I found The Front Bottoms while aimlessly listening to SoundCloud. I ran into the song “Be Nice To Me” and i’d never heard it before. When I went to see the name of the song, I thought it was another one of those comedic songs since the picture was an anime girl reading a book called “how to die.” But, it was catchy so I added it to my playlist. Then I started actually _listening_ to the lyrics and they were really depressing and I found out it wasn’t just a comedic song. I started to listen to that song a lot more often. Then RU-vid recommended me Lone Star. I got hooked on that one too. Slowly RU-vid started recommending me more and more of their songs. Now they’re my favorite band ever :)

Honestly the voice cracks just add to the song- there overall sound just adds to the mood of the song

pretty sure the reason the title says “lipstick covered magnet” is no matter what seems to happen he’s still drawn to her lips :P grr this is literally my favorite song though. (also this song is fucking amazing for us it describes how part of us loves the abuser and some of us hate them. that’s a common occurrence and for anyone who relates you’ve got this, you are not defined by your abuse. ) but yeah, favorite song ever. tons of raw emotion and poetic words, violently calming.
