Most talented musicians. Each song as equally beautiful to the next. Iv been a fan sence childhood. You're songs have made me reflect on life, dance, laugh and cry. Iv self thought myself to play the piano accordion thanks to your genius music. ❤❤ I'd run away with Finbar if he would have me 🙂🥰❤
There is quite a journey through those songs and I do think the accordion suits them very well. I have fond memories of some nice accordion players over the years.
Saw them at Cambridge folk festival in the 70's, when they were calling themselves Tam Linn. They were fantastic. Finbar's son, aged about 6, showed me how how to play Planxty Irwin on the tin whistle, then took us to their caravan. Finbar welcomed us in and gave us posters and stickers. Lovely guy.
Finbar’s wearing my ring! Gold claddagh ring. Presume it’s his wedding ring. This song is breathtakingly beautiful. Guaranteed to make me cry. So early in the morning too. Aw. Wonderful.
When I went to Dublin I had to learn to speak very slowly so the south Dubliners at TCD could understand me. Northerners speak too fast according to the southerners. I used to live very near Ballyfermot 82-84. Never met these brothers in the pubs. Unfortunately.
