I don't buy that Ethan just "miscommunicated". He really did cling on to her to save his channel and probably still wouldn’t admit it. When he had her come on the podcast, the videos were very successful. In fact, the only other person that brought in the same amount of views as Trish was Belle Delphine. Even when he had actual celebrities on, the videos didn’t do as well.
He doesn’t know how to be an engaging interviewer. That’s the problem. There’s podcasters with less fame that grew in popularity cause they know how to engage in conversation.

So basically what I'm getting from this is that ethan misunderstood what trisha meant by wanting new staff, and then when the staff were chill in continuing their work he then misconstrued what the staff said, making it seem like there couldn't be another episode. I've been running crews & a boss since I was 19 & have owned construction contractor business for 11yrs. I wouldn't & haven't ever delt with problems or issues with an employee in front of other employees or anyone else that's on a job. Always done in private one on one. This is what you non real world interacting with tons of ppl face to face & the public alot ona daily basis business owners don't understand. Ethan gets zero slack & is 100% to blame! He hired or went into type of partnership with someone he knows very well to be mentally unstable & knows exactly what can set her off all the above! A good leader would've never let anything happen for her to have a fit in the first place! Especially if she's huge part of your success! HE FUCKING FAILED AS A LEADER! I promise you would've never happened if I was in his position! You can make ppl like Trisha feel important & part of the process very easy without giving her any chance to screw anything up or any real executive power! Ethan is a terrible leader! Put him in any situation that someone with a strong personality that isn't afraid to tell him fuck off & not just brown nosing ass kissers like Dan & everyone he surrounds himself with he doesn't have a fucking clue what to do or how to lead. That whole situation was just Ethan proving Crowder right in the most hilarious self destructive way. And the best part is Ethan probably thought he won.
From day 1. From the first inkling of the idea occurring I was saying in comments and elsewhere that this was never going to not be toxic. It was never going to end well ever under any circumstances. And Ethan may be the worst brother and family member ever by creating the situation where such a toxic person would enter the family. She has never been an honest person has always been toxic, has always been a malingerer, and worse. Then Ethan has always had an insane ego that has been growing nonstop since the podcast era and he has become more and more and more disconnected from his roots and what made him what he was. This was never going to be okay and even though it brought all kinds of popcorn drama content and entertainment to us. This situation caused real damage to real people. It never should have happened. Even from a business perspective Ethan's employees should be SUPREMELY upset with Ethan for putting them in that kind of toxic situation to begin with. Regardless of if he lied or not to them about whatever Trisha may or may not have said or claimed. That was fully due to his sh*t ego that they were in that situation at all. This is just another step in his slow fall into irrelevancy, bitterness, and loathing of his former fans and himself. Not to mention how toxic their interactions were in nearly every episode not just the big fight drama episodes. They always fed into eachothers insecurities BADLY about her looks and promiscuity and mental illness and his weight and cognitive illness and mental illness. LITERALLY EVERY EPISODE featured long, long portions of dialogue where they fed in very unhealthy ways eachothers shallow insecurities. Jut deepening them and making them have more self loathing and self pity. Now its hard to tell if Ethan has a secure bone in his body and Trisha has fully regressed and just mask off didn't grow an inch from that experience. In fact she is likely less mentally healthy then ever now thanks to this podcast. The money might have been good for them but was that money worth the likely lifelong damage here for them and their families. Probably not.
