Soooo good. We do forget that God doesn't need us for anything , there's nothing we could give that isn't already his. But he loves us and wants us enough to save us. How awesome a God.
I been fighting works based salvation for the past few weeks and then boom some silly comedian skit brakes the ice on my heart. That was unexpected and much appreciated.
See James and a lot of what Paul wrote. Wish I could remember all the places. I pray this helps further. If we could earn our salvation, we could lose it; since Christ grants us (the church, whom he laid down his life for Ephesians 5:25) salvation, no one can take us out of his hand.
'You replaced with what-?' *Me yelling out guesses before it's revealed* "A SMART PHONE!" "A Rubik Cube!" *Forth wise man* "Hummus!" DRAT! I was so close.
Thank you for simplifying the hard core facts. Our faith brings us to our works (doing His Will) and His will is we all learn about Him....you guys do such a beautiful task of showing your faith. Love you, all, Be blessed in His name, Yahusha Hamashiach HallaluYAH
This could have been titled *Three Church Members And A Wise Man* His being whiny, lost the camel's, traded out the intended gift... all of it brought this verse to mind, Matthew 23:37 KJV O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! But gladly, they did not do this; and when he spoke, they came to repentance - and remembered the importance of Who they were seeking.
Y'all need to stop tripping out I'm the comment section and just enjoy the video. No one know how many wisemen there was and who cares as long as it is mentioned that they went to see Jesus and brought him 3 gifts is all that matters. Most people bel there was only three men because of the three gifts.
We talked about this in Sunday school... I think many people think there were 3 because the Bible mentions 3 gifts. So does that mean that if you got 12 presents for your bday, there were 12 people at the party...no. Might have been less, 12 or more
Actually back in those days, these wise men so to speak, we're actually great teachers not just scholar issues but also a Biblical things these wise men came from the Babylonian region remember Daniel and the Jews were taken captive centuries earlier and Daniel had schooled Nebuchadnezzar in the ways of God and the Bible. Scholars believe that there was a remnant of teachings that was passed down through the generations in regards to the Messiah being born end of the signs in the heavens and these great wise men these mathematicians and astronomers had been watching for this through the centuries. So when these signs showed in the heavens they knew the Messiah had been born and set out on the journey which probably took five or six months to planned to pack to do the logistics and set out for Jerusalem. men of this stature in the community would not have made such a dangerous journey alone so it is conceivable that this was the wise men plus their Entourage plus their supply chain many many camels and other animals packed with provisions for the journey. And remember the costly gifts of gold frankincense and myrrh. Mary and Joseph were very poor a poor young couple just setting out, and God in his wisdom knew that they were going to have to exile it to Egypt for safety. these expensive gifts could be sold for the funds to make such a journey and also to set up housekeeping in a foreign land for a period Of time. The Bible says the wise men came into the house where the young child was. Most people think Jesus was probably between 1 and 2 at this time past the neonatal phase and growing into a child. John MacArthur has an in-depth study of this that's certainly answers most of these questions much better than I did
@@Dobiegal Yes I read John McArthurs expo on this. Amazing. Also, Mary's offer in the temple was a dove/pigeon... Indicating they were poor. So offer was made before the wise men visit them, otherwise she would have offered a lamb by selling the gifts... And like you mentioned, the wise men visit them in a house... Not a stable like many nativity scenes depict. Amazing what wealth of background can one get from 1 sentence in the Bible
Yeah. that's the way the Skit Guys work: they start off with something that seems a bit unusual at first, but in the end, there's always something to take away with you once you've seen the end of a skit. Many of they're skits are really deep.
amazing skit! you guys crack me up every time I watch one of your videos, you guys are like the definition of what we want our RU-vid channel to be like. just keep doing what Ya'll are doing and never stop praising God and keep spreading his word!

It says nowhere in the Bible that there were three, four or any other number. It says ‘wise men from the east’ but the idea of three came from there being three gifts mentioned but each mentioned gift could have been brought by more than one wise man.
Can you absolutely prove there wasn't three? Maybe there really was only three, all we truly know is that there was more than one. And Matthew 2, the only gospel to mention them, refers to them as "Wise Men". And that is the KJV. I suppose I could check the Greek Interlinear but I really don't feel like getting out of bed and going to my study.
Keep believing the lie. You probably believe Adam and Eve bit a apple. I can prove it . But I seek praise from the Lord not man I give you a hint. - old testament, you know where all of Jesus prophecy is given. So when you decide to get your butt out of bed maybe you can study some more. You say three it's more than three. Happy New year !!
@@deborahnew4914 Nope, I don't believe that Adam and Eve bit into an apple. I believe it was a type of fruit that existed only on that one tree and it's nothing like any fruit humans have seen since. I also don't believe that a whale swallowed Jonah. (Just in case you were wondering.) And if you go back and re-read my comment you will see that I never actually said I believed it was three Wise Men. I have no clue how many, just that it was obviously more than one. And since I commented at 1:30 after being woken from a nightmare, I really wasn't going to go find my Interlinear just to check to see what the Greek term called the Wise Men. Which by the way translates to Men of Wisdom. Isaiah 60, Psalms 68, and Psalms 72 all mention Kings falling down and worshipping Christ. This doesn't necessarily mean the Wise Men. As all Kings past, present, and future will bow before Christ and call him King. The only other mention that could be translated as Magi is in Daniel, when the King had a dream about the statue with feet of iron and clay. So: 1. No, I don't believe that there were three Wise Men 2. The Greek word translates as Men of Wisdom 3. There is no verse that speaks of Magi visiting Jesus at any stage of his life. 4. As for the verses in Isaiah and Psalms. A. Kings bowing before Jesus doesn't necessarily mean as a toddler as Kings will bow before him at the end of days. B. There is absolutely no proof that the Wise Men were Kings.
