Had to look them up but you're right. Kind of disappointing, I was hoping for a cool and functional American made 2011 for us poors but nope. I'm still curious to see more of this gun though. That grip just looks huge though...
Recently here in Germany, inexpensive but still good looking 1911s popped up made by "Messerschmitt". Never heard of the company in the gun world. Turns out they're just rebranded TISAS. Disgusting.
@@roaringsteelmedia I dunno about their 2011s but the Caniks actually run. I have ran the piss out of my Rival and had literally zero malfunctions with it. I'm around 7,000 rounds deep on mine but there are lots of competition people who have way more than that. I'd like to see how their 2011s play out, so far they seem subpar but I haven't seen anyone complaining about reliability specifically. More so bad triggers, poor texture, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they're not reliable but Tisas has made some OK single stack 1911s in the past from what I've heard.
@@armorers_wrench but Canik took a while to get there. Just like Holosuns are great these days. Foreign companies need time to double down and go from cheap copy to market leader in affordable, foreign made stuf. And i'm not sure this one is there yet.
@@thephantomzoneboxing correct, but what would stop Glock from thinking there are so many companies producing products that utilize our magazine. And Glock is known for their mag reliability. Upcharge the product in demand. They haven’t really brought anything earth shattering to their product line in years. Their company policy seems to be keep the reliability the main thing.
Thank you for importing an "optics ready" handgun that has the necessary plates that come with it to truly make it optic ready. More than I can say than my Dan Wesson Specialist, that claimed it was optics ready. I have the optic, but since they released the handgun and didn't bother making the necessary plates readily available or included, it is in fact NOT optics ready.
The Platypus is really cool but this is going to come in quite a bit cheaper and without the crazy long (but totally justifiable) lag time of the Platypus
All talking about being Turkish, suport local Apollo11 1911 ds. Im getting one 5 inch or compact, but I haven't decided yet. I already got my money down on it at my local gun store. Good luck to everyone. God bless us all.
This is sick!! This might be my first foray into 2011’s since 2011 mags are insanely expensive, I already own a shit ton of Glock mags, and I live in a limited state so 2011 limited mags are just ridiculous to obtain.
I have run the dog shit out of my Caniks thinking they were going to be cheap Turkish trash a few years quite a few thousands of rounds later i appreciate the few quality pistols that are coming in at decent price points ... The hard part is the trial and error to figure it out
Wonder what it would take to swap the grip module from this or the platypus to a staccato or similar & what else would need done to convert to inexpensiveglock mags? Glock mag 2011 pistols for 1k or less would be THE game changer. Platypus starts at 1400 while this is about 400 less. Will Fusion be the one to bring the market down to a more reasonable level? Hopefully if they can keep it the cheapest glock mag 2011 on the market.
I have my platypus, im good on a glock mag 1911 ds. Also have a prodigy that I got for around the same price, and 2 Tisas ds 1911s that combined are about the same price. Mags aren't that bad, i've found 20 round prodigy mags for about $30 out there. id go with the Mac 9 over this personally, considering you can get it for around $800 or so if you look around and are patient.
For everyone in the comments trashing this pistol. I stopped by there booth and spoke with them. They said they were codeveloping the pistol with Ermox. Also on the flyers they were handing out it says 2 innovators one pistol and has Ermox and Fusion on the flyer. I felt it and it was smooth as butter and trigger was awesome. If it functions well its going to be an awesome pistol for the price.
Ermox already developed it and presented it at IWA. I am not sure what Fusion has added to the mix other than importing and probably marketing. Maybe they will further develop the 5" models but this current one is not theirs.
guessing everybody knows this is the imported version that we saw last year from turkey. I still like the idea and pricing isn't bad so who knows. plus, Glock mags are being used for all sorts of stuff I don't own a Glock but have serval mags for an ar9.
So I see the comments about this being a Turkish gun. What’s wrong with that? Are they crap or good? Because for the price and the money saved with Glock mags it seems like a great price for what you get.
Pretty disappointed hearing from Ermox at IWA thinking they were going to keep it under a 1000.00. They team up with Fusion and there goes that idea. I was excited because I love my Xfire and wanted this gun but not so much now. I mean I can get a Girsan 2311 10mm for less.
When I stopped by, they said they were still deciding to go with a flat or curved and that they were still working on the red dot plate designs. In the video they said that they are using the prodigy plates but when I talked to them they said they were still working on it..... who knows. Either way it felt awesome in the hand and I will be getting one when they drop.
@@brandon4383. The steel wall 2011 mags are wider than the thick plastic Glock mags? Do the steel mags have more capacity?I've never compared the two in my hands at the same time so I'll take your word for it.
@brandiwynter the walls are not thicker, the mags are just longer front to back hecause they are designed to also feed .38 super. Staccato does make a pistol that uses a proprietary mag that is sized for 9mm and those mags are a lot smaller but its not a standard 2011
When they make one that's under 1000$, I'll give a shit Until then I'm just going after the Platypus, seems way better and you can personalize it. Is it over 1000$? Yeah, but with what you can get out of it, it's well worth the price to me Also just from looking at the two, the Platypus even just looks more reliable And theyre honest too Unlike these guys, trying to pass off an import as if they made it Fuck that company
Doesn’t make sense. You want it to be under 1k but you’re also saying you’re looking at a gun that costs 500 more. At that point just buy a Bul Armory 2011.
@@ch3cksund3ad I didn't say I didn't understand. I said what you said doesn't make sense - it's contradictory. There's a distinct difference in those two statements. You basically contradicted yourself. Like I said, you want the gun to e under 1K but then point to a Platypus as an option, that's definitely nowhere close to $1000.
2azone sells the stealth arm platypus which takes glocks mags and is better than this , you can customize like crazy too Portside munitions sells some 2011s Kovert projects sells 2011s All those shops have ca legal options. Source. I’ve bought from them.
@@DinoNucciare you implying that owning a pistol that does not shoot 9mm is a ridiculous notion and you cannot fathom why anyone would want to do such a thing? That can't be real..just can't be. Where the hell are you going with this? I really am confused by your obvious feigned confusion and need to ask why like you cannot for the life of you figure the answer to that all on your own. This is obviously an attempt to demean the desire for buying different pistols that have different roles and are meant for doing different things. I cannot for the life of me figure out why you would have any desire in you whatsoever to do such a thing though...I cannot fathom anything that would come from you resembling an explanation, that wouldn't be just obscenely re tarded. I'm putting a gods honest effort into it. But cannot attach any logical reasoning to that question in the slightest. Something tells me that is because neither can you. You are welcome to try though, and grace us your superior insight into gun ownership and the respective philosophies of use for each firearm you recommend everyone in the world emulate. Cuz god forbid peoppe dare do different shit right? That's just preposterous isn't it
People stop repeating what you hear if you have no idea what it means ,he says 1911's is his "bread&butter" this makes 0 sense bread and butter is not the main course it can hardly be considered a side so someone please explain if i am missing something 😅😅✌️
I just don’t get the 2011 hype? You want a Glock with 1911 grip angles shadow system for like $650. Do people use the 2011 in competition? It’s massive for concealment I don’t care how good it shoots.
@@PutTheLimeInTheCoconut staccatos and cz TSOs. Fuck glocks and their owners. Cz p10, walther pdp, p365x, m&p, p320... anything is better than that shitbox of a grip angle and the worst trigger on the market.
I bought a Fusion 1911 and I can honestly say that it was the worst gun that I have ever purchased, and I can't imagine that this one would be any better. The only way to make it work correctly was to replace all the internals with Wilson combat internals.
