This video is taken from the Full Length Documentary I did on the Hudson-Fulton Celebration of 1909. It is a high level view of the four voyages of Henry Hudson. It is meant to highlight some of the notable events that occured in each voyage and is not a detailed account of each. You might even see our Wright Flyer Time Machine!
For those interested in more detail there are a number of good books referenced in the Bibliography at the end of the video.
Please feel free to join us at groups/hfc1909 (Hudson-Fulton Celebration 1909) to discuss the video, Henry Hudson, Robert Fulton, or the Celebration of 1909.
The views expressed in this video are mine and mine alone. Your mileage may vary.

Good video! Poor Henry, what a way to go D: btw the tone of your voice, like the downward inflection at the end of sentences, reminds me of Strongsad from Homestarrunner lol

Rigorously detailed and expertly presented. My third viewing of this and my appreciation, robust from the get go, amplifies with each. Thank you!

On this day 1611 he, his son , and others were set adrift by mutineers.

Henry Hudson was left to drift on the arctic ocean by mutaniers of his ship. They were left to drift into history in 1611. 1600 and frozen to death.

Henry Hudson most likely was set adrift in Hudson Bay, near or in the area of James Bay. As his body had never been found, how he (and the others) actually died is not known. They may have frozen or starved. Others believed he may have made it to shore and lived for a time. We will never know for certain. Several of those, including Robert Juet, responsible for the mutiny, died on the return voyage.

So his bones rest at the bottom of his bay. Didn't find what he searched for but few have more geography named after them...
