I have a question, according to your School do you think that theravada is the most complete kind of Buhddism. So other sects would be inferior.

For what i have learned theravada Buddhists are hinayanist: they want to exit from samsara for their own sake. They don't want to help others and gaining ghe buddha mind of enlightenment, they have not bodhichitta; is that true?

World is very much exposed to the wrong use of Shakti/Lifeforce/Dakini energy and people have become thirsty for this bliss, no proper use of it nor spiritual maturity about this has been provided. Many beings have been empowered with the energy and their lack of moral and ethical foundations leads them to superiority complex issues or seen from a Dharmic perspective they fall in the Deva realm and thus think of themselves as a higher eternal unchanging self. What the world needs is proper explanation of how this energt can be used in favor towards achieving Buddhahood more easily through wind/prana manipulation rather than using it to control the world and other beings without knowledge of this.

@@ragidyman9551This is not a simple question to answer. An enlightened being can do all sorts of things, but it cannot permanently end that being's karma, or better say ignorance. He would probably try to console the animal or maybe even help by ending that particular suffering. The Buddha did this, for example, when he sacrificed his life for the life of another being. But, If he does that, a new karma will arise which will produce a similar result, because only that particular being can end its own karma and enter Nirvana. It cannot be done by another. In the animal realm it is very hard to end the suffering, so a being must generally suffer through that and be reborn as a human, where it can end its own suffering. Buddha and Bodhisattvas can help you end your current suffering. Buddha does this primarily through his teaching. Bodhisattvas do this more directly, but like I said it is only temporary. It is like you owe someone 1000 dollars. A Bodhissatva acts like someone who prolongs the time for you to pay this 1000 dollars. He splits it by 10 for example, so you do not have to return all at once. But you still own 1000 dollars. If the animal is going through distress and is about to die the best that you can do is chant a Bodhisattva's name, pray for its happier rebirth or do a good deed in that beings name. In this way, its negative karma will dissipate much faster and the animal will be reborn as a human where it can learn the dharma or receive a blessing by a Buddha or a Bodhisattva. They help animals in their own way, but karma is karma. That particular being who is now slaughtered has, in the past, maybe 100 lives ago, maybe three lives ago, maybe 1000000 lives ago killed living beings in the same way and now suffers consequences. This does not mean that a being is guilty, all beings are actually innocent and victims of their own ignorance. Remember, samsara is beginingless from Buddha's perspective, so we have lots of good and bad karma. That's why the Buddha said that it is very hard for us ordinary beings to understand why someone is suffering. Even trying to look for a beginning or direct causes so far in the past would drive us mad. Which is why we should strive diligently towards Nirvana and help as many beings as possible, by cultivating compassion, wisdom and preventing the sufferings of other beings. When you achieve Nirvana, you will be at a point where you can understand why a being suffers, how karma is connected and how the cycle begins. Basically omniscience. Then you will understand why it is not so simple thing to end suffering of another. I hope this answer helps, may all beings be free and happy. ❤️❤️❤️

Thats because Tibetan Vajrayana is almost like Hinduism. Vajrayana took/adopted many teachins, rites and rituals from Hindu. Thats why tantra vajrayana almost look like hinduism. This makes hindu people feel like they are brothers from same mother. Then if you read original theravada Suttas, Buddhas teaching is totally different than Hinduism and Vajrayana "buddhism".

It’s the opposite, Hindus took from Vajrayana. Oldest temples in India are Buddhist. The biggest lie told is hinduism is older than Buddhism. There were several Buddhas before Sakyamuni who restore the true Dhamma. It is older than brahmanical vedas.

Yes you are right. Clearly it is mahayana story. Mahayanas don't have authentic Suttas. They cooked up lots of stories. Many sutras are composed by people. But we dont even know if those people were even enlightened or not. Many of these sutras stand against Buddhas teachings.

@@WisdomTellers Hi, you might want to read the Sattasuriya Sutta for details on how earth will be bbqed. for Maitreya to become a buddha he has to realise his awakening on his own effort. a "buddha" cannot read or be taught any teachings of past buddhas if not he is just an arahant if he gain nibbana.

Maitreya is not due for around 5 million years. Do the maths. Humans increase in height one inch every one hundred years until they reach the height of 160 feet and increase lifespan every one hundred years until they reach 80,000 years. Buddha's normally reincarnate every 93 million years but Maitreya's is a very quick reincarnation.

Hello! I think your question is completely valid. Buddha said to question everything and not just believe it because he said it. I think Buddhas take rebirth in wealthy families to show that even though you have the best conditions (health, beauty, money, etc.) you still suffer and should strive for Enlightenment. It would be very obvious to think that a poor person wants to chance his circumstances, but it's not so obvious when that person has everything anyone strives for.

