About The Fosters:
“The Fosters” is a compelling, one-hour drama about a multi-ethnic family mix of adopted and biological teenaged kids being raised by two moms. Stef Adams Foster, a dedicated police officer, and her wife, Lena Adams Foster, a school vice principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef’s biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon; their adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus; and newly adopted siblings, Jude, and his half-sister, Callie. As the third season of “The Fosters” continues, former foster teen Callie is now officially adopted into the Adams Foster family. She must put aside any romantic feelings for Brandon and does so by throwing herself into her “Fost and Found” website, even drawing the interest of an investor. After his performance at Disney Hall, Brandon focuses his energy on his music, working with Mat on a musical for their senior project. Mariana’s relationship with Mat is still estranged, so she turns her attention toward running for junior class president. Jesus makes a friend who is into street racing and, at his prompting, questions Ana about his biological father. When Mike discovers a secret that his foster son AJ is keeping, he is torn about what to do with the information. Jude must face the fact that his boyfriend has decided to move away while a serious medical issue for Stef results in a clash of opinions between her wife, Lena, and her mother, Sharon. Winner of a Television Academy Honors Award and GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series.

Of course this is very sad for both kids who had no control over what their parents did and coming here illegally and now we're going to be without them that's very sad but let's not forget that the law is the law

Is the law the law when you’re eating strawberries or buying meat at a grocery store ignoring why you paid such a cheap price for the produce. It is time to realize how this country is made for corporations and corporations only. Not for the citizens nor for immigrants. Immigrants are only welcomed when it comes to cheap labor and paying taxes but are suddenly seen as a threat when it comes to upending and changing the current governmental system in place or if they try going further in life. Immigrants create nations and have created nations for as long as humans have been on this earth. So please do not get on a high horse and throw pity at a family but sit back in your home talking about the law while they are in humanely sent back to a country that puts their lives at risk on the daily. Also do not tell me that you wouldn’t risk breaking a law to make sure you’re family is safe and that you’re children will live to see their 15th birthday.

@@majdnuwarah447 Respectfully, I have several counter arguments. First of all, the most basic point is that there's a difference between *legal* and *illegal* immigrants. It's important to bear in mind the difference. Secondly, this cheap labor- a lot of times the labor of those here unlawfully is *below* minimum wage. Employers take advantage of the fact that they're here illegally and can't go to the police, so they underpay them. You don't consider this exploitation a good thing, do you? As for the jobs they take that most people (allegedly) won't take- people here unlawfully can't possibly be the only ones willing and able to do them (or who can be made to do them). Farmers, factory workers, etc cannot possibly be exclusively people who are here unlawfully. There are and always have been plenty of natives/lawful residents who do those jobs. Also, people who are required to do community service after committing a crime or prison inmates who are forced to do hard labor, for example, can be made to do those less desirable jobs cheaply or even for free. Exploiting people who are here unlawfully is not the only way for these jobs to get done. Third, these people who come unlawfully have survived in their native countries before coming here and survive after being sent back. I recognize that conditions can be very difficult and I sympathize. I'm very much in favor of sending aid to foreign countries to help people in need. *However*, it still is not right to come here (or to any country for that matter) unlawfully. It has an effect on the population, the economy, jobs, homes, spots in schools, society, etc. It's a huge slap in the face to people who went through the process to come here lawfully (time, paperwork, money, emotional energy, etc) to allow those who came unlawfully to just be able to stay. If everyone in the world, or hell, even just one third of the people in the world who had very hard lives in their native countries came here, it would be chaos. This nation would (probably) no longer function as well as it does now. Even if we *wanted* to take them all in, we just can't. We can only have so many people entering regularly. We need to consider the people already here and the big picture. Contrary to what so many people ignorantly say, it's not about racism or xenophobia. It's about the economy and all the other factors I just mentioned. I have no problem with people coming here *legally*. I have no problem with people from different walks of life. Fourth, there are ways to protect your children without breaking the law. People often have difficulties and dangers living here unlawfully. Other than the fact that many report living in constant fear of getting caught, they often can't call the police, can't get driver's licenses, and have other disadvantages. Fifth, while America is by many accounts the world's greatest nation, it's not the *only* one to which someone can immigrate for a better life/to flee difficult conditions of their native country. Yes, I do realize how lucky and blessed I am to be an American citizen and to have the quality of life that I haven, and I certainly don't pretend to know what it's like to walk in the shoes of someone who has had these great hardships and resorted to breaking the law to come here out of desperation. I do, however, recognize and want to uphold fairness to other people of this nation, safety, and sovereignty. We cannot do away with all that just out of pity for people. In order to have safety and stability, we need to have and live by certain laws.

@@CP-yd7lp Classic American here. As long as you are fine and healthy and safe other people don't matter. How sad is your life you take everything for granted. Even if you come here LEGALLY have you seen the ICE camps? They literally look like cages for dogs.

@@beehshin8474 That's not fair to say about me or about other Americans. My life is just fine, but certainly not perfect, and I DO care about other people. Saying that the law need sto be upheld is perfectly reasonable. If the conditions in these holding facilities are as bad as they have been described, then that part needs to change. Those facilities, like all other types of detention centers, should be decent and humane. But people who break the law should still be held accountable. That's not at all hateful to say.
