Dr. Bruce Hermann, a plastic surgeon and MD medical doctor in Texas says nearly ten thousand fireworks injuries are reported every Fourth of July. Hermann says about 10% of those are some of the worst injuries he sees, while the rest tend to be rather minor. LiveNOW’s Andy Mac and Dr. Hermann discussed injuries, issues, accidents and advice for buying and throwing your own fireworks in terms of safety and explosive fireworks.

Not try'n to rain on your lovely 4th of July celebrations, but this is exactly why our Government in Australia put a stop to fire works being sold to the general public back in the 70's.

It's best to just LEAVE FIREWORKS TO THE PROFESSIONALS ONLY!!!! 👍 They know exactly what they are doing 😊 No one using them who aren't professionals don't really really know what they are doing! 😢 People can AND do get injured and even killed 😭 I feel that fireworks should be BANNED worldwide!!! 😡 They are just too dangerous and it's best to just leave them to the professionals 👍
