The FREQ | First Look! 

Neat idea, I'm sure there's a ton of money in development behind it. But, that's too much for an E Caller. I have a hard time with the Super Revolt and X24...

We used it on the last big bobcat hunt and had endless battery and connectivity issues. Given it was about 20F down south of Eldorado I can understand the battery life but for the remote to disconnect entirely and erase all the preprogrammed calls I setup ( twice ) is a no go in the middle of a stand.

$2000.00, that’s a hard NO.

I’m Intrested also cause I’m tired of foxpro not coming out with the x48 and when you ask them about it they won’t respond and it’s way over due

If they could prove you would double the amount of dogs you’re calling, and this unit lasted a few years, it would be worth it. The problem is no one will ever be able to prove how efffective it is, there will only ever be anecdotal evidence. I think I’d rather buy the $500-800 that everyone has used for years with great success and spend the rest on ammo.

Bold claim id say. Especially in my area where we dont have anywhere near the numbers you guys have in Texas. I guess as far as price its all relative. My thermal was 6k so do I say 1k is too much for the call. I dont know 🤔

I've been waiting for you to tell us it's a must have or just another caller. I do not like the price but compared to a good thermal it's not all that bad.

From an average Joe’s point of view, absolutely not. No way I’d spend that absurd amount of money for a hobby. However, from a professional predator hunter’s point of view (government trapper or fur trader) if it truly does what it claims, then it’s just another tool to improve the quality of productivity. It’s always good to have new technology introduced to help improve market competition and eventually improve price. Hope there’s more like it soon!

Wade do a podcast on your thoughts of the call after testing it out maybe get Gary on to talk about it as well we would love it

I think you should bring out your old ecall first and play it, then if nothing comes in try this thing out

2k is way too high. Like snoop high,these calls seam to be out running the value by a mile. Had they priced them at $500-$600 they would have sold ten times as many.

I get the ultrasonic sound idea but the sound library is not good enough for me to buy one. I have no trouble calling coyotes with mfk sounds on my foxpro

The idea makes sense. If you were a proficient tournament hunter, I could see making the investment, but if you're just going out on weekends, not a chance.

No way !! My fox pro does me just fine. If i can't call them. I will trap them.

The distress sounds are pretty good but their coyotes vocals are not very good at all. I have made about ten stands with it and have only had two coyotes respond. In those areas I called that’s about as the same as the lucky duck I’ve used before. Probably a really great call but where I hunt coyotes I have to have more aggressive and realistic coyote sounds for good success.

Is that what the foxpro 360 is gonna cost? It looks pretty big and bulky too. I’d wait for real world reviews and bugs to be worked out. I’d probably buy it if it lived up to the claims though,,,

For 2k it better do something damn special! Better be the easiest to use, easiest to program, free sound library, with the most options out there, and best sound/speaker volume. 2k is a mint for what is essentially a Bluetooth speaker that makes dying animal noises.

You are incorrect about the timer on a Foxpro remote. The timer is not a sound timer and does not reset each time you play a sound. The timer on the Foxpro remote resets each time you turn the remote off and back on.

I see nothing there to justify that kind of price... and as far as the what they say on the box there is no way to prove that.

I like it. Its not good for coyote vocals. Saying that, i have killed several coyotes with it. The fox act very dumb, cant get them to leave sometimes if your switching sounds trying for a cat...have killed several cats with it and i may be on to a certain sound/sequence with it but im not 100% sure yet. One or 2 more hunts then maybe ill know more. But last hunt it is the only call we saw animals with. Using LD and foxpro as well.

Size is what it is. But 2 grand man! Wtf. If that thing does what it says it does time and time again, then maybe, and that’s a big damn maybe it would be worth that price tag but man I won’t be able to determine if it lives up to the claims at that price tag.

Price is out of reach for the common man. Make videos of yotes not coming in. Then call using high frequency only.

Well let me tell you. I have purchased a Freq call and have been using it on my ranch and neighboring ranches. And as much as I am trying to justify my 2K investment. I am having trouble doing so. I hunt most of the time at night with thermal. And my experiences so far after 25 sets have not been even close to the expectations on the box. Let me start with the actual ultrasonic sounds? The animal sounds seem to be very realistic. The Coyote sounds I have to say don't sound good to my ears, but perhaps they might to a coyote. I have to say that the none of the none ultra sonic coyote sounds are good. So after 25 sets I have only killed 2 dogs with the Freq call by itself. I hunt on all privet land that is not over called. Some of my experiences so far are as follows. I have had 5 different dogs show themselves at 500 plus yards. They hung up and wanted nothing to do with any of the Freq sounds I through at them. After that many hang ups I had two more dogs stop at 500 yards plus. And so I then pulled out my mouth call and proceeded to call both dogs in for the shot. One other time I had three dogs at one time come running hard to the Freq, to have them stop at a brush line and then turn back at a dead run away from us. We were down wind. I had another E call on our set that night. I put on a interrogation howl and got all three to turn and come back over the hill. Although they all three stopped at the brush line and never came in, it was interesting that they came back to a different call? I could go on with more, but the fact is that so far I am getting just as many hang ups as I do with my 10 dollar mouth call my 600 dollar LD or my 700 dollar FP. When talking with the Freq folks they did not deny much of what I was saying and offered to give me 30 more days to try the call. They informed me that there will be new sounds coming soon and the downloads will be free. So at this time I am really undecided. If I was not already so deep into to all my thermal gear and needing to feed my family I might send it back. But as it stands I am going keep trying the call and hope that the coyotes start to cooperate.

The price makes it a no go for me.

Sorry have better things to spend $ on,I'll stick with my affordable eotech.
