Make no mistake, Spain is NOT a democracy. Castilian Spain has perpetual secrecy laws imposed by Franco to never ever declassify the Terrorist Criminal activities of Castilians. Catalans want you to know about the Spanish HOLOCAUST. Castilians don’t want you to know their Castilian “chiringuito” of horror led by Castilian “Guardia Civil” going house by house arresting, torturing, raping, killing and stealing from Catalan families. Same as the Talibani or the Russians in Ukrain; or the Serbians in Kosovo. Dissolve Spain and stop the Castilian Criminal Terrorist Chiringuito called Spain. Nobody wants your Criminal Terrorist Spain.

Franco was the baddest dictator in Europe. He made Spain great again and for 40 years he reunited all cultures within the country. Employment was at its highest ever, crime was non existent, everyone actually had a profession like blacksmiths, carpenters, painters, miners, you name it. He constructed an excess of bridges, roads, railroads, parks, social housing. He created the social security and the federal holidays. Spain had again one of the strongest and biggest militaries in Europe, it had the second biggest fishing fleet in the world. Franco loved the country like no other and it was deeply hurt on how the Spanish-American war ended(that is something I can explain also because the americans started the war making $hit up about the ship Maine being sunk in Havana). Anyways, Franco brought the most successful and estable period that Spain ever had in its history.

The 'Red Terror' and the Spanish Civil War: Revolutionary Violence in Madrid This book deals with one of most controversial issues of the Spanish Civil War (1936-9): the 'Red Terror'. Approximately 50,000 Spaniards were extrajudicially executed in Republican Spain following the failure of the military rebellion in July 1936. This mass killing of 'fascists' seriously undermined attempts by the legally constituted Republican government to present itself in foreign quarters as fighting a war for democracy. This study, based on a wealth of scholarship and archival sources, challenges the common view that executions were the work of criminal or anarchist 'uncontrollables'. Its focus is on Madrid, which witnessed at least 8,000 executions in 1936. It shows that the terror was organized and was carried out with the complicity of the police, and argues that terror was seen as integral to the antifascist war effort. Indeed, the elimination of the internal enemy - the 'Fifth Column' - was regarded as important as the war on the front line.

The Republic blew up and sabatoged their own mines so Hitler would not get to them and build tanks with the minerals.

Pedro Almodovar and his now released, acclaimed movie "Parallel Mothers" along with Guillermo's Del Torros "Pan's Labyrinth" are basically love letters to the Second Republic. No one is making beautiful movies in tribute to Franco for a reason. Also, no one is making timeless classics sympathetic towards Franco (and the Nationalists) like they did for the Republic like George Orwell's "1984" and Ernest Hemingway's ' For Whom the Bell Tolls

"1984" is a critique to totalitarian governments, specialy communism. But Orwell's other book ,"homage to Catalonia" is about his time in the spanish civil war as a soldier in the international brigades, where he became deeply disappointed about communist ideals. People have to understand that Franco´s regime was first and foremost a reaction to the madness of the second republic, and when it finally ended, it transitioned surprinsingly quicky to a full blown democracy.

Orwellian reality is happening bunder neo loberalism...left right is old way of looking at it. And usually forgotten is the authority of the left/socialist/communist. Hitler gained power as a reaction to communism which one can relate to spain. I can't look at the history of communist states reverse engineering it to if franco lost. At the time it was a relatively new form of government. It sounds nice and fair but doesn't end up being so. Millions died in the great leap forward. Russia sent any deserter or poor schmuck to a gulag. Pol pot. Uncle Ho just because he was alternative to US young peolles parents didn't not commit vile atrocities. Why the romance after history has shown left authoritasm is as bad or worse I don't get. I love the blindness to history of those that say " we woukd do it right this time".....ol Hugo has destroyed a country and the populace starves. I guess a new newer new way of doing it ??? The us isn't pure capitalist.... I guess the romance of Spain is romancing a time where naivebbut passionate idealism reigned. I get that.

It is important to acknowledge the dark aspects of history and not sweep them under the rug in the name of progress. It is also important to remember that progress can come in different forms and does not necessarily negate the harm done in the past. It is possible for a country to make advancements in certain areas while still acknowledging and addressing the harm done in the past. By bringing attention to these issues and encouraging honest discussions, we can learn from the mistakes of the past and work towards a better future. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and raising awareness about this important topic.
