What to say? He was born poor, but with his velvet voice, he became the man was in life...his voice still echoes through the time...those who knew him, can till today testify how great he was...the best singer ever.
Barry White was one of the most beautiful romantic singing I've ever known my mother was so crazy about him she's playing him a lot tears to you Barry may you rest in peace my brother see you one day and I haven't even having one day please the legendary house twins can't encourage peace my brother
He was the First, the Last, Everyting!! Never born again, like this man, like this magical voice............................ Thank You very much Mr.White, for your songs, for your life!! R.I.P.
His distinctive prolific baritone silky voice is one of kind, his melodic arrangement of tone and instruments was nothing short of masterful. His genius of R & B grown folks music is something that i don't hear coming back. So happy he left his mark in the music industry, he left us with beautiful music to enjoy a lifetime.
Jocelyn Carter: OMG! I do missed this beautiful , talented man. Every once in awhile I would listen to his music, with a wine glass in my hand, in front of the fireplace, and dream that Barry came back just to sing to me. Rest in peace Barry.
I cannot think of one single song I did not like, everything Barry produced was wonderful, iam now 68 and I absolutely loved all his songs, I still listen to his calming music with so much love, oh what a terrible loss, god bless you for being here to experience your incredible self RIP Barry.
We will never, ever have a musician sing anywhere close to Barry White in this lifetime! I dearly miss him creating and singing his music!! That "voice" just gets into your soul! Rest and sing to the "Angels" in Heaven!!

He could sing his way through a telephone book, and we would all melt at the sexiness of it all. His voice was truly unique. Truly beautiful. I wish he had lived a much longer life. Bless him!
_Loved Barry's Music_ ! Love that baritone voice of his 🧡..He left us way too soon. *GOD* be with you in Heaven and watch over his family and friends...Amen...⛪✝
Barry was a charismatic vocalist with his unique, sensuous vocal tone. Back in the day, if you were on the dance floor and Barry's voice emerged from the speakers, the girl (or the boy) you were jiving with was yours! He was a vocal aphrodisiac with the sexiest voice God ever created.
He's in my mind and heart. I listen to his music everyday. I have two of his CDS, I listen on Pandora and RU-vid. I dance to Let the Music Play, Never Goin to Give You Up and My First, My Last My Everything when I do my dinner dishes. He will never leave my life. His voice speaks to me in my happy times, lonely times and sad times. I thank God for his special talents that Barry shared doing his lifetime. Blessings Always Ms. P.
I’ve seen him twice in concert…. Probably the best memories I have with my family! We all went to go see him both times and danced in the isle!!! Thank you 🙏 for the memories 😊
I will forever miss the Grest Maestro. I love his music. I was so saddened when he got sick. I didn't want him to go. 😭 Some of my friends know me as the gal who played Barry White's music to death. He's in heaven now knowing he made me and millions of other people happy RIP Maestro.

Barry came to my city Providence RI during our blizzard of '78 the show was cancelled but he came back strong with the orchestra one of his best concerts. I guess he love RI he came back again I was there. It felt like he was singing to me. I feel in love with Barry when I was in the 7th grade and he was my man in my head lol. But I'm still listening and loving Barry. Rest In Paradise Barry love you forever 💝🌹💯🙏🎼🎵🎶🎙
Sure do miss him. I couldn't handle listening to this video with his ohhh so wonderful voice, it gripped me with too much pain at the moment. The Unique and Never to be Forgotten Barry White.
Rest in Heaven my second dad Barry! I grew up listening to you as if you were living in my household and still to this day listen and feel like yur there. you and my dad are both gone now rest in Heaven daddy ! I hope you are together with the maestro. Both looking down on us. ❣️💔
Another major facet to his genius was his understanding of music. This allowed him to write, arrange, produce, record, etc. to manage all aspects of his records. IMO the arrangements are particularly brilliant. His use of strings, female background vocals, harmony, counterpoint, etc.-- were so masterful. Also, he was self-taught and could not read music --according to reports I've read.
At 52 years of age...💚* I most definitely remember my Father bringing home two 45 records: One was from a female group called the Emotions😍 and the other disk was Mr. Barry White😍, on one side was the song, "Ecstasy" I can't remember the song on the other side; {but, it was my first* experience of playing on my Father's record player knob turning A.M F.M. Turntable...} And I WAS IN HEAVEN😊😍!
I disagree with you on that, he had reached his full potential many times over, he just had a problem maintaining it in his later years, his personal life and financial matters definitely put a toll on him, in his autobiography he tells the story of his older brother who Barry was close to in the street life teenage years, they both did minor crimes, while Barry found success in his music his brother still ran the streets and stayed in and out of jail, it's sad that out respect for his brother he never told anyone that Barry was his brother, and most of all never asked Barry for money, that's why even to the day Barry died it tore him up tremendously when he found out his brother was killed over a 5 dollar bag of marijuana, Barry said, why didn't he call me.
Barry White was a World Class Act! Loved by Americans AND friends all over the world. There will never be another Barry. Gone, but definitely never forgotten. ❤️ 🌹🎼🎶
Have hit Greatest Hits LP. Became a household word in the mid 70's with a string of big hits by him & also produced by him. He left us way too soon. Tragic loss to the music world.
My uncle Wah Wah Watson played for Barry back in The day and my friend and mentor Gerald Levert wrote several songs for him including Practice What You Preach! RIP to Barry, Wah Wah Watson, Gerald and Sean Levert!!!!!!!
I love Mr. Barry White and The Teddy Bear Mr. GEARLD LAVERT RIP ALL THREE OF U! GOD BLESS YOU ALL RIH HALLELUJAH THANK GOD FOR BLACK KINGS THE RESPECT OF UR BLACK QUEENS PEACE AND LOVE TOO YA!
I truly enjoyed this video. In my opinion, there isn’t anyone today that compares to Barry White. The music that is currently being played on the radio is not what I would call as good. It would be nice if there was a Barry White exhibit in a museum. I would definitely visit. I truly loved his music. I often listen to Barry White while I’m in my car. If I am having a difficult day, listening to Barry White changes my whole mood. The world will never have another person quite like him. RIH Mr Barry White. I truly admired your music. 💛💐💛💐💛💐💛💐💛💐
I feel in love with my husband while listening to Barry White music, that he sent me telling me how he felt about me. I will always remember. My husband has gone to be with the Lord now, but Barry White will always be special in the music world to me. R.I.P Barry
Hello , i am a very big fan of maestro mr barry white, 17 years after his death, why no one leaned over the sunet to make a film telling the life of the maestro which will last more than 3 hours if necessary. mick jagger the well done for james brown, when will the biography of barry. he fully deserves it, he is for me the greatest songwriter and performer and producer of all time
Barry White,The KING OF SMOOTH,SILK and the ESSENCE of MESMERIZING.....A TRUE LEGEND,gone but never forgotten. There is and will be only one Barry White.
Meee too!!! He was the sexiest voice I've had the pleasure of listening and still do! Those were the best times of my life when I used to play my cassette of him at the gym, I'd just let his voice take me over while jogging, and let it put my mind into a sheer ecstasy.
