For folks outside the UK, the context of Spirit Level Bubbles is a very old prank usually associated with workers within the construction/manufacturing industry wherein the new guy is sent down the shops to procure something that does not exist; i.e. Nail Holes, Rainbow Paint, ect.
@@SaveDataTeamfor extra reference, a spirit level is the tube with liquid (mineral spirit) in it, and the bubble is used to eyeball if something is level. Obviously, just buying the bubble part of the entire contraption is impossible.
I like the kinda romeo and juliet thing that happens, tiny toms tiny pie and big rons and sons. I think the girl florence(flo has 3 jobs)brought her boyfriend Rob (mop and bring pie filling) i think before the bed ridden boy who likes soup and has superstrechy arms. Number 2 you can catch 2 instances of love making occurring. The mechanic fixing the fish &chips ladies pipes. And the kind couple that invites mc to have soup(bed ridden super long arm)
Generally, I’m not big on absurdist humour. But I was enjoying watching this to the end and all the jokes just landed for me. I even when back a bit just to watch some of the jokes again.
As a British guy, I can confirm that this game is so full of little references and British-specific jokes. It's amazing to see things like JML and words like "Tosspots" in something like this. Also, at 1:12:52, I burst out laughing at the diss against Sheffield, as I'm currently living there.
Put the video on in the background while I cooked dinner, but the absolute bananas lines I heard from both the game and you guys convinced me to suggest it to my husband to play, even if we trade off controls or couch watch each other. 😂
57:50 when he says the numbers going higher he means the channels, first it gets more irreverent(the first few channels are BBC channels which are news channels), then he reaches the telemarketing channels, and then of course he eventually reaches the high numbered channels with the ladies on the phone… which is of course describing babestation and other channels dedicated to well… phone sex
We absolutely loved it. I'm still thinking about some of the jokes, and how almost none of them translate to telling someone who hasn't played the game about them lol

omg I can't believe I missed you guys streaming this! If you ever wondered what a northern English town is like this game is it. It's specifically based on Yorkshire where I'm from by the looks of it. Barnsworth is so clearly a play on Barnsley a town there and there's even a dig at Sheffield the main city near me. there's a rose on the van with the 'drunk driver' sticker that's the Yorkshire rose symbol as well. It's Weirdly nostalgic for me, even Roy's house is exactly the type of house I've been in before with all the war memorabilia and the old carpet I know how it smells (minus the chimney soot) as weird as that sounds lmaoo
It makes me so happy how many times I'll see a game I'm interested in, and shortly after, that you guys are playing it. LOVED this game. I KNEW I recognized A Shell in a Pit as being responsible for much of the music behind Wandersong, but looking up to double-check, they're apparently EXTREMELY prolific. Just to name a few, they did audio for Night in the Woods, Goodbye Volcano High, Inkenfell, and Zak's favorite title, Untitled Goose Game!
I hate the insinuation that Rog's mother actually fucking died after giving birth to him. Also noticed Tom's Tats the sign shows he's got to keep a 10 metre distance from children... yikes.
