The Fox (Traditional Song) 

This is a Traditional song I learned off a Spider John Koerner record. I used to be able to play it pretty good on an old beat up 12 string. The Taylor is to pretty. It's not punchy enough, and I'm just out of practice with the song. I also don't use a thumb pick anymore. There was a season I was really into the thumb pick and doing that like Spider, but now it's either my fingers or a plectrum. A guitar with a floating bridge would be better. ( That's what I used to have.) I used to cover at least a half dozen Spider John songs. Some he wrote and some he adapted into his own style. I liked Good Time Charlie, and I Ain't Blue. I got to see him many times through out the years. He knew me by face cuz I would always fan boy on him. I couldn't help it. He'd see me coming and go "oh boy this guy's still around."
