JJK is many things. A completed is definitely not one of them; nor I believe this how Gege wanted to finish it.

this isn’t even an ending as there’s so much introduced towards the end that indicate more plot it’s a cliff hanger if anything so as far as “endings” go it’s bad

Found it mediocre as fuck. The anime is probably going to receive the Mappa buff though.

The last chapter is decent (Gojo and Sukuna parts carried). But the ending as whole has too many things underdeveloped to be satisfying, so underwhelming. I would have traded the simple domain lore for more character focus from the main cast in the battle aftermath. Better transition off the heaviness of the war and more acknowledgment of fallen comrades' sacrifice like Gojo before the lighthearted tone.

I love jjk, honestly it may have my favorite cast of anime characters of all time from Toji, kenjaku, yuta, Gojo ect and the world that Gege built is amazing. That being said I can't help but feel Gege left alot of meat on the bone and it felt a bit rushed. I can't help but wonder how burnt out Gege is right now

The ending wasnt bad like the one from SNK or my hero but it definitely was mid,average, an ok ending at best. Gojo/Yuji and Sukuna/Mahito conversation was the best part of it especially Sukuna's

While I do agree that there are issues. I feel like a lot of the complaints about the ending are about people not getting what they wanted. It wasn’t Gege’s job to give you what you wanted. It was his job to tell his story, which he did. Personally, I felt the ending was underwhelming outside of Sukuna admitting his loss and choosing a new way to live in the next life. It left me asking “that’s it?” Still an amazing story nonetheless.

The fact people care “coping there will be a JJK part 2” indicates this story didn’t give a satisfying ending, as people are convincing themselves there MUST be more to this story.

if Yuji had said "nah I'd win" it would have saved the whole ending

7/10 for me. 6/10 when I remember how bad Kenjaku was done. The ending was not bad. I have been saying people were setting themselves up for failure when people thought a part 2 was coming without an announcement. Well, onto the next manga.

I genuinely find these ending chapters good enough. So many manga series, TV shows as of Late have crapped the landing for ending their series. JJK while not perfect did something good enough to where I don't have many complaints. The characters essentially are still the characters I been reading.

I disagree, this ending seemed very empty to me and didn't explain practically anything about the jujutsu world.

The story is a 10/10 but the ending is 4/10. 1. Gege brought up shadow style technique in the end moments of the chapter, what happened to that? no more information about it was given. 2. The recent chapters gave information about clans in jjk world fighting for power. Again no more information related to that after Mei killed the old woman. 3. Tengen's barrier collapsing is a threat to the entire JJK world. All curses will eventually leak into the world once the barrier is broken. This is like a Sukuna level threat and yet no information was given about it. 4. What really happened to Gojo's body? the last time we saw his body was during the time Yuta was using it and fell because of exhaustion while fighting Sukuna. 5. Kenjaku looks like a fool when trying to attempt to cause the "merger". No information was given about the merger during the end moments. While the Cursed World (something that Kenjaku mentioned) was never brought up or explored after Kenjaku mentioned it. There it is. JJK was truly the best anime i have ever read. But the ending just doesn't do it justice. Sukuna's conclusion is good and it made me happy knowing that he chose his path. But that is the only good thing about the ending.

I enjoyed your brief breakdown of the end. I don't think Gege was ever interested in answering all our questions or completely fleshing out the world. It was a coming of age story in a shonen setting. How we deal with loss and what gives life meaning were the most important questions to him. However I can understand a shonen/battle manga audience wanting more.

I think the issue with the entire community reactions (aside from the fact the JJK community varies wildly from toxic af to chill af) is that for a lot of people this is their first manga they've followed week-by-week. What other mediums give you a tiny snippet of content every week? JJK manga will probably always be cursed by the fact that so many people first experienced it in the Gojo Sukuna fight. I've found the ending of JJK to be really enjoyable. I liked the NSS lore, it answered some cool questions about how Yuji learned it and some hints Meimei dropped. I feel like people feel underwhelmed because they were barraged with hours of theory crafting and reaction content between each chapter, how could Gege actually live up to that? Everything was a hint to something else. Every tiny detail was exposition. My view on how the manga would end has changed so much and I've been so wrong with so many things, but I enjoyed the story as it unfolded. Gege placed some cool hints (Gojo return, Yuta not dead, who actually predicted Yuta would copy Kenjaku's technique?) throughout the story and, I'd say, the vast majority of actual hanging questions posed by Gege have been answered. True there's a few unanswered questions, and a huge number of potential directions to go, but there's never shame in leaving a story hanging. I think everyone who's complaining would also say they've enjoyed the story of JJK in its entirety. If someone's only issue is what isn't in the story, then I just think they need to reevaluate their perspective away from consume consume consume. Also, content creators and readers in pretty much all JJK communities seem to forget that we aren't the target audience. The money JJK generates and the primary audience is in Japan. Gege isn't motivated by the English speaking fandom and I'd be astounded if he was even slightly aware of the reaction in the English speaking JJK community. It's almost laughable when people who literally consume JJK as leaked content and don't actually pay for it somehow think they're the customer here 🤣

