I taught myself English way before the internet and youtube even existed... Now, I'm embarking in this new adventure of learning French. It should be a lot easier. It takes time and perseverance though. I'm cancelling my Netflix account. Alexa: Merci beaucoup pour tout ce que vous faites, j' adore vos videos.
There are tons of French movies and series on Netflix too which you can use when you're learning French so I think you shouldn't be so quick to throw it away. I practically learnt all of English from just watching movies and I know loads of people have too so it would be more helpful
+Diego Wilson Huaman Rodriguez completly serious haha, they started teaching us in grade 4, im grade 11 now (make that 7 years now!) and never once did they think to teach us it haha
Lmao---I was like no "She didn't" that couldn't possibly be one letter--My brain was trying to comprehend 3 whole words in the letter Y---Operation shut the video down we have learned enough tonight

@JJ nolastname why did you literally ask a random person "is your name aurora?" Like, bruh, come on, she probably feels uncomfortable now because of you, P.s srry if I sounded mean you just bugged me
It is quite normal, it is a Romance language like Spanish and the English language was very strongly influenced in the 11th century by the French language, more than half of the English words come from the French of the time.
When I took French in high school, those whose spoke Spanish, especially if it were their first language, had an easier time learning French than the rest of us.
It's a lot easier for me to learn French than for others because I speak Spanish and English:) Learn French have been always my dream!!! Thank you Alexa u're such a great teacher :)))
Alexa, I am so happy I found you!!! I really like your style. Thank you! I started learning French few weeks ago, so I feel happy I found you just in time. My teacher said that I have an advantage in learning French since my native language is Spanish. I am excited! Good luck to all of us trying to learn a new language.😆
so English alphabet with different sounding vowels and the letter Y for some reason with "greek" pronunciation , got it, a little bit disappointed, expected more... English really did beat the French with simplicity, despite the pretty vocabulary and clever word/sound/letter ordering. Spanish? Who cares about them eeehhhhhhhhrggggggggghhhhhhhhh
This is beautiful. I am Acadian, my great grand mother was a Cormier. My name is Burnetta. I was so intimidated by French. This is my first lesson, thanks!
Currently learning French in school, we learned the alphabet today but the teacher went too fast, so I'm looking om this channel for the alphabet and a few other things:>
This helped me so much, with pronouncing my letters.^_^ I am learning French this year and some of the words are extremely hard to pronounce, mainly because I am only just learning to properly pronounce all of my French letters. Merci Alexa! :)
Thank you so very much you helped me in my french speaking test and the teacher said i got spot on pronunciation all thanks to you i will tell al my friends about you so you can help them.
Hi Alexa, I am so impressed with your RU-vids. I have been looking for a place to study French as it is a beautiful soft language. I tried our Alliance Francais ... but I love how you teach the French Language. I will definitely be studying French from you. Thank you again. Cheers. Anne
I wished I could pronounce the letter “R” the way the French do. If one could have a favorite letter I’d say the “R” is it for me. My native language is Spanish and I also love how our letter “R” is pronounced.
Lemme help you, it's "aigh" the "ai" part is said like ayy but the "y" is a bit shorter, then the "gh" part is said like the "gh" in "ugh" hope this helps!
Its still interesting to me that we refer to w as a double u as opposed to French & Spanish (possibly others) that refer to it as a double v. Apparently there was a penmanship difference a long time ago ha!
The W was originally two Us put together to make the sound. U and V were written the same at one point. The K and W are not native to French (or Spanish) and were added in modern times, for loanwords.
J'ai appris français depuis plus de trois mois maintenant, et je suis natif américain, si je parle anglais. Je veux juste dire que je suis très heureux avec la façon dont vous enseignez le français. Merci, Kiahna :)
on dit "J'ai appris LE français ..." et "je suis américaine, je parle anglais..." et" je suis très heureuSE" sinon, c'est très bien ! continue comme ça Kiahna!
Yes I enjoy learning spanish, such a beautiful language !! it's different from french and yet so similar. I must have been spanish in another life because it seems very logic to me.
French R takes shape at the bottom of the palate, it is typically the sound made by people who spit mucus (sorry for the comparison)... The French R does not use the tongue. Possibly, trying to gargle can help (it's an R rolled at the bottom of the palate). If you can pronounce the Spanish J, it can help you, it's a sound very close to the French R but not exactly the same.
Hey bud! This is likely difficult for you as a purely english speaker because you're not used to using your epoglotus to pronounce things. One thing I think might help altough I haven't experiemented is to attempt to gurgle water deeper in your throat until you make the sound, although please be careful not to choke
The pronunciation of letter 'I' in French sounds same as 'E' in English and the pronunciations of letters 'J' and 'G' in English are switched in French.
I've been learning French with "Duolingo" and "learn French language" apps. Very awesome apps, especially if you are a beginner like me. However, I wish I can get a French speaking person that also knows and understand English, so we can speak French together. That way, whatever I learn stays with me. Anyone here who can help, please do. Or direct me to an online social community where I can meet French speakers. Thank you.
Cause French don’t pronounce the H they have lots of silent letters; for ex, Hey! You pronounce the H but in French it Hé they don’t pronounce the h so it’s basically saying é, funny right also cuz they hate English for them English it’s a disgusting lenguage 😴
@@ashleyjimenez7736 why are you saying things like that ? why do you say we think it's a disgusting language ? it's a bit strange to say this.Just, at school, english is not well taught and we don't have that much opportunity to use english, but to say we find it disgusting, is not true
Is she your like your real auntie or did you just say that I was wondering when I saw you text if she was my auntie I would be like famous OMG lucky you
By the way Alexa, how many lessons are there in your curriculum. I would be starting as a Complete Beginner. My first language is English. I would like to Speak beautiful French ... beautiful conversational French...... Tq Again.
I am from Sri Lanka. I satisfied very much with your splendid introduction. I don't know any a,b,c of french language. Please help me. Thanks with many regards Kuma Sri Lanka.
Wow so the second way to read the Vietnamese alphabet is deprived from French now I know!! It seems way much more easier for me to learn now. However I still have trouble reading the letter Y
I've always wanted to lean French ever since I was 6 or 7 years old because I was fascinated with French. I think it was after I found out that Je t'aime meant I love you. I also wanted to understand more then English and Spanish. I love the way French sounded but I never understood it. I already knew a little bit of French but I didn't want to wait until high school or collage.
I'm I the only one here for french homework?? Im in year 9 and ive been learning french since year 7.. And i cant even count to ten let-alone recite the alphabet. And yes , i just realised now i had homework. Just as i was about to turn the light off...
