The US was late to the practice of intelligence, but during World War II the country created a new model of combining intelligence collection and analytic functions into a single organization-the Office of Strategic Services. How did this outfit transform into today’s CIA? Thanks to President Harry Truman and a small group of advisors.
Dr. Richard E. Schroeder, retired CIA officer and author of The Foundation of the CIA, as he reveals how President Truman and his “Missouri Gang,” which included Sidney Souers and Roscoe Hillenkoetter, developed this new, centralized agency directly subordinate to and responsible to the President, despite entrenched institutional resistance. Schroeder will reveal how this group provided the leadership the US needed to take on the responsibilities of a global superpower during the very first years of the Cold War.

At video minute 6:46, Mr. Schroeder comments that the U.S. gathered intelligence during the war, but then forgot this information during peacetime. He also comments that the U.S. reduced the Inteligence/defence budget in the 1990's, right before the September 11th attacks. This might cause a person to think we should have kept up the defence budget as a preventive from attacks. This contradicts the idea that standing armies make Kings. The French King was outraged by the tiny country of Holland. They had no King, no standing army, wore homespun clothing, and were not very fancy. Despite all this, this tiny country of Holland managed to become a major player on the world market. What Holland had going for it was, they taught their citizens to read. Holland refused to keep a standing army. They did not prepare for war until they were attacked, because a standing army encourages tyrant Kings.

Teaching at a University or college is not the sole purview of CIA heads. Many former spooks worked in colleges long before and sometimes After working for the CIA. Working in foreign services teaches you so much about the inner working of foreign countries. You could say they learn all they can to survive and excellent in their jobs as foreign intelligence officers.

The CIA was a continuation of the OSS. FDR's policies required a new intelligence organization and did so under the guise of national security. Madison Grant's Passing of the Great Race, the original book that inspired Adolf Hiterl's Mein Kampf, was one of America's most influential texts that led to the start of WW2 and modern day anti-semitism. Anyone arguing for the CIA does not realize it is just another White Supremecist organization that intends to eradicate any non-whites thru a eugenics program. The arguement against Trump from the CIA is a farse, a false flag.

But these CIA guys have bought the lie and love the fantasy. They are exceptional and everyone else needs to suffer our version of greatness. They are the domestic terrorists we were warned about. These are the guys that calculate and threaten honest patriots and their families to conceal embarrassing mistakes they made. People easily manipulate their perception when they think they are the ones upholding the larger justice, no matter how skewed. That is why democracy needs many opposing voices to make meaningful policies.
