About The Fosters:
“The Fosters” is a compelling, one-hour drama about a multi-ethnic family mix of adopted and biological teenaged kids being raised by two moms. Stef Adams Foster, a dedicated police officer, and her wife, Lena Adams Foster, a school vice principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef’s biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon; their adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus; and newly adopted siblings, Jude, and his half-sister, Callie. As the third season of “The Fosters” continues, former foster teen Callie is now officially adopted into the Adams Foster family. She must put aside any romantic feelings for Brandon and does so by throwing herself into her “Fost and Found” website, even drawing the interest of an investor. After his performance at Disney Hall, Brandon focuses his energy on his music, working with Mat on a musical for their senior project. Mariana’s relationship with Mat is still estranged, so she turns her attention toward running for junior class president. Jesus makes a friend who is into street racing and, at his prompting, questions Ana about his biological father. When Mike discovers a secret that his foster son AJ is keeping, he is torn about what to do with the information. Jude must face the fact that his boyfriend has decided to move away while a serious medical issue for Stef results in a clash of opinions between her wife, Lena, and her mother, Sharon. I’m totally for it’s Emma body and her choice but damn everyone likes to take away the guys right as well. At the end of the day, it was Emma’s body and her choice but Jesus was the dad! He at the very least deserved to know! That was his baby too and he’s allowed to feel betrayed by that

@@MariaPrado-tu5np she tried to tell him, but she couldn't and part of the reason was because of his condition. It wasn't the right time, and she was unsure of when he would be better again so she took the chance before it was too late.

as much as i'm not currently liking emma for being mean to mariana right now, she's absolutely right about how it was her body and her choice. yes, jesus had the right to know about it but either way she did what she needed to do. i'm glad the show is touching on this topic

I think her dislike for Mariana right now is a little bit warranted. Jesus never would have found out about it if Mariana had just minded her business, but of course, Mariana never learns and the viewers just easily forgive her and blame everyone else. Not you specifically, but it's a trend I've noticed.

Dylanie - It is messed up she didn't tell Jesus, but Jesus suffered a traumautic brain injury. In Emma's mind there was never the right time to tell him and it led her to feel alone and confide to his brother. Mariana had no right to spill that secret. I hope that one day Mariana feels the karmic wave of what it's like to have a best friend betray you like that.

She simply just redirect the blame somewhere else Mariana deserved Haley being a bitch to her . Emma's pregnancy was only her business to know , maybe even Jesus but certainly not Marianna's .

You are missing the point. I don't care if you think she deserves it. Emma is entitled to her feelings but so is Jesus. She is telling him to essentially get over it while she is allowed to be angry? If she really feels this way she should stop being a hypocrite and lecturing him on forgiveness.

betty cooper - how are her feelings hypocritical? Who should she forgive? I'm a bit confused on where you're going with your line of thinking. I see people agree with you, but it seems a bit disconnected. Emma being a dick to Mariana is far different than Jesus destroying all of Brandon's belongings. Perhaps Brandon and Emma should have come forward together and told Jesus, but considering his TBI it was.. it was a complicated situation and two teenagers were trying to figure out the best path. It might not have been the right path, but it was the only path they saw best to take. Those two teenagers being Emma and her confidant Brandon.

Emma is right, she's not ready to be a teen mom or give a baby up for adoption, most pregnant teens would say that. Jesus can't be a father, well not in his condition mostly. Plus Jesus and Emma as teen parents really wouldn't end well

Kathy - I believe her reasoning was because of his TBI she didn't want to she him off and that she knew he would argue to keep it even though she already knew she couldn't handle that responsibility right now. I can understand her line of reasoning given the difficulty of the situation and while Jesus should have had a say, would that be putting his health in jeopardy by letting him know?

This is all true - but Jesus has a right to be mad about it as well because he wasn't even part of the conversation. I understand he was going through his TBI and not in a place to have such a conversation - but he does get to be mad that when he was in a place - she didn't have a conversation with him then to talk about why she had the abortion, and why it was the right choice for her. Instead they had that conversation here in the school hallway where they are both upset and angry.

I’m definitely not for the idea of abortion, but a woman definitely has rights over her own body & whether or not she wants to reproduce. But she can’t really blame Jesus for being mad, since he was completely kept in the dark about the whole thing Also, I think this is a perfect example of why it’s better to wait

This is just my opinion but I feel like she still should have told Jesus so they could've talked it over and she could've explained why she wanted to make that decision. Whether people want to admit it or not, biological fathers have a right to voice their opinion too. Whether or not she decides to change that decision is completely up to her.

I hate how she thinks that since she is on the pill she is 100% safe from getting pregnant no matter what you do there is a chance of you getting pregnant just some chances are more high risk then others so if your not ready for kids and possibly marriage don’t have sex simple as that

I kind of agree with Jesus, but kind of with Emma aswell. She's right to say that's its her body, her choice, but Jesus definitely deserved to at least KNOW. Even if Emma was going to get it anyways, he deserved the right to know, and she should have got the abortion if she wasn't ready. They're both kind of in the wrong and the right here.

No no no no Emma - you don't get to tell him he can't be mad at his brother and guilt him into forgiving him. Brandon should have told Jesus the moment he felt Jesus could handle it if Emma wasn't going to. Jesus gets to be mad about that and process his feelings. He also gets to be mad that you didn't tell him - and probably weren't going to. You don't get to tell him not be mad and not let him process those feelings. He gets to be angry or be with you - those are his choices? I hated Emma for this. She was so unfair to Jesus in this conversation.

I feel like this is the best scenario that can happen with imperfect humans just doing their best. However, Ableism was definitely a part of the reason Emma didn't tell Jesus. I think she should have but I don't blame her for not knowing how best to approach Jesus with his disability. I would have told her to talk to Lena about it and tell her that she doesn't know how to bring it up to Jesus. But again, I get why she didn't want to talk to her. -Maybe talk to a school counselor, or someone.

Emma was really being selfish here and it’s not like Jesus is the only one who’s made mistakes in the past. I didn’t like the way she’s leaving him hanging due to his TBI knowing how much he was suffering and upset as he needed comfort and support and she bailed on him as an excuse of her secrets that involves him. Giving up the baby was bad enough without telling him but ignoring his texts and calls like no big deal is just low…

Y'all need to stop. Yes, she should have told him, and yes, the option of adoption was available, but like she said, it's HER body. She shouldn't be forced to keep it or give birth to it just because Jesus wanted to. Not to mention he isn't even in the right state of mind to raise one. Also, we have no idea how her parents would've reacted if they knew she was pregnant. Maybe they wouldn't disowned her or kicked her out. We need to think about that. Long story short, it was an honest mistake. Emma was on the pill and didn't know her anxiety meds would conflict with it, but it did. Neither of them are ready to be parents right now, despite what Jesus said. It's over and done, let's move on.

+Heinrich You did watch the video if she gave birth he would have wanted to raise the kid which he could not do in his state of mind. Also, you still don't know what type of parents she has. However, since you love adoption so much as an option when you get the chance adopt as many children as you can. +Heinrich Karg She WAS on birth control. Her anxiety medicine conflicted with it and it resulted in an unplanned pregnancy. Did you not read my paragraph? It wasn't either of their faults; Emma didn't know. What's done is done and you need to realize that. All this back and forth is not going to reverse the abortion.
