Called him out by name like he did all the other rappers, and Drake took it personally and decided to little bro Kendrick and act like he’s not worth responding to. We don’t get to start rewriting history. Drake had over a decade to respond directly. He’s not some genius hero because he got up the nerve to do it a decade later.

Actually Marcellus said they interviewed both back to back not on the same day but then Drake started dogging Kendrick and him and Max Kellerman was like oh this about to be crazy but Drake was hosting the ESPY’s (that’s what that interview was really about) and threatened to pull out if the aired the footage so the interview never dropped.

Kendrick is a chess player, Drake plays checkers, this was over before it began. Both are creative in their own right, so I do believe in giving folks their flowers while they’re living but when it comes to intelligence and artistry, Kendrick wins hands down. He’s on a totally different wavelength mentally and spiritually. Seeing all these people discount him was incredibly disappointing but I don’t think for one moment that Kendrick lost any sleep over their opinions. He came and did what he does best and for Drake, welp, he needs to do damage control. Looking at these people talk, all skin folks are not your kin folk. I’m on the east coast and I love Kendrick’s music.
