Napoleon was first ruler who invented full-scale mobilisation for every men. Of course he firstly take only young, old and 30+ probably just keep living in their village/city. Such system still using in many countries.
(Treaty of Madrid 1801)
Well yes and no. France did fire the first shot but if France didn't fire the first shot then they would have been the one who was shot first.... And if you're facing a coalition like this one getting shot first is definitely not what you want to be subjected to.
Napoleon didn't fight to win land. Napoleon fought to win battles. This is a major L because he was fighting to defeat armies rather than clear the land and win a quick victory. I hate to say it but blitzkreig is the superior military tactic.
Napoleon was very Smart tbh, i mean why would he annex alot of territories when you can't really control them, what's worser is there will be rebelions if napoleon annexed austria, and prussia. But i think your also right, because Austria was literrally Spared by Napoleon alot and only taking small amount of Lands from the Habsburg, atleast make Hungary, and Czechia Independent and make them allies of Napoleon.
@@7macfly2 but the point is, it was endless warfare, no quick victory. Victory in battle means nothing if your enemies are going to come back with a bigger army next year.
@@EzioAuditoreDaFirenze99 blitzkrieg tactics only worked 2 times. From 1942, the germans were defeated everywere, blitzkrieg didnt workd anymore While Napoleon was still winning battle until the end it was endless war for germany too, but they last less longer than France's Napoleon
