she should be as a pedophile.
