This is one of the BEST explanations I have heard someone give and it was or is most opportune for me. I was struggling a bit (you know the way it goes in the beginning, very up and down LOL and we all know the beginning can last a lifetime or more) and your words made me realise that I'm not doing too badly after all, so I thank you from the heart. I would never give up, the daily discipline is too well established, but recently (with the current world situation), there has been a long, somewhat agitated "I millimetre forward and 3 backwards" period and living somewhat isolatedly (I have no television, only YT and google, books and the insights from my practice) it has been a struggle against getting pulled back more deeply into duality. You must have taken a lot of time and effort to make this video and I hope there will be more. I appreciate your efforts, truly. I should start using more templates for slideshows like this. In this phase of Kali Yuga, the dark age, the most important thing is to take advantage of the little time we have by working and providing service in every spare hour we have. "nothing but work!", as my being instructed me. the self-purification is equally important, but for those of us who may not have time to fulfill that in this life, it would be better to serve rigorously in order to earn another human existence to continue working. due to the state of our planet, human rebirths have diminished almost entirely for everyone on the planet. if none are currently available to you, you can work toward earning them. This awareness should easily awaken your one step forward, three steps back tendency. Namaste.

@@108Existences One other aspect I think is worth mentioning is 'The Tathagatha.' .........the Cosmic Buddha. It's an interesting paradox that experience or absorption (Nibbana...not Nirvana) into the non-form Janas can lead to this cosmic experience. Which can inappropriately increase a big ego, but to get there in the first place you need to experience 'not-self' or non ego! As a matter of interest I found many years practising the exercises in Franz Bardon's 'Initiation into Hermetics' greatly helped. For example imagining a one inch image of oneself at the end of your bed, and transferring your mind into it and becoming that 2 inch high miniature creation of yourself.
Enlightenment is losing the ability to be unloving.Enlightenment is never forgetting the truth of Oneness again. Enlightenment is being in loving relationship to all things - Heart-based Consciousness.
I have a questions. Do the different Tara/Deities in Vajrayana still have a sense of identity that they use to mentor, guide, and protect those seeking enlightenment? They all have classifications of how they offer help would this not be tied to the aspect of source/universe that they are? Their divine role as opposed to one having a more ego based material sense of “purpose”
Interesting question. No bodhisattva has the crude mammalian ego we have, nor even the subtle nirvanic ego that the demigods have. Tara is one such buddha as well as the great masters like Jesus, Krishna, Buddha, Moses, etc. They also appear to us in different forms so we can understand them. I'm not certain whether or not the 21 aspects of Tara are intrinsic or something we made up, but they would be superior templates/expressions. Not egoic personalities.