It is by questioning that we gain deeper understanding and you are right to seek answers. On reflecting your questions, I thought to offer my understanding, with the knowledge available to me as a Buddhist, as to why things play out a certain way. I hope these answers will help you in some way to reflect on these questions and find some clarity. There are different stages to enlightenment (that dismantles the 10 fetters that bind beings to birth-death cycles called samsara) and it is Bodhisatvas who are yet to be fully enlightened that come in human form to complete their enlightenment process and shed the light of Darma and show others the way to enlightenment with the highest love and compassion for all of life. These beings go through rigorous training in samsara by being born countless times in all imaginable forms, from animals to hungry ghosts to waterborne creatures to humans in different levels of society, poor, sick, downtrodden in order to develop unconditional love for all sentient beings. They engage in practices such as deep meditation to purify their mind towards attaining full enlightenment/Buddhahood and as a result, gain much merit or wholesome karma that I believe doesn’t allow for birth in suffering states such as being born poor, since they’ve already served in those testing states, since the laws of karma operates for all alike. Also it is fair to assume that they set a fine example by being born rich and then letting go of worldly pleasures and belongings as proof that the state of enlightenment is the ultimate bliss state/freedom that surpasses anything in the material plane. It is the state of complete freedom from ‘being’. A fully enlightened being does not want to experience let alone indulge in anything the material world has to offer because they have broken free of avidya (ignorance of the true state of phenomena - that everything on the material plane is subject to decay and death which brings dukka or suffering/dissatisfaction). The Bodhisatva (the one aspiring Buddhahood) will go through a period of indulgence in worldly pleasures to help remind him the dissatifactory nature of worldly things that will then push him to attain full enlightenment through which he frees other beings who are willing to surrender their ego and follow the Dharma to gain enlightenment. sorry to say, but you have a misunderstanding about the mahayana path. everyone has different state of mind so we need different method to understand things but what should we keep in mind is the view ,If you see behind every method, there is a view that differentiates the path of different religions, or you can say different school of thoughts as for india . many concepts are alike in many of these philosophical schools, but what makes them different is the view rooted in the philosophy. buddhist masters says" it is the view that differentiates all the religions " , so it doesn't matter any method even it is just a story to inspire people like us who are always needs references, as long as we don't deviate from the right view , it is a skillful method, not something superstitious or mythical. at ultimate level chanting matras or rituals is a skillful method ,its not something praying to some god it's to discipline yourself it's a way to bring awareness at present moment,when they say everyone has buddha nature it means everyone has the capacity to achieve a state of a buddha mind, then how cannot there be another buddha or thousands of buddha if you believe in only the buddha who appeared thousand years ago then you are negating the fact that liberation is for everyone , theravada , mahayana, and vajrayana, these all paths have Buddha's wisdom and that all matters.

But in the Bhadrasutra it dilineates the lives of 1005 Buddha's and what caste they will be born in. Some like Shakyamuni was born into the warrior class,some into the Brahman class and there is even one Buddha born into the Merchant class if I remember correctly. @@naturecure280 There is a Buddhist book of paintings and dharma sermons called The Perfection of Wisdom. It may be the most accurate depiction of Siddhartha ever, showing him as a giant surrounded by smaller humans and with gods as his Arhat disciples. In this book, Siddhartha the Buddha of the Shakyamuni tribe of Nepal, presents two future Buddhas. One is Maitreya, who gives a sermon that is highly intelligent, almost like he is discussing Quantum Physics and the fundamental nature of reality. His dharma closely aligns with that of Bodhidharma - founder of Zen Buddhism around 500 CE. The other future Buddha which Siddhartha introduces is female. She gives no sermon and is presented with no name but a title: which I think was something like the Golden Lotus. Since the Buddha has an avatar cycle of every 500 years, it makes sense that she appeared around 0CE, perhaps as Mary Magdalene the wife of Buddha Issa or Jesus. Mary was said to be wholly enlightened. She moved to France eventually and her disciples said she demonstrated many yogic powers such as the ability to levitate in the air and heal with a touch. Before she left Jerusalem, Mary gave several sermons to the disciples of Jesus about the fundamental nature of reality and these are contained in various Gnostic tractates. She was the only woman Jesus ever allowed to give sermons to his disciples. And of course, there can be more than one Buddha at a time. The disciples of Dipamkara were all Buddhas, not Bodhisattvas, but Buddhas, and they split up the entire world between them so they could cover more ground. As for the NEXT Buddha relative to this moment, there is a high agreement that he will be Buddha Maruku. He sits western style and the Japanese believe he lives in the western half of America right now. Jewish Rabbi's from various conservative sects (re: The Rebbe) believe he was the first and original Yahweh, and that he has been living in the western half of America from which he will soon emerge with his dharma. There is a belief that he was the first known Buddha, called Dipamkara, who was the master of one Sumedha, who later reincarnated as Siddhartha Gautama, according to stories Siddhartha himself taught. The Muslims call him the Mahdi or Messiah, and they claim he will be a white man from the west, with green eyes, a mole on his cheek, a bald head which looks like the moon under certain light, a birthmark on his right thigh, and an injury to his right eye which is imperceptible to others but still there. The Mahdi will unite all true spiritual people from all religions, because there is only one kind of enlightenment ultimately, not 7 or 10 or 24. You are simply dying under controlled circumstances and then exploring the reality that awaits you.
