I ordered a Luba and was charged for it on the 24th of May 2023. I waited for one month and I didn't get what I ordered nor a message from their sale departement informing me that the order was dispatched. Of course they didn't react to any email I sent them. I reported the transaction to PayPal and I tried to get my money back. Probably by pure chance I received one day later an apology email from that fraudulent company trying to convince me to drop my claim on PayPal (they even offered me a free set of blades for doing so). Of course I declined and I waited for PayPal to solve the case. On the 20th of july, PayPal decided on my favor and refunded me. So my advise: don't touch that company and their products even with a ten-foot pole, there are a fraud!

I’m still learning my 1000. I stay away from house while setting up perimeter but it still manages to scrap against house. What’s the trick to keep it tight perimeter?

Good review and looks like a good machine, but 75 mm height cut is not going to work for Florida St Augustine.

I’m curious about the durability of the robot mowers. I can’t see the current offering still mowing in 18 years like my Toro Super Recycler. If you are mowing daily, you are putting 3x to 4x the amount of wear on the mower compared to a walk behind.

I have the Luba 5000 myself... It's heavy (50+lbs) and well built. I expect to get 10 years out of it easy. I expect in 10 years mowers like this will be far more commonplace, cheaper and more accessories. I've seen a new robot that not only cuts grass but has an attachment for a snow-blower. That blew my mind!

@@covertpuppytwo3857 I hope you're right, but highly doubt it. I've got a 5000 model delivering tomorrow, but I got the extended warranty through amazon, plus the additional year for using the prime credit card, so 6 years of coverage total - I only plan on mowing 2-3x a week, not every day, and even given that fact I'm 100% sure I'll have to use that warranty inside of the 6 years at some point. Too much plastic on this thing to think otherwise, not to mention this is the very first edition of the Luba, so the hardware is undoubtedly far from perfect. Still want to support them however, as they're pushing the boundaries of what robo mowers can do currently, and that's really cool :)

There's actually 4 models. The 5000 is available in either the omni-directional front wheels, or the all rubber tires version (the original). At least Amazon has both.

Still waiting for the robot vacuum manufacturers to jump on board like Roborock & Roomba. They’ve perfected vacuuming inside with Obstacle Avoidance, Lidar, 3D mapping, no-go zones, scheduling, etc. Why can’t they do the same outside?

You can adjust the height of cut in the app super easily. Lowest it will mow is just over an inch.

Yes you can run it at any time, but obviously will attract more grass clippings if you live somewhere where the grass is damp at night. Will have to clean it out more often. Battery would probably last longer however, due to cooler temperatures.

This was sent to me. However, I would pick it because it has dual cutting units for a wider cut compared to other mowers on the market currently. No permitter wires. Pretty much everything is customizable - height of cut, mowing pattern, how many permitter laps, whether permitter laps are done first or last, single or double pass, how it turns around. It's really pretty great. I'll have some more content out soon. I have some more thoughts I want to share on the topic.

I can tell you specifically why I bought the Luba 5000...Due to health reasons mowing the lawn isn't feasible anymore and due to a steep short incline (about 4ft) at one end of my yard and a lot of tight spots a riding mower wasn't practical. I inquired with a local dealer about the Husqvarna robot mower and when he came out to look at my yard his opinion it wouldn't handle the hill or the complexity of the yard. He did mention that he purchased a Luba 5000 just to experiment with and was willing to let me demo the unit for a couple weeks so I could give him feedback on how it performed. I mapped things out and it took about 1 cut and I was sold on the unit. There is a learning curve on figuring out the best mapping for your individual situation which taught me a lot of tricks but in the end the Luba handled the steep incline (works best in zero turn mode) and handled the complexity of my lawn...On a side note that can help with the " Chinese crap no service" comments you hear if you buy it through Amazon you can get a 3-year extended warranty

I think the robot is a good ideal for elderly people but for young people not so good. It is good exercise and people are just getting more lazy. There are claims that the remote for TV's caused 5lbs in weight gain just using the remote. My dad was 88 years old and still cut his lawn and refused for me his son to do it. It was a small lawn but he did it.
