Welcome friends, we're honoring a classic in the Splatoon art community and the 5th anniversary of the Wii U game at the same time.
Today, I bring you the full dub of The Friendly Octoling by Yume's Studio. This comic from Sami took place before Splatoon 2, when speculation for playable octoling characters was high.We got our wish in the end though! Thanks for watching! 😄

Fun Fact: Olivia has a name, and, according to Agent 8’s statement in #14-Crush saying that only important and powerful octolings get names, so basically, Olivia was some kind of really powerful octoling back when she worked for Octavio!

I love how far we've come First, octolings were just the antagonistic force we only dreamed of being able to play as Second, they were introduced as playable thanks to dlc, plus one of the idols was an octoling Now, they're available in the base game and once again one of the idols is an octoling This is truly a win for octolings all over

Octoling version of the Kraken could've been a spinning giant octopus that shoots ink missles from its mouth and with it's tentacles stuck to the ground it spreads ink everywhere it moves, but would move slower than the Kraken and can't jump. It would of been a real octostacle if it was real... *sad veemo noises*

2:32 Poor Inkling players... Nobody knew back then that playing Turf against an Octoling cursed your Splatoon 1 save with a deadly Plaza softlock... Fortunately the Squid Sisters' singing could lift the curse, and now all Octolings who came to the Square and Splatlands in later games were healed by the Calamari Inkantation, so it's fine.

Friendly Octoling : A wonderful little tale of frienship beyond the fights of their forefathers. And with the current events, we can bet Olivia wouldn't need that kettle mask anymore. Ah well, maybe she keeps it on for good luck. ;3 Mmmmh, way to revitalise a classic ! Every line was so full of emotion and life, from you, and Markus, and Samuel ! And that re-roll bit had me laughing (and crying a little. R.I.P. Ultra-Fresh gear.). A job well done ! Thanks, Yume !

@Carver Ze Derp lol I know how that feels, I've been trying to get fully special charge up gear for a while now, but to no avail, but just recently I tried getting a full main pwr up so I could use the bamboozler meme build, and I got full main power up on the shoes, and 2 subs on the shirt, life is unfair.

lol I love how Corey oh so casually mentions 3 even though in-cannon 3's identity is a secret and no one but the cap, the Agents, Marina/pearl and octolings know of 3, which could have 2 meanings, 1 Corey is friends with 3 and 3 told Corey everything or Corey IS 3 and that's why he recognized an Octoling so quickly because in splat2 the Octolings are just presented as Inklings with fun new haircuts, because Marina was afraid of being hated if she came out as an Octoling I'm probably looking WAAAY to into this wholesome comic XD

Idk, while violence and friendliness can be in someone's genes, it has more to do with how someone is raised, or their life experiences. Also, the calamari inkantation probably did a lot of the work in convincing agent 8 that squids arent bad
