That guy at the end has to be the funniest audience member I've seen! I've never seen someone go to a comedy performance with the goal of megatrolling the comedian!
Yeah, picture framing can be EXPENSIVE. Most of the money goes to the matting, basically matching the right colors, textures, and layering options for taking the picture that you're given and making it stand out. I think we paid $150 to get a framing and matting done for a piece I drew in college that was 17 inches by 24 inches. And that was only with 3 layers of matting. And if the person doing it knows what they're doing they can cut the matting at different angles to get different colors out of the materials. And it can really elevate the picture. But I've seen people who didn't know what they were doing and have actually damaged the picture or ruined a piece of art trying to do something outside their skill set. My hands aren't as steady anymore, so I'm not able to do the more detailed work involved, but twenty years ago I could have. Anymore I only doodle because of the fibro. But it led me to what I do for a living these days. Custom Pornographer. (grins)
Ok that last guy was incredible 😂😂😂 I was really getting worked up, I was going to have to share this story of these psychopathic tendencies with the world, I thought “oh my followers need to hear about this one” 😂 …and they still do bc that was funny af
I think the reason is that some people really have no damn skill when it comes to simple crafting stuff so they just let someone else handle it. Also plenty of people think "You get what you pay for" and then pay a lot for something and are convinced it means they got a lot of value.
These dudes sound like they're running a profitable business with nearly no overhead, so well done for them. Their work just won't be featured in museums or art galleries but who cares? I know plenty of people who cannot hang artwork on 2 nails. It requires some skill to get both nails (or screws) level, to adjust the wire so the art doesn't fall forward, to do the math to hang the center of the art at eye level, make sure you don't put a nail through a pipe, etc. Not my career, but I've got those skills and unfortunately my step-dad does not, so I have to hang everything at my mom's house always. Of the times I've been busy and she let him use power tools, I've had to come and repair the holes in the walls and re-hang the towel bar or curtain rod that pulled right out of the wall. Last time I looked at her and said, "Why did you let him buy power tools?" Oh and the one time where all he needed was 2 thumb tacks to hang a large but light canvas, he had a comically large nail that left a deep scratch in the pocket door, which was hilarious because I had to remove it. They were like, "Don't open that door, it'll make the scratch worse." And that dude flies airplanes for a living, but don't worry most of us can't afford to fly in those kinds of airplanes and we could all afford for there to be a few less CEOs in the world, amiright?
I'm gonna stick up for my man who was the helicopter avionics engineer... I was an Air Force Aerospace Engineer (Mech). Our fellow here was my counterpart: Aerospace Engineer (Elec). His job is akin to auto-electrician if mine was akin to auto-mechanic. If his job paid like mine, the helicopter fixer-guy is on good coin. Better money than the comic 😉.
I thought I already had a favorite Australian comedian named Luke, but move over Heggie, you've got some serious competition! I usually tend to prefer cleverly written jokes, but who needs that when you have this magic?
No Luke. People who fix cars are called: Pavel Beaters; Auto electricians; Mechanics; Etc. So he's more like the auto electrician of helicopters than the helicopter mechanic. Pretty simple.
YESSSS A LONG VIDEO thank you I don’t watch tv or streaming services, I only play stand up comedy on RU-vid, and I do so while I do household and mom things lol and I run out of things to watch fast, and most comedians I like only post shorts
