So hitting someone under a block at their legs gives you more range while they can’t hit you it’s the Pythagorean theorem which is (a) squared plus (b) squared is equal to (c) squared. Now obviously since they are a block above you, you are hitting them on the (a) length or the (b) length (depending on where the hypotenuse is) which means they are hitting you on the (c) length which means they have to hit you longer cuz the square root of (c)squared is where they are hitting you whereas you are hitting them from a shorter range. The connections between you and the poor guy on the block make a right triangle (a triangle with one angle that is 90 degrees) so theoretically they shouldn’t be able to or have a harder time hitting you.
