I actually wish that Sturges maybe during the Minutemen questline referred you to the atom cats, to convince them to join the Minutemen and turn the garage into a settlement

Say what you like about the quality of the poetry, but fact is, those cats are the only people who are really making any kind of high culture in the wasteland.

I love how zeke is like, "I fixed up a veribird and crashed it in the ocean" clearly a great mechanic but a HORRIBLE pilot

To hell with the minutemen. To hell with the institute. To hell with the railroad. And TO HELL with the brotherhood. The commonwealth should be for the coolest cats around. The Atom Cats.

Zeke should have been a companion, imagine having a partner with Danse's resistance, Nick's sassy remarks, and Deacon's calm demeanor

Duke- Hear me out: power armor with a jetpack. Nah, it would never work. Oxhorn- *shows X-01 Suit equipped with a working jetpack* No it would never work at all, Duke.

I started laughing so freakin' hard when duke said jet packs won't work and Ox goes into third person

I think tat when Zeke was talking about an underwater power armor race, he was talking about running on the sea floor and not swimming, hence the use of "underwater"

Theyve actually so wholesome omg they have poetry nights and are so supportive of eachother and they have a BED FOR THEIR PET ROBOT LOL

I think the Atom Cats would get along well with the Kings of Freeside.

I wish these guys were a actual faction for the main story of Fallout 4.

He doesn't expect the power armor to swim. He says "underwater" I think he's talking about walking around on the floor of the bay.

Actually one of my favorite smaller factions in the game, they are light-hearted and caring but pretty tough. I wish they had a more involved quest line or that you could recruit them to rebuild the Commonwealth.

I REALLY liked this little story arc...to the point that I wish it wasn't so short. The entire Atom Cats crew are actually DECENT people. You do good by them and they return the favor and then some! This little arc proved that people can be good without being aligned to the Minutemen, or the Railroad. True they are not a major story faction to be joined but they don't need to be. They are Bethesda's way of saying that your typical average person will, if given even half a chance, will respond to a good deed WITH a good deed. True you have to "join" them, they don't pay it forward in your case, but in the world of the Commonwealth paying it forward is dangerous. Letting just anyone into your group is an invitation to disaster. But if you prove that you will help them, and you do (first with the pump, then by coming to their rescue) they welcome you in, give a jacket, and give you a DISCOUNT.

I really wish you could've turned this into a settlement after completing their quests or maybe a few other additional quests for them. Perhaps all the settlers here would adopt "greaser" styles and many would use power armor. I mean, the Slog constantly attracted ghoul settlers. A settlement that constantly attracted greasers would be cool.

What? An underwater race would work though. They'd just be slower.

I was absolutely delighted when I got that custom jacket! Especially because my character is such a Mom (yes, with a capital "M") and these guys seemed to me like they were like really young adults. So the fact that they invited my character to be in the gang and gave her that jacket made her feel like she became a cool mom to a bunch of youngsters. Cheered her up a lot and I got into a habit of wearing that jacket whenever doing some "downtime stuff", like building settlements, chatting with companions in their homes or, yes, fixing/modding the power armors I've collected.

Yes, I realize beer is brewed, not distilled. It was 3AM and I was tired. How is this the #1 topic of conversation in the comments? Yeesh!

Attention to all those who want to make your own atom cats gang at your settlement, but can't find a way to get the jackets: there is a merchant with a bunch of cats north of Walden pond. She sells the jackets, but only 1 at a time.

The Atom Cats inspired me to listen to Greased Lightning every time I work on my Power Armor. Try it out, it’s awesome

It's so sweet how close the Atom Cats are. The Poetry Night tapes really solidify that, how supportive they are of each other's endeavors.

It's funny that you have greasers that can rebuild friggen power armor, but nobody in the post apocalyptic world has figured out basic carpentry and every structure is just nailed together junk. Even the earliest recorded human civilizations didn't live this badly!

I always try to build some sort of Atom Cat Outpost or second base at the Red Rocket Truck Stop and get Sturges, Deacon, Piper and some other people with names there and outfit them with atom cat jackets a shame that Bethesda didin't do more with them

If I lived in the commonwealth, I'd become an atom cat.

I saved peepers at lvl 53 by hacking him and shouting him down before the fight then the gunners won't target him and then reactivate him and he is still alive now

Duke saved me from rad scorpions at level like 12 so that's how I found them haha

you can shut peepers down before the battle if you have the robotics perk which keeps him out of the fight

Quote the Fallout Wiki: "While it is possible that Peepers could be destroyed during the Gunner attack; if one has a rank of the Robotics Expert perk, they can save it by shutting it down or telling it to stay somewhere safe during the attack." Of course, I've yet to try this out.

The Atom Cats are the 'Beatniks' of the Nuclear Age! I like these dudes! They want to keep Hot Rodding alive in an era that has no cars....

I just found out about the atom cats because I was replaying and found duke out and about and I went to their base and talked to them and then I found the holotapes and it made me so happy. It's so wholesome to see them encouraging eachother over poetry. They have such a strong bond and their whole lifestyle is just based around being cool and how it's cool to take care of yourself, your armor, and your friends and family.

Most people forget that Fallout is set in a world where culture got stuck in the 1950s. The Atom Cats are there to remind them that, as post-war greasers. Greasers tune cars, Atom Cats tune power armor. My only acceptable place to hang out in Fallout 4. They sure are the coolest cats in The Commonwealth. You don't like them, you are not a square, you are a cube.

When I first saw the Atom Cats I was like the "Kings" of the Commonwealth, but this Cats are something else

Bluejay's poem was way better than Zeke's. It takes me back, though. There was a creative writing group when I was in high school, and we'd write poetry and share it much like they did in this video. I ended up participating in a competition as a result, where I trash-talked the prom night that I'd skipped to go compete. I even had a rival in the group, this arrogant little brunette who never stopped writing about her dad. There were even people who acted like the Atom Cats-- not with the lexicon, mind you, except that they never stopped saying "cool." Enough of my rambling about poetry. I can tell that Ox enjoyed making this video. I had actually not heard of the Atom Cats before this video, so I'm glad I had my usual lore guide! :3

I met Duke in a random encounter. Scared the Hell out of me when I first saw him. (I was really low level.) Also, do you have any videos planned for the glowing sea? That place is a pain in the ass to explore because of all the the deathclaws.