The ending was a 8/10 for me manga was 10/10 I enjoyed the ending of everyone and it was nice I’m gonna support his next work peak video from you! Can’t wait for more content (jjk part 2 cope)

I think in many ways it's a complete story. This flashback makes it seems like Gojo really knew he was going to lose to Sukuna. I love the line about confidence. It makes me think of "Nah, I'd win." I also love the line about "haven't we had enough of Gojo Satoru." Definiltey, a jab at fans, haha. But I think the real confidence was in seeing the possibility of his dream coming true. That's why they needed to have this silly arc with the weird-face curse user. So Yuji could show kindness to him and show the Gojo really had changed the nature of Jujutsu society.

Ending was trash, we gotta stop glazing Gege.. he fumbled not once but many times on a great story.. JJk is the Game of thrones of Mangas

Ppl started having an agenda since the Gojo vs Sukuna fight. In a way I hated how the series popularity sky rocketed cz most ppl stopped reading the manga and started creating their own head canon of how events SHOULD go. Loved the ending except how Kenjaku was handled but jjk is 4ever a masterpiece 👏

I'm sure you will have a lot of grief thrown your way for enjoying this ending, but I find your thoughts can bring a greater understanding and meaning to it especially highlighting some of the 'full circle' plot points I missed on the initial read through. I liked it but didn't like this chapter as much as some others in the five chapter finale, but at least Fushiguro lived. I had feared his death and knew it would send me into a tailspin as I wanted the younger generation to be successful in changing the 'doomed' nature of the world of curses and sorcerers. Now that the trio is back together I'm just sad that I can't read them and Higuruma's adventures on a monster-of-the-month sorcerer mission series :( Thank you for your heartwarming videos and sharing this interesting journey with all of us.

People can keep lying to themselves all they want but this was objectively a terrible ending for an otherwise wonderful manga.

How can a story be 10/10 and perfect if it was never finished? HxH and Vagabond aren't finished YET (btw Hxh is my favourite manga and anime of all time), while Dragon Ball did finish and EVERY time that it did finish it was perfect. Call me a nostalgia watcher but if you actually deep the series and read it as intended and not just watch clips or abridged you'll realise the same conclusion I came to. It's perfect.

If there was a time skip to when Yuji is now 18 or something, graduates school school and becomes a teacher of his own class, but then the forgotten plot points come back like the culling games, merger, Kenjaku’s will being taken up, then we could have a real ending. There was all this set up for all kinds of things but it’s like Gege just didn’t care enough to see it all through to a realistic and satisfying conclusion. If this was the end of Part 1 and there was a timeskip and a Part 2 like who Part 1 Naruto had the side plot of the Akatsuki which didn’t become relevant until part 2 then it would be all fine and dandy and I would like this “lull in the action” interlude “ending” but that isn’t what it is it’s just a hastily and forcefully shoving the lid down on what is an unfinished story, that’s how I feel, what about you?

Gege could have had a dragon ball, naruto, one piece kind of project on his hands but he failed in so many areas. JJK will go down as the biggest what if in anime history. The story telling got extremely choppy after the gojo sukuna fight and i never truly was invested in any character like i shouldve been because gege refuses to dive deep into 90% of his characters. Also maki character being sacrificed to becoming a toji clone didnt sit right with me. Well, it is what it is 6/10

I think the Journey was amazing we had a lot of fun amazing animation generational fight , real good villains really fleshed out characters , the ending by itself I think is good I like the vibe , I just feel some heian era exposition , Hakari Uraume, the world reaction to cursed energy , gojos funeral , December 24th ending would be Poetic, 15 - 20 more chapters I feel would have added a little more fuller experience and closed a few more open plot holes. But like Ryu I ate well.

