i mean, in regards to music theory it is relatively simplistic in the grand scheme of experimentation and music in general, however, it is a fucking kick ass song that i absolutely adore.
It’s a great song, but when u break it down (coming from a musician), the guitar riff is a few separate notes all based around a power chord, and the drum beat is simply a disco drum beat mixed with emo influences.
A Smith if the jam sucks that much why take the time out of your day to go search the vid and comment all this negativity... Cmon man....good vibes from ATX✌✌
"Why would you voice your opinion if you don't like something" maybe you'll realize how your comment looks after I cleared that up for you. Also, you didn't even read my comment.
Aidan Mitchell I "can" post whatever I'd like to post. I posted my opinion that happened to have words that some people find offensive. As I said before "offensive" is different for everyone m8. Also Aidan, Neither Flac nor Nathan disagreed with my opinion so I'm not sure what you're saying there.
"And you were mad as hell, you felt if you had done anything with anyone else, it would have worked out so well." I don't know that I've ever heard a better line about the aftermath of a relationship.
+LOTTO what do you mean? these two have been friends for nearly their entire lives and they continue to produce music together. They only continue to seem happier as their band grows, too.
Hard to believe I met them and brian signed my guitar and told me to do something cool with it :') I was shaking I was so nervous but they are so chill.
there isnt a single music video or acoustic video i havent seen where Brian isnt smiling, whether its because hes nervous or genuinely excited theres always a smile
Omg, Scarlett has to be about 8 years old now just like my daughter. I’m glad you taught your kids to have a good taste in music as well. My husband doesn’t care for music or understand why I care so much and that is his biggest red flag. 😢
"There is a map in my room, on the wall of my room, and I've got big, big plans. But I can see them slipping through almost feel them slipping throUGH the palms of my sweaty hands." me as a high school senior rn
the first time i heard this song I was just like oh my god its almost like this song describes everything i hate about myself in an almost positive way and then i wanted to cry
I told my history teacher how much I love this band. We were sitting in class and he puts this on and I literally start crying. I love this band more than anything in the world.
actually if you listen to the lyrics, they are kind of sad and angry. To me it sounds like a break up song. This song did definitely not put me into a good mood.
What about holocaust victims? Would this make them happy? You can't just bring up this hitler shit and expect people not to get mad. Fucking racist homophobe
I can't believe I've never realized how similar these guys are to They Might Be Giants. The resemblance is almost uncanny if you think about it! haha -Both consist of two guys that everyone who has heard of either band knows about, plus a supporting band with a bunch of people nobody really cares about. -Both are/were signed to Bar/None Records -Both play strange, catchy indie rock songs with humorous and slightly cryptic lyrics. -Both use instruments that aren't used very often with the type of music they play. -Both have excellent fanbases -Both are from the same area (TFB are from New Jersey, TMBG are from Brooklyn)
I will forever love these guys. I saw them for the second time live last night and it was incredible to see how much of a difference it was from the first time I saw them live. The first time, no one knew them except for me and a few others and it was fun because of their perfect energy--last night it was a mosh pit of hundreds of screaming fans who knew every lyric to every song. Rock on, TFB. You guys have a long and prosperous career ahead of you. \m/
Everyone always mentions how cute Brian is and how they 'relate' to Brian but in all honesty, personally I think Mat so fucking chill and is actu me (only he is very adorable whereas I am not)
Ok but am I the only one who ADORES the cinematography in this video- I mean the song is amazing as it is but the video paired with it just makes it ten times better
I've seen these guys live 4 times, and each time was in someone's basement or living room. They're both great guys, and the other members that have joined since are also awesome.
Just saw them Saturday and I fell in love immediately. Completely obsessed with all of their music. Love these guys and the dummer absolutely kills it.
Great job guys. I show my friends this song all the time lol. and dad plays this at bourbon street all the time, and jessie plays it at the grasshopper. great song!
