Thank you today for The Fasting and Prayer Bible study. By the way it is now 2024. I have been watching and listening to you since 2023 and I find your sermons and bible studies very good more than very good You are att the top with Billy Graham David Wilkerson and a few others that are alive❤ But seriously I have asked some Minister's on You Tube to do a service on Fasting Because I really didn't understand why we fast. I can say now after listening to your Bible study I can understand it. I am so thankful for your other sermons as well and am glad I found you on You Tube. It's very hard to find a true and sincere pastor however you're saying at the beginning of each service I teach from the Bible I stay in the Bible and I close in the Bible made a tremendous impact on me and that's why I will continue to watch and listen to you on You Tube along with the other few. Pastor Tiff, I thank God for crossing my paths with your teachings. In all my life I couldnt understant Fasting and prayer, but now I do. I am going to start with 1day Biblical fast and prayer as your said and receive the blessings God has for me and grow in my faith with God, God bless you!

Thank you Bro. Tiff for the sermon on fasting. I have almost never fasted our church never expressed the need for fasting for a day maybe but never for many days. Many of your church’s in the South enjoyed eating too much to do without many days

thanks brother Tiff. Good sound advice. For listeners - Jesus did a 'normal' solid food fast for 40 days but was led to do so by the Holy Spirit. Moses did a fourty day total fast twice with a day or so between. But once again that was ordered by God. Elijah did a forty day fast but was energized by bread supplied by an angel in two simple meals with sleep between; he walked in the strnegth of that food for fourty days. And this was because he had a massive task to fulfill required by God.

Thank you so much for educating me on not just the types of fasts but the duration, a Jewish fast, not letting anyone guilt trip me in to a dangerous extended fast - its very common here in Nigeria, the proper attitude of prayer and fasting, the number of times to pray a day, exercising after so I don't gain a whole bunch of weight, how to properly fast from food and not the other nonsense like tech & social media - somehow i knew that was ridiculous. I'm glad i understand how to fast biblically. I will be starting what i learned in a few days :)

My Question , is it OK for a woman during her menstruation periods continue with Fasting and Prayer? Thanks again. From Uganda

I've heard it postulated that the reason Satan tempted Jesus to "turn the stone into bread" was that he knew: 1. Jesus was extremely hungry on the 40th day of His fast. And 2. That eating a loaf of bread after a 40 day fast could kill Him. Of course, the Creator of heaven and earth knew that and wasn't having any of Satan's trickery.

Ewe food in a blender and drinking it 🤢 but I have never done fasting and now I want to, but fasting it no food just water, if you fast to get blood work from your doctor, you can’t have anything so I would think fasting is no food 🤷‍♀️

In the Bible, there are several ways to fast. Technically, fasting is simply remove something physical to get closer to the spiritual. It can be no water no food, it can be only liquid (no matter what kind of liquid), only certain type of food (only fruits and vegetables for example). However you can also fast while removing distractions, technology, your phone, your social life... for a few days. It's all about removing things that are a huge part of your life to focus on the Lord

In extreme situations, difficult circumstances, fasting is not forbidden, rather throughout the Bible it is encouraged. Jesus said in Matthew 6 - "WHEN" you pray. There are two things about timing to consider: 1. the Holy Spirit can lead you into a fast and prayer time, as was the case with Jesus as He came out of the Jordan. The Holy Spirit drove and led Him into the wilderness to face temptation, as the Gospels, - Matthew Mark and Luke indicate. 2. you can choose to fast and pray whenever you are ready to make that decision. Some ladies may think they cannot do it till they are over their time. Others don't let it stop them. So you have freedom in the Lord. Another thing you must consider is to you drink good water (Tiff speaks about that) filtered if possible, or rain water. Or, steamed - distilled water through evapouration. Drink at least 2 litres over the day especially in the early part, more in warmer weather and I would recommend warm water if you can obtain it, and a little pinch of sea salt. If you are losing fluid you need to make it up. The psalmist says - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on yourown understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and HE SHALL DIRECT your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 This can apply in the circumstances you descibe. Jesus loves you greatly sister, and He is your Good Shepherd who will lead you into green pastures and gentle waters and a fruitful life in and FOR Him.