One thing I noticed is that when Sukuna decides to think about change, him and Uraume walk towards the top of the page (north) while Mahito faces towards the bottom of the page (south). I may be coping because I ultimately didn’t like the ending, but I thought that was really cool.

GEGE wanted to end on a high note probably, cant wait for the next work. (hopefully another battle type)

5:35 - I think it's more that Gojo wasn't an egotistical idiot, so a contingency in the event of him losing. Not that he thought he would inevitably lose beforehand (there's narration later on in the fight of him realizing he really could lose while in it in ch 233 like that was him actually facing that reality initially then). But he knew that it was more wise to invest in others in the long run than just himself, so he did those things in advance for them. He didn't have complete ego in himself like before - thus his confidence is less in himself than normal for his usual ego and more in the others, in particular Yuji, for the future. A last bit of great character development from Gojo.

I rly think Gege will continue the story. So many weird choices that lead me to believe it ain't completely over. I really could see him making an entire volume dedicated to Sukuna's past. But, who knows. Maybe not

If I have to go back and read over the series to feel satisfied with the ending or understand the ending the author failed. 90% of people including myself will not read over JJK to understand the ending.

Gege left soo many holes before ending the series that I don’t see how it’s completed. I know he can’t wrap up every thread but the ones he could have he didn’t even attempt. He dropped the proverbial ball with this manga.

Sukuna with both 10 shadows adaption was Gojo’s only weaknesss. People keep skipping that 😒. I think Gojo knew he would lose because he fighting Meguma. As in Sukuna with 10 shadows which he told Meg that they killed each other in previous generations.

I felt most of the characters got decent endings but the story itself did not. A lot of issues comes back to kenjuku plot. I thought the last chapter was good. But the last bit of the story and the last 5 chapters especially weren’t handled the best

This was a mid ending for me. I wish Yuji had more of a closing to be honest. Sukuna being my favorite character though, this chapter was perfect. Learning that Sukuna acted for revenge, and that revenge was his nature as a response to Mahito claiming he wasn’t living as he claimed to have been. He acknowledged Yuji’s ideals, and decided to live a normal life with Urarame if he got another chance. Tsukumo and Urarame tried to teach him about love. Urarame was the only character he has shown any kind of favor towards. He took his loss, learned about love from Yuji, and decided to change. He was just too stubborn to do so.

This last chapter was Ass. Stop saying it’s good just cause Gege said this how he wanted to end it. Cool, he ended how he wanted to end it. He ended still ass. Ain’t no way Sukuna final words was cursing Yuji and saying don’t trust him… then out of nowhere wants to choose a different path. No dialogue of maybe his ways should’ve changed, no real genuine notice of his ideals even coming through? Like mahito had to be the one to say “oh you were really just tryna get revenge” like the whole unwanted child thing had no build up. No impact. Fell flat. Kenjaku as a villain fell flat. The only thing that hit was the Gojo to Yuji line of, have a power different from mine. And even then, that was kinda mid.

Even gojo being like "yo, move on from me, theres more to this world than just gojo satoru" feels like a nessage to fan base the way the post fight recap was. Also yuji saying there's no execution is beautiful since both he and yutas execution is how the series started. The cycle is broken

I personally really enjoyed the ending an while obviously its not perfect I still think its good, while others might think the opposite an thats okay, everyone is entitled to there own opinions. I just wish more people would understand this instead of just spewing out negativity and hateing on people who did enjoy it. While again it was not perfect an there are somethings I would have personally loved to see that we missed out on, its not my story to tell its Geges an if hes happy then im conent. I understand everything is subjective but sometimes your grasping/coping trying to believe that your favorite anime is still good when realistically it was a filled with plot holes and the ending is definitely trash..

Manga authors are responsible for giving their customers a good story / ending; People are buying a product. Readers are responsible giving the author support via money & trust. If he wanted to write it any way he wants without any sense of duty to readers, than he shouldn't have started selling it for $ You gain a responsibility to the people buying your story once you start selling your story for $; Consumer rights are a thing

Not sure what people were expecting tbh. I'm happy Gege wrote things in a way so the door was open (also literally open in Sukuna's 20th finger shrine). They're obviously "oversights" of the cast, but fun nods to the characters and the ways the story began and developed. I'm sad that it's over, but JJK brought so much joy into my life I'm so glad it happened. Bittersweet..
