I hope for more map like Natlan thingies from story speculation videos or something like new lore speculations or characters, Really EXCITED for more videos
Throwing my two cents in because why not. Overall I think hoyoverse is trying to break up their exploration into smaller pieces, but they also LOVE to take things vertically now. Thinking about how we either go through the current nation to get to the next, or go through an expansion of another (Chasm). This plan allows us to take a boat ride to natlan (I want to think is an island) or at least on the other side of sumeru desert and fontaine moat (area between fontaine plateau and the other nations). I feel that dornman port will be the area that leads us to snezhnaya, and as much as I wanted it to be in the top left corner of the map i feel like it will sit in between and above fontaine and mondstat. 4.2 - east fontaine 4.3 - X 4.4 - Chenyu Vale 4.5 - X 4.6 - west fontaine, the mountain, finish the "Fontaine Plateau" 4.7 - X 4.8 - toss-up, they could do a limited event (Bottleland rerun?) but I'm feeling sumeru port to lead us into natlan. 5.0 - 5.1 Natlan (I feel that natlan will be fairly small horizontally) 5.2 - Mare Jivari 5.3 - X 5.4 - Probably Blackcliff forge 5.5 - X 5.6 - Long awaited Dornman port. 5.7 - x 5.8 - Limited Event most definitely. Last one? 🥲 6.0-6.2 Snezhnaya 6.3 - x 6.4 - Snezhnaya cont. 6.5 - x 6.6 - celestial grounds (area below celestia?) 6.7 - x 6.8 - Definitely a permanent area. Maybe something similar to enkanomiya that is related to a fallen civilization or the unified civilization. 7.0 I have no idea. Also random crack theory kind of related to the map: So far we have NORTHlander billets (Mond, Liyue, inazuma) and MIDlander billets (Sumeru, Fontaine), what do you think the last one will be? what if "north" in teyvat is actually in the direction of the spiral abyss? This would make the three northern nations, two midland nations, and maybe natlan and snez can be southland. I love the idea of the fontaine plateau being the central body of water and center of teyvat while the others suround it. But idk how likely it is to get the west side, or worse, the northwest side of fontaine in game from the way the map is playing out...copium
I think the right side of the map is Abyss related. Musk Reef is at the very rightmost edge of the current map so it will probably be super endgame stuff 🧐
Okay so the Mondstadt expansion of the Dandelion Sea will have to come eventually and that will probably be with El Capitano at war with the adventurer's guild leader (name escapes me). Don't forget that the Mare Javari and Bennett are linked and so there could be possible reason for the Mondstadt expansion to be associated with Natlan in 5.0.. Inazuma had Enkanomiya as an expansion kinda like how Mondstadt had Dragonspine, and Liyue had the Chasm.. The Liyue expansion of the port will def come sooner rather than later because of in-game dialog keeps bringing it up.
the patern that Mihoyo has done since Inazuma is x.0, x.1, x.2 main expansions x.4, x.6 side expansions x.8 summer event with limited map in some of these versions there has to be a "dlc area" for the main region of the version cough cough... Remuria... cough... and the other version usually gets a free pass from what can be
I don't see how 4.1 was a flop. Sure, act 3 was a bit of a slog, but it was a necessary build up for act 4 which was fire!(imo) Plus exploring the research institute is really cool.
